You know where you say “if your not sure you’re saved, then your not”. That freaked me out. I 100% believe that Jesus died on the cross for me and that His shed blood covers my sin but satan always makes me feel like any sin that I do is going to make me lose my salvation. I know that’s not true but I doubt sometimes. Always thinking I’m not good enough and even though that’s the truth, that’s not what makes me saved or unsaved. I’m going to stop doubting and just believe because that was a very sobering comment that makes me not want to doubt. Just faith in Jesus’ shed blood. Thank you Jesus. When I am going through hard times I try to remember that satan is causing the problems, not God, because God is “for” us, not against us and that God can use any bad situation and use it for good. I believe saved people can have doubts about their salvation. Would he really tell someone who asked “how do I know if I’m saved?” who reads their Bible and prays and loves God knowing about Jesus, that he was never saved because he or she at least had a shadow of a doubt?

There are two versions of ourselves living in the same body an unsaved version which is the flesh (which sins and is NOT loyal to God) and the saved version which is the new creature (which does NOT sin and is loyal to God). So, if you are having doubts about your salvation then who are you following the new creature or the flesh that isn't even saved yet?

At 20:55 where you talk about the soul leaving the body. I am a nurse and once when I was working at a hospital I was frantically called to a room where there were 2 patients (semi-private they used to call them). The one patient said the other patient on the other side of the curtain was in distress and crying out and had suddenly just stopped. When I got down there the crying pt had passed away. He was a DNR (do not resuscitate). The guy that had called me asked how the other guy was doing. I felt heavy and told him that he had passed away. That guy about jumped out of the bed and he had had abdominal surgery so I don’t say that lightly. He was begging me to get him out of that room. He said the other guy had been yelling for something to leave him alone and get away from him. I had to push this guy out into the hall he was so freaked out. If I were not already saved that right there would be enough for me. Anyway what you said just brought that memory back. On a good note, that’s the only death I ever experienced that was not peaceful and I’ve been a RN 21 years.

Jesus died once and he said his work is finished so, believe he has done it! But, when you know you’ve sinned (because believers still sin) you thank him for his forgiveness for that sin he already paid for and repent because, as his own, we love him and desire to live godly lives, not because we’re afraid we’ll lose our salvation. So, Jesus died once for all. All sins are forgiven, past, present, and future. To ask him for forgiveness after accepting the Gift is to reject His act as valid. Repent, sister, but no need to ask forgiveness. You are sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. We all continue to sin. We should continue to repent. But He doesn't need to die again for us.

I sort of thought that you die when your spirit leaves your body, I figured that the spirit is the thing that animates your body in the physical world but your soul is your being and is who you are, your spirit is detached from your body and is the thing that keeps you in the physical world.
Your Spirit = Holy Spirit of God....... If you Believe in Jesus & hold on to His saving promise. As Robert said in beginning of sermon, Adam was made in image of God. Body, Soul & Spirit.. after eating off the forbidden tree , Adam lost The Spirit and thus was destined to die. We as Believers in Jesus are given God's Holy Spirit, it is what seals us. It is God's marker that we belong to Him . When Jesus returns , He will take His Holy Spirit back to heaven with Him, and all those who have His Spirit in them. I believe saved people can have doubts about their salvation. Would he really tell someone who asked “how do I know if I’m saved?” who reads their Bible and prays and loves God knowing about Jesus, that he was never saved because he or she at least had a shadow of a doubt?
@@alil6547 The flesh of a saved person can have doubts about its salvation because the flesh isn't even saved yet, but the new creature inside a saved person has no doubts because it is saved.
There are two versions of ourselves living in the same body an unsaved version which is the flesh (which sins and is NOT loyal to God) and the saved version which is the new creature (which does NOT sin and is loyal to God).
So, if you are having doubts about your salvation then who are you following the new creature or the flesh that isn't even saved yet?

At 20:55 where you talk about the soul leaving the body. I am a nurse and once when I was working at a hospital I was frantically called to a room where there were 2 patients (semi-private they used to call them). The one patient said the other patient on the other side of the curtain was in distress and crying out and had suddenly just stopped. When I got down there the crying pt had passed away. He was a DNR (do not resuscitate). The guy that had called me asked how the other guy was doing. I felt heavy and told him that he had passed away. That guy about jumped out of the bed and he had had abdominal surgery so I don’t say that lightly. He was begging me to get him out of that room. He said the other guy had been yelling for something to leave him alone and get away from him. I had to push this guy out into the hall he was so freaked out. If I were not already saved that right there would be enough for me. Anyway what you said just brought that memory back. On a good note, that’s the only death I ever experienced that was not peaceful and I’ve been a RN 21 years.

@@Debaoth keep asking for what? Forgiveness? Jesus forgave ALL her sin (past, present and future) when she was saved. You don’t need to beg God to forgive you of your sin over and over. Jesus died once and he said his work is finished so, believe he has done it! But, when you know you’ve sinned (because believers still sin) you thank him for his forgiveness for that sin he already paid for and repent because, as his own, we love him and desire to live godly lives, not because we’re afraid we’ll lose our salvation. That’s not possible. We’re paid for in full.

So, Jesus died once for all. All sins are forgiven, past, present, and future. To ask him for forgiveness after accepting the Gift is to reject His act as valid. Repent, sister, but no need to ask forgiveness. You are sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. We all continue to sin. We should continue to repent. But He doesn't need to die again for us.

I sort of thought that you die when your spirit leaves your body, I figured that the spirit is the thing that animates your body in the physical world but your soul is your being and is who you are, your spirit is detached from your body and is the thing that keeps you in the physical world.
Your Soul = your Mind, Will,& emotions.
Your Spirit = Holy Spirit of God....... If you Believe in Jesus & hold on to His saving promise. As Robert said in beginning of sermon, Adam was made in image of God. Body, Soul & Spirit.. after eating off the forbidden tree , Adam lost The Spirit and thus was destined to die. We as Believers in Jesus are given God's Holy Spirit, it is what seals us. It is God's marker that we belong to Him . When Jesus returns , He will take His Holy Spirit back to heaven with Him, and all those who have His Spirit in them. I Thank God So much & so often for His Holy Spirit. He , The Holy Spirit of God is a great Comforter, a guide, a wonderful constant reminder that God is with us, every moment & Loves us So Dearly. I have been his full time support(I am Aspergers so I know a lot about his struggles since I lived them for decades myself) since 2004 as my wife has earned a better income than me so without extended family support(they all bailed) we choose for her to work and for me to be the main caregiver but after 17 years I am so tired, not beaten just worn out.

@@kathyfugere6085 I'm American and I've lived in Québec for 32 years. I've never seen such sacrilegious people in my life. When they turned on the Catholic church they turned on God also and they even curse using words associated with the church.
