- On a Friday night in the early 1960s, an unexpected visitor arrived in rural Indiana. Unlike anything mankind had ever faced before, this grotesque stranger would wreak havoc throughout the idyllic Beutter county. Spilling blood across the corn fields, this small community must band together to defeat the inhuman threat, for the sake of their lives, and the sake of their planet!
Love it! So glad to have the pleasure of viewing this film… To all who made it happen, thank you and job well done! Can hardly wait to see what more is yet to come…
Thanks for the wonderful comment. We are currently working out the details for our next project and hope to be in pre-production early next year. Stay tuned!

As a 50's 60's Science Fiction fan I usually detest retro movies, but this was really well done and I enjoyed it very much 😄
Thank you so much! We tried our best to honor those wonderful films of the 1950s/60s. We approached this project as fans of the genre and took every aspect of it seriously. Thanks for tuning in!!
Every second of this was freakin' awesome! I had a huge grin on my face for 45 minutes! I guffawed a few times! When the Sherif was knocked out by the twig that fell on him I cracked up! The only thing I did't like about this piece was that it wasn't an hour longer!
Thanks for the kind words! That was indeed a very heavy twig that took down the mighty sheriff. 😆 However, when the sheriff regained consciousness, he made sure to finish the job. Remember what he said: ‘All I need is one shot, professor.’
excellent wholesome family comedy, the wigs alone deserve an oscar - quality cheese, many thanks
Thanks for the kind words, my friend! 🧀

First movie made after 2019 that I enjoyed watching. Thank you.
That’s for the wonderful comment! We’re thrilled you enjoyed it!!
The old style telephones, the typewriters, and the full-equity nonacting make this the perfect "period piece" modeled on old 50s "classic" sci-fi movies. Well done, Bravo !!! Also great music.
I just shared this movie all over FB and Discord bc this movie might be one of my new favorite movies ever and everyone should watch this, haha. Thank you to all, for taking time to make this movie. I wanna be in a cheesy campy TH-cam sci-fi horror movie now, haha
Thanks for tuning in and sharing!!
Thank you for this. Hope there are more in the works!
Thanks so much for watching our little movie! We're thrilled you enjoyed it, and there's plenty more on the way. Stay tuned!
I'm not sure what I expectations were when I pressed play on this video, but they were massively exceeded! Nothing short of a masterpiece! It's like Invaders From Mars meets the Terrifier with special effects that put Hollywood productions to shame! It reminds me of Peter Jackson's early work with Bad Taste & Braindead. Making his own foam latex prosthetics in his kitchen with his Mums food mixer & oven! Massive kudos to everyone involved! I wish you every success for the future. 😊
Wow, thank you so much for the kind words! I’m beyond thrilled that our little movie exceeded your expectations! Comparing it to classics like Invaders From Mars and Terrifier is such a huge compliment, and I'm honored you saw that spirit in the work. And yes-those early Peter Jackson vibes are definitely part of the inspiration, so I'm glad that came through! Thanks again for the amazing feedback!
This is hands down the best thing I've seen on here for ages. I laughed out loud several times, Stu and Davor were hilarious. The whole look and colour scheme was so rich, you really created a world all of its own that was still nostalgically familiar. What a a loving parody. Bravo Woody and everyone involved, I feel like you're heading places.
Your kind words are appreciated. Thank you!

This movie perfectly captures that "so bad it's good" 1950s movie vibe.
Greetings and thanks to the 19 from Australia for this fun, nostalgic and stylistically spot-on movie. Best wishes for your next production 🇦🇺🙏💙
Thank you so much for the kind words! We're thrilled you enjoyed the movie and felt the nostalgia. A big shout-out to the 19 talented people who made it all happen. We’re excited for what’s next and appreciate your support!
That was fantastic. A well done nostalgic experience.
Disney should take notes.
We are open to working with Disney. I think we can turn that company around as long as they give us total control.
Loved this! Even the narration at the beginning had echos of Orson Welles. What a great homage to all of those movies we all remember, of course with a little bit of that eighties gore we all know and love! What better combination. Best 45 minutes in a long time, and I'm married!
You sound like you get exactly what we were trying to accomplish. Thank you so much for watching and for the comment!
Loved this very reminiscent to movies of that time!
The colors popped! In my opinion the only nitpick for me was that movie would have been cooler if it was in Black and White!
Maybe make a special edition of it in that version? but other wise fantastic stuff was entertained from beginning to end!
I watched this after seeing a review for it on Sinister Cinema Reviews. I really enjoyed this. All the practical effects for the gore looked awesome. If there was a full length movie like this I would watch it for sure.
Thank you so much for the kind words! We’re thrilled you enjoyed it, and we’re definitely flattered by your interest in a full-length version. Thanks for watching!
As a 63 year old man I love how you made it reminiscent of the 50's sci-fi movies, however; lose the wigs next time. Other than that, it was very entertaining. 👍
Thanks for tuning in!
I can really appreciate this film because I know all the work & love for film making that goes into a project like this. I love the style & all the props in your film, Great video all together!
Thank you so much! It was a lot of work, but I feel like it really paid off in the end. We appreciate you tuning in, my friend!
Absolutely brilliant!! Most of the independent movies on TH-cam that claim to be an homage to the great sci-fi movies of the 50s and 60s end up being, despite the creators' best intentions, pretty awful. Talk about delivering the goods! Explorer totally captures the vibe! I kept expecting Hugh Marlowe or Richard Carlson to show up in a scene!
@@arkhammedik Thank you so much! As a fan of 1950s science fiction, I wanted to ensure that I paid proper respect to the films I love so dearly. Movies like War of the Worlds, This Island Earth, The Day the Earth Stood Still, The Blob, The Man from Planet X, Invaders from Mars, and others were all playing in the back of my head nearly every step of the process of making this movie. Aww, you’re making us blush! Your kind words about our little film mean the world to us. Thank you for watching and for helping spread the word about Explorer from Another World. We truly appreciate it!
Very good indeed love the the opening monologue style etc, but ending with "could they pose a threat to us?" when "what threat could they pose to us?" suggests a gloomier, pessimistic 1950s style I feel. Love the technicolor rich, vibrant, colours, Great work in every department and gory too wonderful.

@@lupismoon7884 thanks for taking the time to watch our film. It means the world to us! ❤️
What a fantastic little film! That was amazing! It is beautifully shot and reminds me of that 80’s classic “Strange Invaders”. Yes, the acting isn’t perfect, with the possible exceptions of Colin McCorquodale and Gemma Sterling, but considering the cast are mainly amateurs, it kind of adds to the 50’s vibe. As a fan of sci-fi and ‘splatter’, I thought the makeup effects were incredible, especially the meltdown of Nolan Gays character. With the exception of one or two dubious nylon wigs, this really is a mini masterpiece, which I would happily buy. I’m so glad I came across it. Thank you for making it 🙂
Appreciate that alot!
Congratulations to everyone involved in this it was tremendous. ❤️

This film is the GOAT!
That opening monologue along with the music... Rod Serling and Orson Welles would've been impressed!
@@madj.7379 Finally, someone recognized the Orson Welles influence in the opening monologue! What I love most about that piece is that it was written entirely by my 18-year-old son. We were trying to pay homage to the original monologue from War of the Worlds (1953), while simultaneously honoring Orson Welles himself.
So glad I was able to be involved in this awesome movie. Can't wait for the next project!!

@@SolitariusLupus7 we’re glad you enjoyed it! Stay tuned, there’s more to come!
So glad I clicked on this.
Beautifully coloured, unusual lighting, great camera angles, stereotypical characters exaggerated to the hilarious. Together with the music, the outrageously disgusting gore, the props, and the typically weird and inappropriate reactions to the situation, it's head and shoulders above the majority of home made films.
Someone obviously likes Mars attacks, American Graffiti and the style of Men in Black (as well as all those tacky 50's sci-fis). A great fusion.
Thanks so much for the thoughtful feedback! I'm really glad you enjoyed our little film. We earnestly tried to create something that felt both nostalgic and fresh. We wanted to pay homage to those goofy 1950s movies we love, while also showcasing the kind of carnage that would’ve been too much back then. It’s awesome to know it hit the mark for you!

What an awesome nonsensical fun little movie. I was clicking on this ready to rip it apart because I thought it was going to be some AI garbage but boy was I wrong! The acting is perfect for what this movie is. There is some scenes that i had to rewind and watch over just because i loved the feeling it gave me watching it. @@Piranhadrama absolutely, and we loved the other worldly green you used for the "plants" it almost reminds me of "Creep Show", the Stephen King story. any way keep it up!
@@DylanMaida-e3x We’ve heard the Stephen King’s Creepshow comparison several times. While it wasn't a direct influence on this project, we are big fans of the series. As for the color grade, in terms of the green foliage, I wanted to emphasize the greens and reds in the movie. By making the greens more of a teal color, I could achieve better color separation from the characters, particularly those wearing more yellow tones, like the deputy and sheriff.
