I got two of this camera, my first one in 2004. Always loved the E-1. With 5 megapixel it can take lovely portrait that today’s 50+ megapixels cannot do.

Wow, looks amazing. This is definitely giving a lot of film cameras some serious comp.

Beautiful! A very good example, that you don't need high megapixel cameras to get such good photos! E-1 is a fantastic camera, I love mine too.

Sigma Foveon are closest to film just because the sensor works the same way negative films do.
And the bonus of being just as painful to use as analogue film, its slow, mostly just manual focus and extremely painful post-processing work to achieve the best results.

I personally think the best film look on a digital camera is the Fujifilm S5 Pro with the excellent SuperCCD sensor. The E-1 is really nice though too, thanks

Good god what a soulful camera. Currently own a 5d and a fuji s5, not as taken with the S5 as i thought I'd be, might replace with an E1 if i can find one. Hopefully can adapt m42 glass to it

I also liked 5d, but I like ccd more, but someday I want to try Fuji s5 too. There is an m42 adapter for 4/3, it was inexpensive, I also put sigma 20mm 1.8 under pentax through an adapter.

Thats why i abandoned m4/3 in favour of E300/500.

@@AriusNowak Do you know if there are adapters for m43 glass to 4/3 mount? I've been looking for one but can't seem to find any at all

@@yeahyeahyaha2 You've probably found out by now, but you can't mount M4/3 on 4/3 - you can go the other way though.

Lovely colours but they’re not film like. If you’ve shot Kodak E6 film it’s completely different

Yes, no filmic grain, texture. Hard to explain that I mean. But film itself can be so different from each other: konica, agfa, fujifilm, kodak, etc. IMHO

yes, i think ccd is better, e330 was a good camera, but i think e300 will be more interesting or e500, you need to look for inexpensive options

Well actually I do shoot both systems. I have owned practically every existing m43 camera. Olympus does have quite nice color science. For example after some tuning of oranges and reds Olympus Pen F is closest to the real world as far as I know. But still my E-! is special. I love it when shooting portraits during a sunny day. Nothing can beat it. Cheers
