The first few seconds are on the UW campus. Quickly we jump to the landing at the Merimac Ferry and the crossing itself. The ferry itself is the Colsac I the first of three by that name. At 1:30 we shift to Dinosaur-land Just across the river from the upper dells boat docks. At 4:18 we briefly see the Milwaukee road's Hiawatha speeding by. We switch to Storybook Gardens at 4:35. We briefly see St. Cecelia's catholic church letting out after Sunday mass. We see a few shots of Broadway Ave in downtown Dells. Lastly we go to Fort Dells At 9:48. After that it seems to be a trip to the Mayo clinic and a trip around the twin cities. Thanks for posting these films. Lots of personal memories revived upon seeing them.
I have a sneaking suspicion that between the UMinn Medical Center and Mackinac Island that they were in Duluth, up on the bluff looking down at the lake and port area, probably with Superior, WI in the background. The laker boat says that's not the Mississippi River. They draw too much water for the river, which is why that all moves by barge.
@@jdcunnington - Yes, they were up on Skyline Drive in Duluth, overlooking the Duluth-Superior harbor. The wooden bridge near the coal docks was the Arrowhead Bridge, at one time a toll bridge, running from south-western Duluth to West Superior. Part of it remains as a fishing pier. This was filmed in 1962.
I'm going to comment more later, but this is a trip from the Twin Cities to the Dells and to Duluth. The red car is a 1962 Impala Sports Coupe and I don't see any newer cars than this, so it would be the summer of 1962?

@Brittney Jade - I was hoping a local would chime in with that knowledge.
