- Hi guys welcome back to another Make Way With The Morleys video. This time we are at the NEC Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show.

So, we are at the NEC in the hunt for a new Caravan to buy. Part 2 of this mini series is a look at Swift Caravans. The models we're looking at are the Sprite Super Quattro DB (8ft wide) and the Challenger 590.
Please bear in mind that we are looking at these Caravans and evaluating them to OUR needs, for the ages that our kids are and to our tastes and preferences.

The Challenger looks a better option and better spec, put the darker upholstery in it and Kate will be happy! far more practical with three children. The useable bathroom with fully lined shower was a must on our search, much better than the wet room. Happy searching 👍

It's not bad, far from it and the NEC with it's low light and lots of 'vans so close to each other doesn't really show them off to their best potential. Cheers, Andy
In the small cupboard next to the dinette in the Challenger, there should be a TV point and mains socket towards the top at the back. I have that on my Sprite.
Good to know, we were in a bit of a hurry to film everything. I thought it seemed odd to have what looks like something so obvious to not be there! Andy
Hi Andy. Great review of both caravans. The 2nd TV point in the rear is in the small cupboard next to the dinette. Same as in our caravan. 👍

Fair reviews on both caravans Swift seems to have the upper-hand on floor construction with being fibreglass they would not rot.

Hi. Great vid. We have this van, we bought in April. Just like to say that we have the bbq point, 240v socket, solar, blinds are different as we pull up to black out and pull down for fly screen, motor mover, ATC, alarm and second tv socket in bunk area. Ex demo 22k. Few niggles to start with but Spinny have been happy to resolve problems.. thanks

The Challenger had another set of bunk beds on the other side that you didn't comment about. That's a lot of caravan for 22k.
That's true Vince, I think it was edited out. Indeed it is, however its a shame because we only went in that Caravan to be sure it wasn't the layout we wanted. As it's the same as the Xplore. It's a lovely 'van but just not what we're after, for now. Andy
If you pull down the fly screen as well as the blind it cuts down the light coming through
Hmmm, tried that on the Xplore... didn't work out that way for us. Maybe we're picky! That said, it's not a deal breaker. Andy
I personally found that a dealer special upgraded Sprite offers the most at the right price. I also found the Swift Command Unit to be a gimmick and badly thought out

Great to see the super quatro DB,, we bought this exact model at the oct18 show, but have not used it yet. One more month and it's out of storage!

Hi Liz, only problem with the Challenger was that the layout is the same as the Xplore and for me (Andy) I wanted something different. We wanted to be sure that was still the case and as such why we went in it. But, I take your point, it is a higher spec than the Super Quattro DB. Shame Swift don't make an alternative layout, mid range spec. Andy
Nice video both, Our Swift Challenger (2016) the front bed we can fit a kingsize mattress topper on. Plenty of sleeping room. Having looked at the build quality of other manufacturers we still prefer the Swift. We took a look at the 590 dealer special yesterday at our dealer, and posting a quick tour video on it tomorrow.

Good video. I found the Super DB the lack of another roof light is a bit of a shame. I think everything else was great about it.

Like the look of the sprite although I'm with you on not liking the front console and also not a fan of the silver surrounds on sockets and switches. Not a deal breaker but doesn't float my boat.

I went for a dealer special Swift Sprite Super it has the lighter Corniche interior, BBQ point, External 240v, upgraded blinds for 22k we have 2 young girls and a teenager like yourself and we love the layout

Hi have you had a look at the elddis 866 especially the dealer specials ? It's the same layout as the sprite but with more refinement. I think the elddis came out first then the sprite copied their layout.
