Yes, your grip is changing from inside the hoop to outside the hoop back to inside the hoop with the forward weave and also with the backward weave. The only part where the grip does not change is the windmill where you just hold it (that last three beat). So you're holding the bottom of the top of the hoop, then the top of the top of the hoop. Does that make sense?
