    Whoever declared a frontal lobe traumatic brain injury to be "beneficial" knows absolutely nothing about traumatic brain injury, particularly the effects on young men. Frontal brain injury is known to cause such issues as anger management issues, lack of insight, poor impulse control, etc etc.
    None of these things are beneficial, especially when considering recidivism and propensity for violence or reoffending.
    That initial plea deal was based on faulty logic and should have been invalid. The original murder charges would have kept him in prison and saved a life.

      Yep, I've had a severe TBI. It makes you both less emotional, like totally dead outside of some exhilaration, and more impulsive. We've never seen someone mellow unless the frontal lobe is literally short circuiting. Even then they're still more impulsive just a little less crazy.

    • @roby3291
      @roby3291 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    • @jessytinsley3285

      The reason he was released early on parole was because if they waited until the end of his 15 years sentence to release him he would have been released without parole, they released him early so they could legally keep track of him after his release. The observation period helps prevent repeat offenders and it is extremely successful in comparison to making people serve their entire sentence in prison and then experience an unmonitored unsupportive release, On parole they are Forced to have jobs, take drug tests have a steady home ECT... Parole is actually an extremely successful program

      In 1940, my dads dad (my grandfather I never met) had a giant pulley come down on him hitting the top of his head. He never got medical attention for the injury that knocked him out cold. But after that accident, grandpa was never the same. Every night he came home he would beat grandma. My dad was 15 when he said NO MORE! He got between grandpas fist and grandmas face. Grandpa pulled out a knife and tried to stab my dad. Dad suggested they take the fight outside so as not to mess up the carpet. Grandpa withdrew his knife and left the house. Grandma filed for a divorce. The next time my dad saw his dad was at grandpas funeral.

    After the first incident, Joseph should’ve stayed in prison For life, he murdered a female that could’ve been alive today if he would’ve moved on, but his choice was shooting and killing her and almost killing others as well. What is wrong with this system A courtroom and these individuals come into my courtroom. It would be almost impossible for them to escape prison life you cannot believe liar.

    Why was this allowed to happen? The justice system. Lol quite ridiculous but very American. Parole board is responsible for his future actions. A 3 year old wouldn't let him out

    This is so messed up, they were more worried about the 10,000 fine than getting justice for the family
    i cannot believe how many chances they had to put this man away, our legal system is a complete failure
