    it looks like the bizarre love child of a currawong and a lorikeet. No match for the fearless Gymnorhina Tibicen.

    Watching these birds is funny. Besides being very intelligent, they are really agile on their feet. Growing up in rural Idaho, USA, they were everywhere. Unfortunately, around farms, they were considered a pest and people shot them all the time. If I ever had the opportunity to rescue a baby, I'd love to raise one.

      OpiateX I would also have a bay magpie as a pet! They are so cute and adorable and sweet! My most favorite sound is their little screeching noise! It makes me so happy to hear and I just want to give them some food and make some friends! I have four baby magpie friends in my dreams! Essie is one of them! She screeches louder than her three siblings! She's curious about everything that is around her, she's very smart and intelligent, she's adventurous, she's very skittish, she'; feisty, and she hates car rides! She tries unsuccessfully to copy everything that I do! She goes everywhere with me, even in the places where she isn't allowed, but she still manages to sneak in! She's also pretty weird! Instead of eating by herself, she wants me to bottle-feed her or hand-feed her! She doesn't even leave a cut, a scratch, or a mark on my fingers! She's so gentle! Instead of black eyes, she has blue eyes with golden flecks inside of them! She has three sisters! She's the loudest out of the four babies when she gets really hungry! She mostly eats soaked cat food and milk mixed together in a baby bottle! One of her sisters likes to tag along with me it her when we go places together! Essie loves snuggling with me and sleeping curled up next to me! She also loves taking nice warm bubble baths! She hates cold water just like I do! She also hates being called a magpie, even though that's what she is! SheD rather prefer to be called by her own name or the names Baby or baby girl, which I call her most of the time! She gives high fives and she knows how to step up onto my fingers! She mostly perches on my shoulder! The only times that she's on my fingers is when I'm feeding her or when I just want to hold her for fun! She sticks close by me most of the time! She loves to dance and listen to the music that I like, which is electronic music!

    @MegaWizeguy Magpies are not related to Mynas. They belong to the crow family; Mynas are from the starling family.

    I may be wrong, but this looks like a Magpie Lark (smaller, and more melodic, than the regular Australian Magpie). If the size doesn't work for determinig the difference, there's a blueish tinge on/near the tail feathers. Only been living in oz for seven years, so I could be wrong. But I noticed the similarities (and differences) between those two Magpie Larks and regular Australian Magpies, a few years ago.'

      +Vinton Mccabe This is a Eurasian Magpie, which is a corvid (like Crows, Ravens, Jays, Jackdaws) whereas the Australian Magpie is a butcherbird.

      Well, I know for a fact that he isn't a black billed magpie or a yellow billed magpie. He must be a European or a Eurasian magpie, then.

    • @amayaw2002
      @amayaw2002 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      He isn't a black billed magpie or a yellow billed magpie. He must be a European magpie and a Eurasian magpie. Someone wrote in the comments that he was an electric blue color, and not black and white with the blue and the green sheens on the wings, the head, and the tail.

    Did he really say "what do you want"? It seems like he was mostly asserting his dominance over the land you were treading on. I think he kept repeating "Rooney" and landing close to you so as to establish who owned the land you were walking on. This is Rooney's land, yo! :-)
