I may not be a Mormon... but I feel the devotion in this hymn... It makes me tear up every time, and I consider it part of my personal requiem, my personal penitential hymn... the most beautiful non-Catholic hymn in my book, and it always lulls me to this beautiful place of rest and respite- I feel the love of God, and feel almost as though the Father is here to tend to my aching wounds spiritual and physical. I feel the Savior’s mercy... I feel the Holy Spirit relighting the fire in my heart. If the Heavenly Mother indeed exists, then I feel her too.
Yes we are children of Heavenly Parents. I know deep down my heart we have a Heavenly Mother and feel so much love for her. I pray i live worthy to return home to my Heavenly Parents and elder brother and saviour Jesus Christ🙏❤
Since my beautiful wife of nearly 56 years passed, I sing this song most nights before I sleep. Thank God, or father for his comfort. He is really in the heavens watching over us.
My wife passed 3 months ago and some days I’m OK then I open a draw in the kitchen and I lose it. I watched her go a little ever day for 6 months, while he cancer Doctor told her “this cancer you have is curable. I need to hear your testimony of you sing this song every night. I to will start sing this hymn “O my Father,” and “Because I have been given much.” Thank you for sharing. You inspired me.
@@larrysurtees5504 Thank you dear brother for your testimony. What a joy to be part of this glorious gospel. I love you from across the world. I hope you heal and never forget your sweet wife. Heaven will happen, I know we will all meet there in a joyous occasion.
I first converted to the LDS faith back in the early 1970's. I had just gotten a divorce. And I then met the man who would be my husband after my baptism. We were married then a year later we, and our son were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. Unfortunately, about 9 years later he fell away from the church and God's gospel. I continued to go to church, with my two children, pay my tithes, and attended the Manti temple every few weeks, despite my husband having denied the Gospel. After 25 years of marriage, he divorced me. I have refused his asking me for a temple divorce. He remarried a woman he knew from High School. I am not perfect, I have been inactive off and on through the years. But the one thing that sustains me is I Know this is the True church. I now live in Southwestern Carolina the Appalachian's. I know God and His Son, Jesus Christ, love me and all my family. I am almost 70 years old and I know when I leave this plain, I can't wait to see my Savior and Our Heavenly Father, and the rest of my family. This song always makes me cry, with joy and the peace I feel from its words. I know He loves all of us. And I love all my brothers and sisters in this world. I thank Our Heavenly Father for the blessings He has given me, and watched over me. Amen.
Thank you for sharing your experience, Linda. We are so glad that you could feel the Spirit while listening to this hymn. We also hope that General Conference was an uplifting and inspiring experience for you over the weekend. Heavenly Father and Christ love you!
I am an 85 widower and about to see them all. I once left my mortal body and I know that I am an eternal spirit and that this Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Restored Church of Jesus Christ. I am also a former Baptist minister and the Holy Spirit led me to read the Book of Mormon 53 years ago and I know it is all True. I also witnessed Israel becoming a Nation in 1948 as I was 9 years of age and heard it on my shortwave radio. Wow, I witnessed a miracle that seemed impossible. Thank you all. PS: I was married to an angel 66 years when she was called Home. I look forward to joining her as soon as Heavenly Father calls me Home too.
I'm a member of the church of Jesus christ of Latter Days Saints since 1979 I'm very happy all my family are member in this true church all I leave in the name of Jesus christ Amen
My parents sang in the Tabernacle Choir in the 1950s. In those days the choir had assigned seats. I sang in the choir in 50 years later and they moved our assigned seats around month to month. To my great delight, shortly after joining the choir, I was assigned the very chair my father always sat in and on Father's Day we sang "O My Father" that day. This was one of heaven's sublime mercies as my father had been gone a few years earlier. And on the cover on the music was a picture of the choir in the 1950s... my dad sitting in the chair I now was assigned for this exceptional day!
Opening hymn at my dad's service, he was buried in his Temple clothes, his death got me going to church. I didn't believe in organized churches, however I always knew of God and Jesus, but the church treated me like I had been a member for years and that drew me to it, how they treat each other. I bear this testimony in the name of Jesus, AMEN!
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a true and living church! Congratulations on your conversion. It took me many trials before I came back into the fold! God bless!

Thanks for an amazing miracle of tendernesses through song and praise. In a world of such polarisation it has so lifted my spirits, especially today. 🇬🇧 6:53
This takes me back many years, when I was young and innocent. A time I made wrong choice after wrong choice. Now I'm old and full of the regret of a life that missed the right path, long ago. The door to the precious saviour, remains open, despite our failures, the choice is always ours to make. Father, I am yours. I always have been. Hallelujah.
My 83 year old Daddy is in ICU on the Ventilator. Trying to rest his lungs while medication tries to heal a terrible lung infection on top of COPD. He has sung this hymn every night for a long time. Now , we sing it for him. May he rest in peace while we sit for God’s will. But one day, he will see those he loves again, his Heavenly Parents, and his Savior. I’m so thankful for this hymn.
A great song worthy to dedicate to our Almighty Father in heaven who create, rules His purposes to harmonized, balanced this world we live in with great love through Jesus Christ as the mediator ♥️
I was born and raised in the LDS church and I cherish everyday and moment of this doctrine. Music is our way to express our feelings and emotions and at the same time show our appreciation to our Heavenly Father for all He has given us. This is a very sacred hymn to me.

1. O my Father, thou that dwellest In the high and glorious place, When shall I regain thy presence And again behold thy face? In thy holy habitation, Did my spirit once reside? A beautiful rendition of one of my favorite hymns. I sang it as a solo during our 9 am service at Spokane Valley United Methodist Church on August 1, 2021. The fourth verse is so meaningful: When I leave this frail existence, When I lay this mortal by, Father, Mother, may I meet you In your royal courts on high? Then, at length, when I’ve completed All you sent me forth to do, With your mutual approbation Let me come and dwell with you.
This is one of my favorite hymns. The day (hopefully far away) im buried i want this at my funeral. In Swedish , since im Swedish. Both me and my mother love this hymn , especially verse 3 and 4. We love that it mentions both our Heavenly Parents, not only Heavenly Father. When i hear the hymn i can allmost se Them stand at the gate of Heaven, eagerly waiting. Last sunday i actually drew a picture of that, but i didn’t give our Heavenly Parents faces or other bodily characteristics, i drew only the contours of them close to each other at a gate, shining with rays of light. My mother loved the picture instantly, so she had put it on the table beside the sofa where she sleeps.
It is a beautiful hymn that carries the mind and spirit to greater places. I have been inactive for many years but I still feel the peace and love rhis hymn radiates..

Not only does the choir blend so, so beautifully, but spiritually as well. With all the commotion of today, we are truly blessed to hear them testify of JESUS the CHRIST.
This too is one of my favourite hymns. It was sung at my mother in laws funeral. While on my mission one of the assistants to the mission President sang it and his voice was one of the most beautiful I've ever heard when he sang this hymn. There are two hymns that stand out as my most favorite, this "Oh My Father "and "A Poor Wayfaring Man Of Grief." Both bring the Spirit tio my heart. Their teachings are beyond what I can express on words.
I enjoy this tune, which is called Hyfrydol,. It was composed by Welsh musician Rowland Hugh Prichard around 1830, and it has been used in a number of hymns. My favorite is "I will sing of my redeemer and his wondrous love for me"
I love the beginning of this version, love the tender sound of the organ. It conveys the feeling of the hymn. This hymn is so filled with love and with longing for our heavenly home! It makes death seem less scary. The day im dying (hopefully many years away) i hope someone will sing this to me as i go💞
this is a very humble and very sacred hymn to me and tells of where we come from and where we later go at death. To really listen to this hymn describes the LDS faith and what we believe. We have a very choice choir that sings this hymn in a very sacred way. This is one of my most treasured hymns!
An inspired hymn, one of my favorite hymns, may we do all that is required which has been provided so that we can reside with Him in His royal court above
This is one of the most GOATed songs in the universe. This is literally on the top of my list. When people ask what my fave song is, I say this song and sometimes another. Like His Voice as The Sound.
I will sing of my Redeemer and his wondrous love to me; on the cruel cross he suffered, from the curse to set me free. Sing, O sing of my Redeemer! With his blood he purchased me; on the cross he sealed my pardon, paid the debt, and made me free.
The more Iisten to this beautiful hymn..the more I love n appreciate my Father in Heaven n his son Jesus Christ and their beautiful plan for me n for all of us!❤
Wonderful doctrinal words of assurance in these bitter/sweet times. The ultimate Father of fathers, He is and will be with us as the darkness settles, broken apart in time by His Light. Thank you for sending this out with your voices of "gathering" as our Prophet admonishes us.
No matter what doctrines may divide us, rites, teachings or anything, if we have but one thing only, total love of one GOD - Father, Son and Holy Spirit and to love one another as He commands. This is everything!
God has more for you. There are 3 Heavens. You must join the Restored Church of Jesus Christ and receive the Priesthood and gain knowledge in the Holy Temple to Enter the Celestial Kingdom. Now your knowledge is the Terrestrial kingdom only. You are saved but only to the Terrestrial Kingdom. You must merit the Celestial Kingdom by being a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am 85 years of age and joined 53 years ago. I know if you search it out you will have joy. Love you brother.
Our foster daughter's favorite bedtime song....lol, makes an interesting counter to You are My Sunshine." She calls it "You are My Father," and it brings her peace and knocks her out every time. Foster parents will tell you how fleeting peace can be for these tiny souls. I hope she is able to retain it when she goes home. 😢
Thank you for producing this music. It goes out for the whole world to hear, carrying the good news of Jesus Christ. Thank you, too, for showing some black and brown faces among the performers.
I love this hymn. Beautiful and the lyrics are perfect :) This is one I want played for my own funeral because it encompasses the entire plan of salvation.

The entire plan of salvation is in this song, so beautiful, gracious and perfect.
❤️❤️❤️
1. O my Father, thou that dwellest
In the high and glorious place,
When shall I regain thy presence
And again behold thy face?
In thy holy habitation,
Did my spirit once reside?
In my first primeval childhood
Was I nurtured near thy side?
2. For a wise and glorious purpose
Thou hast placed me here on earth
And withheld the recollection
Of my former friends and birth;
Yet ofttimes a secret something
Whispered, "You're a stranger here,"
And I felt that I had wandered
From a more exalted sphere.
3. I had learned to call thee Father,
Thru thy Spirit from on high,
But, until the key of knowledge
Was restored, I knew not why.
In the heav'ns are parents single?
No, the thought makes reason stare!
Truth is reason; truth eternal
Tells me I've a mother there.
4. When I leave this frail existence,
When I lay this mortal by,
Father, Mother, may I meet you
In your royal courts on high?
Then, at length, when I've completed
All you sent me forth to do,
With your mutual approbation
Let me come and dwell with you.

One day we’ll delight to sing this to Him in Heaven! 💕
Since my eternal princess and companion passed last year this song brings me so peace in know she's with our Father and one day I'll join her there.
As I make funeral arrangements, this is my number one song to be played at my funeral....which will be sooner than later.
Bernie Sammons 🙁
I have loved this hymn since my youth. When my dad passed away in January 2017, this was one of the hymns at his memorial service. I had no idea it was one of his favorites
Ce chant, je ne l'oublie Pas... c'est celui que j'ai choisie le jour de mon baptêmes dans l'église de Jésus christ des Saints des derniers jours... même si mon choix à été de la quitter...

There is no greater belonging than the love of our forgiving savior and our heavenly father who knows all our actions before we even do them. We are all his beloved children not one above another we arr all his love that's why you feel the spirit my friend. God bless you for commenting.
My dads favourite hymn played at his funeral
I am LDS, BAPTIST, BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN, ADVENTIST ETC...I LOVE EVERYONE THAT LOVES THE LORD AND EVEN THOSE WHO DON'T
Then I would like to invite you to be baptized by one who holds the proper priesthood authority of God. :)
Thank you for your love of all our Father’s children. We all need to do that!
I am grateful to know that I have a loving Father in Heaven. It is a great joy to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!

🇳🇿what an honour it would be to be a member of this choir. Feeling very spiritual listening to this hymn. Setting the tone for my day.
Not only does the choir blend so, so beautifully, but spiritually as well. With all the commotion of today, we are truly blessed to hear them testify of JESUS the CHRIST.
My number one favorite hymn. Contains the plan of salvation and exaltation in a nutshell. To be played in my funeral service.
Lovely. Revisiting here.

We haven't sung this hymn in church for many years. Forgot how much I love it
This too is one of my favourite hymns.
Blessed Lord Jesus Christ , heal me . Have mercy on a sinner and a begger . Amen .
I cant tell How much this hymn put my mind in the eternal perspective everytime i listen to It. My favorite
This song makes my cry and needed this as friend had suddenly past.
This arrangement has inspired me since I was a child. Today as I'm nearing the 70's I still find solace.
Stay strong sister. Heaven knows. 🙏🙌💯😇❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
நன்றி இயேசு அப்பா.
I enjoy this tune, which is called Hyfrydol,. It was composed by Welsh musician Rowland Hugh Prichard around 1830, and it has been used in a number of hymns. My favorite is "I will sing of my redeemer and his wondrous love for me"
It sounds so sincere because the belief in the words the choir has
Truly a Heavenly inspired hymn
I love the beginning of this version, love the tender sound of the organ. It conveys the feeling of the hymn.
This hymn is so filled with love and with longing for our heavenly home! It makes death seem less scary. The day im dying (hopefully many years away) i hope someone will sing this to me as i go💞
Uwielbiam słuchać pieśni chóralne to moja największa pasja
I had learned to play this on harmonica at a young age.
As I become old it is such a wonderful comfort to me.
this is a very humble and very sacred hymn to me and tells of where we come from and where we later go at death. To really listen to this hymn describes the LDS faith and what we believe. We have a very choice choir that sings this hymn in a very sacred way. This is one of my most treasured hymns!
I love this hymn ,I get so teary eyed
The lyrics, says it all, powerful, O MY FATHER.
Mine too!
Such a glorious hymn ! Sung with devotion and beauty by this superb of choirs! Doubt it could be better!
This is the hymn i wanna sing on my wedding day
What a profound hymn. What this song can teach about the pre-mortal existence is astonishing.
Lindo. Himno. Me. Facina. Todos. Saludes. Hnos Hnas.
I will sing of my Redeemer
and his wondrous love to me;
on the cruel cross he suffered,
from the curse to set me free.
Sing, O sing of my Redeemer!
With his blood he purchased me;
on the cross he sealed my pardon,
paid the debt, and made me free.
Beautiful beyond imagination!
You are are beautiful musicians!! Thank you for the inspirational song! God bless you both!!!
So heavenly!!!
I love this hymn it's on my list of favorites!!

We are children of God
Just woke up this morning with a craving to hear this song, sung by this choir. It’s going to be a good day!
Thank you for producing this music. It goes out for the whole world to hear, carrying the good news of Jesus Christ. Thank you, too, for showing some black and brown faces among the performers.
🥺🙏🏼💙
So beautiful!!!!
