he Monkey King (simplified Chinese: 孙悟空; traditional Chinese: 孫悟空; pinyin: Sūn Wù Kōng) is best known as one of the main characters in the 16th-century Chinese novel Journey to the West (traditional Chinese: 西遊記; simplified Chinese: 西游记) and many later stories and adaptations.[1] In said novel, Sun Wukong is a monkey born from a stone who acquires supernatural powers through Taoist practices. After rebelling against heaven, he is imprisoned under a mountain by the Buddha. After five hundred years, he accompanies the monk Tang Sanzang (唐三藏) riding on White Dragon Horse and two other disciples, Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing, on a journey to obtain Buddhist sutras from the West (India), where Buddha and his followers dwell.
Sun Wukong possesses many abilities. He has amazing strength and is able to support the weight of two heaven mountains on his shoulders while running "with the speed of a meteor".[2] He is extremely fast, able to travel 108,000 li (54,000 km, 34,000 mi) in one somersault. He has vast memorization skills and can remember every monkey ever born. As king of the monkeys it is his duty to keep track of and protect every monkey. Sun Wukong also acquires the 72 Earthly Transformations, which allow him to access 72 unique powers, including the ability to transform into animals and objects. He is a skilled fighter, capable of defeating the best warriors of heaven. His hair has magical properties, capable of making copies of himself or transforming into various weapons, animals and other things. He also shows partial weather manipulation skills and can stop people in place with fixing magic.[3]
The supernatural abilities displayed by Wukong and some other characters were widely thought of as "magic powers" at the time of Journey to the West's writing[4] and were often translated as such in non-Chinese versions of the book. - เพลง

No offense, journey to the west is a masterpiece but it only kind of counts as mythology, since the most important character in it is original and its a 16th century book.

I didn't personally find a recorded definition that included false in it, but I can back up its being used in context to refer to the gods, although the word in English is another spelling of devil. It refers to a god primarily in Romani and Welsh Romani, to add onto what the comment above said.

Once again, great job on the rap. It's really good to see people start to recognize mythology for what it is when it comes to songs of any kind and yours is far and above one of the most accurate portrayals of Sun Wukong I have had a pleasure of listening to in any media. Music was great, flowed really well and the lyrics brought everybody's favorite mokey king to life. What's more important to me was how accurate everything you talked about was and, as i said before, i was absolutely not dissapointed. Same as in the "Mythos" video, there are mistakes but you make up for it with production value
You did a great job with references to his achievments and personality. Loved the diddy reference btw. When you talk about his exploits i love the mention of the Heavenly rampage he did before he got a mountain dropped on him. Also the reference to Jingu Bang (the magical size changing pillar that Sun uses as a weapon) and how he always has it on him (cause he shrinks it down for easy carry) was well placed. Nice play on the title of the "Great Sage Equall to Heaven", well done as well as mentioning the 500 year time skip while he was under a mountain. Drawing a reference to his birth, his strenght and the fact that Journey to the West left such an impacting legacy was really well done. The entire flow ending with the death note part is why i praise you for your accuracy, even if i do have some gripes. He is impolsive and does what he wants when he wants it and you ended it with him ereasing his name from the book of the dead which was his 2nd way of cheating death. So, totally on point. And yeah Sun is super op, only wanted to lazy around and neither Luffy nor Goku can stand up to him. Mentioning Laozi and the furnace as well as the fact he rides a nimbus, amazing stuff.
The praise might seem wierd but i was typing as i was listening to the song. You did an outstanding job for the majority of it. I did find couple of things that were not exactly accurate. Now it could be just me not understanding what you were trying to say but fro. My understanding they were inaccurate all the same with one smalle nitpick that, arguably, there was no way you could have known.
-> So the funny part, actually, Sun was an 8-fold immortal monkey. At the end of his journey, among the 7 immortalities he got, he ate food directly meant for Buddah meaning he gained another layer of immortality from it.
-> Important thing to note here is that, i get the play on words i really do, but he wasn't born from a fruit and you did mention this later down the line. He was born from a magic rock that was sitting atop of Mountain of Flower and Fruit. I get what you were going for, but you could have worded it a bit better.
-> "Call me a savior you can't be more honest" is a line that.....i don't know if i am missunderstanding or not but Sun was anything except a savior. Sure he helped Sanzang and was a king to his monkey band of missfits, but he did a lot of stuff that was really plain evil. And i am not even talking about pre-500 year imprisonment. Before the 500 year skip he ate people, went to war over bureaucracy, insulet buddah, etc. This is well known sp i am not going to go into too many details. When he became Sanzang's protector and disciple, he would kill anything that posed even a remote threat to anybody in the group, and he would do it with glee. Sun destroys a priceless heavenly tree laden with immortality-bestowing fruits simply because the guardians won’t share. He flaid people for fun in front of Sanzang to prove a point. Some killings were justified but he was not a savior. Also the chorus is kind of semi-inaccurate. He didn't protect people per say. Again before the 500 year skip, he ate them alive. It's easy to forget but sun is actually a divine demon, not a divine monkey. Like he is absolutely not a hero. The protagonist of Journey to the West, sure. But a hero? Absolutely not.
Overall i stand by my assessment. You did a wonderful job bringing the monkey king to life and you deserve all the praise for that. I still think "Mythos" was more accurate and as such i can't rate this higher than a 9, but still you did an amazing job and i really can't wait to hear your next mythology based rap.

1. honestly i double checked the number an many sources said 7 (eg wikipedia says "Sun Wukong gained immortality through seven different means" ) but you right, he was 8-fold and i feel really stupid about it now (the whole EE-x-EH-UN rhyme scheme would be completely different if i knew lmao)
2. yeah he was born from a rock on the flower and fruit mountain yeah and it was what i was referencing, the word play could still be interpreted like that i feel, but i understand the confusion
3. I know, but the idea is that he's cocky and it's from his POV so he has an exaggerated view of himself even if it's wrong

It wasn't even meant to be a critique, just an "oh btw" bit because it happens at the very end of the story. And i am talking like chapter 100. You are absolutely fine. There are so many things to praise about this song that the 3 points are nothing more than nitpicks, really. Keep doing great work and keep making awesome songs, my guy. I normally is rather calm to rap BUT THIS THIS MADE ME LOVE IT. I loved Wukong since childhood he is one of my favouritte characters and this rap especially the ryhm and how melodic part balanced with rap and how Wukong sass and breaking of forth wall (since he is a trickster) were included Can you make an rap for Magical Index? Accelerator specifially? One way road... Byt he way it fun but he reminds me a bit of him... And of someone once sealed, who also trued to become a God like Wukong and Accel... Wukong is called Awakened to Void, well, have you heard of another "Lord of Nothing"? Who was equal to heavens army too...

And Acceleraror inspired Wanderer from Genshin Impact. And also Raistlin and Caramon Majere probably insipred Vergil and Dante 😅😂. Again Genshin Impact: Aether: "My twin tries to kill me/desrpry the world" Dante and Caramon: First time?
Also great character from Dragonlnce is Tasslehoff Burfoot, kender and ICON of ADHD. Tasslehoff gets a moment in Dragons of Winter Night when he, in an attempt to convince the humans and elves that it will be worthless to fight against each other, throws the Dragon Orb against Whitestone, shattering it. And he does this knowing full well this will almost certainly lead to his death. This moment is then followed by Fizban calling out all the leaders there and telling them they can't use the orb, as well as Theros Ironfeld throwing a Dragonlance at Whitestone right after, shattering it.
Years later Tasslehoff Burrfoot manages to make Chaos (the father of all the Gods) bleed with an Heroic Sacrifice. When you consider that Tas is basically the Plucky Comic Relief of the team, and an annoying kleptomaniac who doesn't seem to be able to stay quiet or still and who can drive even elves mad with his innate ability to make up insults, you can't say that he wasn't short of courageous. Bonus points for using his insulting ability to attract Chaos' attention.

Love your music and love multiple different mythologies so this is a very cool song! Sun Wukong is such a cool character with a lot to him so it is very cool to see you pick him up and manage to reference all these different powers of his + his personality. And last but definitely not least, the instrumentals, your rap and the chorus were amazing!
