- Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cavalcade was stuck on a flyover in Punjab on Wednesday for nearly 20 minutes due to farmers blocking the flyover. Private cars were also seen approaching the cavalcade, which was a major security lapse. It alleged that the Punjab government failed to deploy additional security to secure any movement by road. PM Modi was scheduled to address a rally in Ferozepur today, but the event had to be cancelled.

Doesn't matter which crowd were there. If the Pro-BJP or Anti-BJP or Farmers, the route should have been clear. SPG doesn't take any route randomly, state police is responsible for making routes of all the plans (Plan A or Plan B or Plan C ...) clear in advance. Security officials travel in advance (ahead of PM) to ensure there are no sudden blocking elements on the route being taken.
It was a minor protest and not a security breach.the bjp has huge anger and bent on revenge for the farmer's protest and want to create violence in punjab in an attempt to try and impose president's rule and try to justify more killing of thousands of sikhs like in the 80s and 90s and try to create disharmony between sikhs and hindus in punjab.

This is the second video by India Today, I am witnessing. Congress panelists in both of these videos, sorry to say, come across as genuine scum bags. This is a shame. Who ever is running Congress needs to look into the quality of spokespersons they send to TV.
Congress spokespeople are spouting lies and are focusing on '700 seats' and 'last minute route change' and '700 farmer death' narrative. As it's been proven that the SPG will not leave with the PM convoy till they are given an all clear by the state police. In this there has been collusion by the state government and Punjab police to leak the route after the PM convoy has left so that hundreds of protesters were able to block a 'flyover' ( the most security critical point). If GoI does not come down hard on Punjab administration then this will be repeated in all states where Modi is hated ( Kerala, TM, WB, Kashmir)
Channi the liar asshole refused to meet with PM as he was 'isolating' and then later in the day gave a press conference without masks- if this is not a sign of collusion to harm the PM's life then I dunno what is!
It is so sad in India that the state governments run by the opposition work against the central government and against the best interest of the country whether it is a case of PM’s security, BSF, Central Government Agencies fighting the corruption, terrorism, money laundry, hawalas, etc. They are only interested in petty politics and protecting their turfs at any cost, even at times at the expense of he best interest of the country. Why do Indian PM or any any MP need heavy security and road need to be cleared off for his journey. I think the PM should learn from others countries how there PM behave and travel with local citizens. Like Queen and Pm of UK and other countries travel in train with general public (yes they do have security around them but at least it does not cause inconvenience for citizens having road closed etc).

The real security breach of PM happened in 1967. PM Indira Gandhi was hit on the face by a rock in Bubaneshwar Orissa. She was bleeding profusely, She did not runaway, she finished speech. I just went over the whole sequence of events in my mind. They are dribbling information which they cannot defend. You cannot casually say the weather was bad and so the PM decided to take the road instead of a helicopter. Does he decide by himself that he can do this or that? Aren’t the SPG’s supposed to do this?. If it so happened as recited, they would have undoubtedly said that “the SPG said the PM should take the alternative route. “ It should come from the SPG’s mouth and not the PM’s. What were the Ground Procedures? What was the weather forecast. If as the PM tells that there was a weather condition how can he expect the people in the pouring rain to listen to him. The program would have been cancelled without further question. There would have been no saying that the PM had to take the road. Carefully connived portrayal of what took place.. These are some thoughts going through my mind and limited as I layman. These people are known to plot stories on the spur of the occasion. I think this is what must have happened; a narrative that won’t be questioned. On that particular day I don't see anyone, farmers included holding an umbrella over their heads.
