That outro solo by Kanami is the most tender and sweet thing I have ever heard in my life. You know she poured every ounce of her love into this song. They all did.
Became a Beatles fan at 15 and loved every song they did (yes, even Revolution Number 9) and never did I ever think I'd find another band that could do that for me again.
40 years and worth the wait!! It's an amazing catalog.
@@ThouDailyBlab I agree...I bought my first Beatles album in '71,the year after they broke up. I was only 6 and Meet the Beatles for one dollar seemed like a great deal. I was hooked. Band Maid gives me the same sense of awe and wonderment that I had back then.😲
@@frankandre4385 Lennon died and the radio stations played every song instead of the usual 6 or so. It was a whole new world. Your last sentence was me as well, and I suspect many others :)
I literally could have written your post except that I discovered the Beatles at age 8, right at the end of their run in 1970. I never imagined another group could ever mean as much to me as the Beatles have throughout my life, but five years ago, in my old age, I found Band-Maid. I still can’t believe what this group has done to me-certainly including “The One.”
@@c.7610 Beatlemaidiac is the term I use :) The Beatles made me enjoy music, and Band Maid has made me 'listen' to it and appreciate it more. They are rare.
@@ThouDailyBlab My late mother was quite the closet rocker. She would buy Beatle albums for us so we wouldn't just have mom & dad's music. They bought us AM transistor radios as well. Mom was also a fan of Alice Cooper (Welcome to My Nightmare was her favorite) and ELO.🤯
People often compare this band to the Beatles (including in this comment thread). I do. The miracle is that this is despite most of their songs not even being in a language we speak. That is truly mind blowing.
I’m in my 60s. In 50+ years of listening to rock music I never heard a band that came close to the Beatles. I’ve liked lots of bands over the years, but the Beatles were my first musical love and nothing could ever equal them for me. Then one day about five years ago I impulsively clicked on a random YT recommendation…and everything changed.

For me personally, This is one of those songs that keeps getting better with every listen. Just like Forbidden Tale, The one is a musical journey that shows you how wonderful the music can be when it's written and performed with such heart and passion

This is a beautiful song, even a masterpiece. Goes right up there for me with Daydreaming, Anemone, About Us, and others. This feels like a song that Kanami wrote for Saiki, as if she started by hearing Saiki's soaring vocals in her head, and then wrote the music around it.
Presented by two of my favorite TH-camrs. Who get it, and who obviously is feeling the same things that I am. No words to describe the greatness of Band-Maid.

Saiki’s Voice is absolutely amazing. This is next level band maid IMO. Best song on the CD. I hope they do a video to go with it. The lyrics are amazing. I can’t remember if it was this song and it was about Kanami’s grandmothers passing?.

The songs already released earlier in the year are just Band-Maid awesomesauce! The six new songs are so tightly integrated and complex, it's going to take a Tokyo minute to assimilate. But I already love Forbidden Tale, and especially The One. Thx, Ryan & Ohrenje! 😉🤘BTW... We should all wish a "Good Luck" to Band-Maid's new self-run management company: Maidit, Co., LTD!
Will they managing other bands, boost Cluppo and Maiko projects, or tour more internationally? Or maybe they will expand their business interest to other sectors of the music biz outside of Band-Maid. I believe Kanami wants to get more into composing, scoring and production. And as for Miku and Saiki, the sky's the limit for what they'll want to do in merch, fashion and art, etc..

La meilleure chanson de l'album à mon avis. J'exclus les 'singles' déjà sortie avant l'album comme Shambles, Protect you...ect.
Complètement d'accord. Personnellement, j'aurais trouvé encore plus percutant d'avoir un album ne contenant que les chansons récentes et plus moins inconnues jusqu'alors (Magie, Forbidden Tale, Brightest Star, Letters to you, The one, Go esay, Toi et moi, Tamaya, Get to the top). Le fait d'avoir inclus des chansons déjà publiées depuis longtemps pour faire un "full album" a probablement amoindri l'effet "wow" de l'ensemble musical délivré par les Maids. J'ai été impresssioné par la qualité de composition de ces nouvelles chansons qui me semblent inaugurer une nouvelle phase artistique du groupe. On est d'accord encore sur le fait que "The One" est une pure merveille.
