Thank you so much for bringing the awareness on such a terrible thing such as PSSD! 🙏
PSSD - something ENORMOUS is switched OFF in the brain, that's the conclusion from all people
I checked all possible hormones and all is fine, which makes this problem just more confusing

Thank you dr. Pearlman and dr. Witt-Doerring for bringing attention to PFS and PSSD. Absolute life destroying horrible conditions. Keep up what you're doing! It brings much hope to the sufferers!

45 seconds is all it took to deliver the concise information for the patient to be fully informed and able to give informed consent....45 seconds (56:45 to 57:30). If a doctor considers he/she doesn't have the time to do this...just give out a printed version. So easy, so many lives not ruined.

Just giving a brief discussion is sufficient and a printed document. If they don't have time for a discussion then DO NOT prescribe the drugs.

I was not given informed consent. Sexual dysfunction is unfair. I’m hopeful to be healed some day.

Dr. Pearlman, what's your take on the penile morphological changes and shrinkage that is often reported in PFS and PSSD. It's not mere ED. The tissue has actually changed (narrow, wrinkled, rubbery, curved, veiny...)...? Btw, I've tried tadalafil 5mg every day, vacuum devices, etc. and it does not change the tissue changes, nor the numbness. With respect, but massages and nipple play do not offset the complete destruction of your genitals and sexuality in the slightest. It's the reason why this condition results in so many suicides. It's very very bleak.

I'll show this video to guys recently suffering from PSSD from long COVID, which iditiotic dotors are treating with Zoloft (and that seems to precipitate PSSD in these folks).
There's a link between PSSD and long COVID, me/CFS.
Now just note I'm surprized on how you're focusing on penile function for what concerns PSSD. PSSD is central, it's the central nervous system, it's not peripheral. It might envove the similar mechanisms as me/CFS/ long COVID : the microglya, auto-immune mechanisms, it is obviously a form of chemical imbalance in the brain and brain downright damage.
People with long COVID don't get PSSD naturally (that I know of), but PSSD/ anhedonia seems to get triggered very easily in them with anti-depressants or particularly ashwagandha (a horror movie).
The medical system is broken indeed, it's disheartening. PSSD is caused straight by medication, and so is the anhedonia that comes with it.
If you could explore the long COVID links to it and get in touch with people from the polybio [dot] org consortium like Dr Amy PROAL or Dr David PUTRINO and so many others it'd be great.
The next generation of doctors need to BUST this insanity... Where are we going...

Unfortunately this is a very poor superficial talk about PSSD. This lady should learn more about the mechanism of action of SSRI/SNRI and how they induce emotional numbness and PSSD in the nervous system. As she doesn´t fully understand the psych meds in deep regarding PSSD, she is mixing up a lot of other things which are not the root cause of PSSD.

  • @user-pofd6c

did it ever occur to you that maybe the key is norepinephrien?? cause the SNRIs are causing less pssd than SSRIs and in my experience my pssd went away for about half an hour one time when I was stressed (maybe its because the stress increases norepinephrine and that decreases serotonin at the same time and I read that in the all three stages of sex norepinephrine increases )
