Classic example of US media’s idiocy bias: we should listen to any random famous person on all topics, regardless of their knowledge or experience in the specific area.
kind of surprised to hear charlie be skeptical abt global warming, considering he is a cautious person shouldnt we be more cautious abt experimenting with the only livable planet we got and be careful not to rise global temperature too quickly?
He's a wise man yet, like many people, struggles with the concept of exponential growth and self-amplifying mechanisms. 1C temperature increase in the last X years doesn't mean it's going to be only the same amount in the next 200 years.
Obviously he understands that oil consumption is not linear, but as when consuption eventually starts to decrease he's challenging the thesis of how high the temperature will actually increase vs consensus
@@DM-bn6bf My comment wasn't about oil consumption. There are self amplifying effects in the world's ecosystem. Temperature increase will speed up even at constant oil consumption. We need to get to net zero carbon emissions asap. It's kinda irrelevant for a quasi 100-year old.
This view isn’t that different than Elon Musk’s really. Charlie is a beast, still spitting wisdom non stop at his age. That is amazing.
What about minerals !!!??
If I am 25% as articulate at 100+ years as Charlie is, I'll be astounded.
Even though Charlie is more right leaning than buffet, the man cares more about logic and not politics
Wiser advice rarely given. Burning hydrocarbons idiotic. Particularly since there's so many alternatives.
Question , what think cyber securities!!??

longest question ever
Meanwhile Buffet hauls oil on his trains …. From South America …. Follow the money
Maybe we could talk Munger into Bitcoin via its incentive to aggressively perfect cheap renewable energy :D ...?
