Like I said in my video, you have to use Active Voice where the "Subject" person is important. Where the subject is not important, and you are talking about general stuff you have to use Passive voice. For example: "Sir, I have completed the work you gave me yesterday. Shall I bring the bring the file now?" In these sentences you are talking about yourself; so Active Voice is appropriate. "Sir, the carpentry work in our office was completed on Wednesday. (Passive voice; because the carpentry work for our office is important). We paid the carpenters 90% of the amount (Active voice). The balance will be paid after a month as per contract. (This is passive voice, because it is obvious that no one but us will pay the balance. The Passive voice is used just for some variety in making sentences.) We can also say say, "We will pay the balance after a month" This is in Active Voice. There is no harm. You are the best judge to choose between these two voices. Generally Active Voice is better. Passive voice is used when the Subject, i.e, the doer of the action is not important or obvious.
