    Well done my sister for the good job you are doing. Let the truth be told. As a SA woman married to a Nigerian man you are the only one who can say the fact about your country bcuz you know much about your country than people who hasn't go there b4. And am sure that ever since you relocated to Nigeria with your husband and your children have you ever see anything like drug dealer or trafficking on the street b4? Nigeria government won't welcome such. I think SA government need to do something to this issue. Also crime rate in SA is beyond imagination.

    I feel like you didn't drive your point home and there's nothing you said that will convince the next person that Nigeria is better in education and child upbringing than South Africa. Yours is still a theory that's not backed up by scientific evidence. You provide no reliable stats and sources regarding which education system between the two countries is more developed and relevant. You provide no stats as to which country has more kids that are out of school. Peter Obi who is a Nigerian has answered this question. Your claim comparing a Nigerian high school girl to a South African university student is indeed an affront to the country and the people of South Africa. What evidence do you have to make this claim? Adechima is well articulate unless you found falts in her Grammer and sence construction. And I'm referring to her cos she's the one you called out. Maybe you're insinuating that a Nigerian high school girl is better informed on matters of law than Chichi which I'll find reduculous and insane. What precisely are you comparing between chichi and a high school girl. Chichi will feel insulted by your assertion. SAn universities have been occupying number one spot in the continent and being the top five in the world. Has it ever dawn to you what is it so? Everybody can say whatever they want but if you don't provide evidence or back your claim with credible data you're as good as someone who is peddling lies. I believe in evidence, in observation, measurement and reasoning confirmed by independent observers. I'll believe anything, no matter how wild and reduculous if there's evidence. The wilder and more reduculous something is, however, the firmer and more solid the evidence will have to be. Respectfully, without evidence, you're blowing hot air and hallucinating. Before you can tell me this is your opinion, I should opine that an opinion must be informed. So what inform yours? Before you tell me about freedom of speech let me also tell you that freedom of thought is important before you open your mouth or become a keyboard warrior. Think. It's still free to think. Towards the end of your video you admitted that not all South African kids have a zero home training. Equally, not all Nigerian kids have a home training otherwise we wouldn't be having drug lords and fraudsters coming out of that country. We will be having all of the Nigerian people in high places all over the world. We'll be having Nigeria as a country dominating the African continent and competing with the best economies in the other jurisdictions. We wouldn't be having a Nigeria whose presidential fleet (helicopters) and offshore properties have been attached by foreign courts and governments. We wouldn't be having a Nigerian government that breaches international contracts. We wouldn't be having a Nigeria that is divided along tribal lines. We wouldn't be having a Nigeria that is rich in minerals but has gone for days without fuel nationally. Now if you make this admission and if we agree, 9:33 what's the purpose of your rant? What's the purpose of making this video?

    • @IntellectualNaija2939-w4i
      @IntellectualNaija2939-w4i 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @elvinnybonjovi10, you started your narrative feigning a dispassionate approach to countering the observations made in the video but quickly dissolved into fallacies that can only result from a place of hate and subjective reasoning. Nigeria does not renege on international obligations. Please know the facts before making a mockery of your arguments. A regional state in Nigeria (Ogun State) if I am not mistaken signed a business agreement with a Chinese firm that was later reneged on by a subsequent governor. Nigeria was not a party to this agreement. However, since the fools who reviewed the contract failed to question certain clauses in the contract, and Nigeria being a federating country, its assets were attached even without it being a party or privy to the contract. So don’t spout the nonsense about Nigeria reneging. If anything, Nigeria has been working to bring resolution to the issue.
      You mentioned tribalism. That is something common across Africa. You can choose to play the ostrich to this truth. Maybe it goes by a different nomenclature in South Africa, but it is there. I once listened to an interview by the legend himself, papa Nelson Mandela, when he said that he is first and foremost from his ethnic group before being a South African. And that it would do him grave violence to ask that he denounce his ethnicity in order to be a good South African. Please fact check me by searching for Ted Koppel and Mandela interview. Or what was the deadly riots that erupted during the electioneering periods between ANC and Buthulezi’s Freedom Party? The tragedy is not that Africans have ethnic groups, but that politicians manipulate this social phenomenon for their own selfish ends. So your weak effort to ascribe tribalism as a Nigerian thing is hogwash.
      I shall concede that the taking of our Chibok girls and all other daughters of ours by Boko Haram is a tragedy of unmatched proportions that cries to heaven for justice. I weep for all our girls. I shall not defend the ineptitude of Nigeria on this. But you must also look to South Africa’s (all Africa’s) failures to your girl children and young women Last time I checked, South Africa was the rape capital of the world. I do not gloat over this. I weep for my South African sisters as I weep for our Chibok girls.
      I think that the main issue is the inability of the average black South African to develop themselves. Rather, you all are so quick to blame and hate others for your woes. When Nigerians celebrate themselves, and we have much to celebrate in all spheres of human achievement, know ye that it has come from years of hard-work and focus on excellence. No one listens to your deluded nonsense that Nigerians are all about scams and drugs. It is indeed laughable. It is like claiming that a foreigner could have gone to Sicily, smack in Mafia region, to control drug trade and related vices. And all those South African drug barons and outright criminals say what? Please be real folks, lest you be taken for unintelligent.
      Finally, the lady was comparing child raising cultures in both countries, rightly, or wrongly. But you quickly made it a Nigerian government issue. So much for your scientific reasoning.

      @elvinnybonjovi10 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@IntellectualNaija2939-w4i comments, statements and opinions by SAns about Nigeria and by Nigerians about SA are explosive and a lever of emotions. Emotions is by definition irrational. Irrationality can never sustain any argument worthy of being labelled "decent". Decency is the stuff of which reasonable societies are made of. To have a meaningful discourse about the subject, it's imperative that we first remove emotions. Sadly, even yourself you are not immune to emotional outbursts masquerading as argument or reason. And it's for this reason that I'll call upon you to remove emotions and never feel I've a personal vendetta against Nigeria. My approach to countering the observations made in the video was indeed dispassionate and not simulate or feigned. I'll be the first to be embarrassed with myself if I had lied about Nigeria, it's people and the leadership of that country. A regional/state/provincial government is a subdivision of central or federal government and shares political, fiscal and economic powers with a central government. The role therefore of a central and or federal government is to provide national defence, promote general welfare through social programs and manag federal finances including taxation and budget allocation. It is for this reason that the Nigerian federal government is jointly and severally liable for the debts that arise as a result of the negligence or contractual breaches by any of the it's state or regional government. When the Ogun state entered into contractual agreement with the Chinese company, it was acting on behalf of the Nigerian people in the same way the federal government would've have done. To divorce the Ogun State from the federal government is just a ploy to seek prominence in the midst of political confusion. The governor that reneged from the contract is a government agent/employer duly recognise by both the federal and the regional state. Your attempt to absolve and isolate one from the other is misleading. They can't be seperated. This conclusion is backed by the decisions of both the UK and French courts after they attached the federal government's properties. Peter Obi, whom I'm certain you're familiar with, ask this question; "After the UK ruling that prohibited some Nigerian buildings in Liverpool,what did both the Ogun State and the federal government do before the French court action? I pose these question to you. If the federal government isn't liable who didn't they defend the matter in both UK and France? Is the Nigerian government appealing the matter or negotiating for a settlement arrangement? You're wrong if you ever think my response to this video comes from a place of hatred. I was not insinuating that South Africa is better than Nigeria. Mine was to debunk the myth and lie that all of Nigerian children have home training and are better equipped than SAn children. The insult that a Nigerian high school girl can do better than a SAn university student can't be left unchallenged. In essence, all I'm saying is if her claim is correct then we would be having a perfect Nigeria where all the type of crimes coming from your country wouldn't be heard of,and I mentioned them. This was not to compare the rate of crimes with South Africa, nor was it to deny the fact that there's crime in SA. One thing for sure in SA we don't and have never had tribal wars or fights except during the mediaeval times. You specifically refer to ANC and Inkatha fights. Surely those are party political fights that were fuelled by the apartheid regime just towards the 1994 elections.They had nothing to do with tribalism. Further I'm not disputing the fact that we have tribes in SA and around Africa. What I'm showing is that the different tribes in Nigeria are at war with each other, though not physical I guess, which is an antithesis of a society with a perfect home training of its children. Your destination of tribalism is is misplaced and misconstrued. Saying you belong to a certain tribes isn't tribalism. I'm Zulu and belong to the Zulu nation but I'm a tribalistic person. What Mandela was saying had nothing to do with tribalism. Maybe you should point a finger to the vlogger who came on TH-cam and spew bile the at can't be backed by evidence. Whatever is happening in Nigeria happens also in SA. But to say all Nigerian kids have home training and some SAn children have zero home trading is an unforgivable fallacy that even you as a Nigerian should've disputed right away.

      Please take a moment and research a federal system of government. Your understanding of its conceptual framework is flawed. Nigeria models itself along the American federal system of government, albeit, practicing a convoluted version of it. Yet, the conceptual understanding of federalism remains. Federalism is a group of states or sub nationalities coming together to form a union, retaining certain agreed upon rights and autonomy, while ceding certain decision making power to a central government. Contrary to your assertion, states in a federating unit are not agents of the federal government. Ogun state is not an agent of the federal government of Nigeria and does not make decisions for either the federal government or other federating units. Surely, you don't think Texas or California or New York is an agent of the US Federal Government. I will not waste time on this. Please take a moment to study the different forms of government. It's taught in first term of first year in Nigerian high schools.
      I am not privy to what was signed in the contract that was not reviewed by the competent agencies in Nigeria which resulted in the claims made by the Chinese company. What is commendable is that Nigeria sought an amicable resolution. Not because Nigeria is necessarily at fault, but because it may cost more to litigate an issue than to settle same. Just because the company ran to several courts and got judgment against Nigeria does not mean the it is a settled matter of law. If I were president and a federating unit is in breach of an international obligation, I would simply settle the matter, then deduct the amount from the monthly state allocations to Ogun - of course within the ambit of law. It's called international decorum and finesse. But what exactly was your point raising this issue in a discussion bordering on child rearing? That is why I stated before and state again that you merely engaged in a fallacy. A fallacy of false equivalence to be precise. This cheap fallacy happens when a person is genuinely not competent in intellectual reasoning, or mischievous enough to allow subjectivity becloud their judgment. Child rearing has absolutely nothing to do with a country, or any part therein, meeting its international agreements.
      Frankly, I couldn't care less what tittle tattle goes on between uninformed folks about who is better between Nigeria and South Africa. Statistically, the answers are there. But I am all for harnessing the good in one country and applying it across the continent for the greater good of all Africans. That is what the lady was trying to pass across. Have you even looked at the education and literacy reports from the World Bank or UN for South Africa across demography? Hopefully, you are not one of those that shout themselves hoarse that South African economy (GDP) has overtaken Nigeria's. Trust me it is not a true representation of micro development. Nigerians the people remain an unbeatable force in all areas of human achievement. To beat a Nigerian, you must emphasize development as individual effort at personal growth. I am Igbo, perhaps research how the Igbo rose like the sphinx from the ashes of a brutal civil war to a place of unmatched individual wealth and intellect.
      The lady wasn't saying Every Nigerian child is well trained. What I understand is that there is a general culture to uplift kids with the right type of knowledge, instruction, discipline, life lessons. When you claim she is said ALL Nigerian children are well behaved, you make a Straw-man Argument. You are simply misrepresenting what she actually said and meant to then present an easy target to shoot down. Obviously, she doesn't know all Nigerian children, but it's easy to clearly see a culture that emphasizes education, hard-work, respect. If you visit many parts of Nigeria, a familiar sight would be a kindergartener crying and walking to school, looking backwards intermittently, with a cane wielding parent or guardian in tow. And folks on the street urging, coercing, persuading the little child to go to school for a better future. That is the culture of excellence. With all due respect, it seems the only videos of South African teens on social media and TV is of provocative dancing, twerking, clapping of butt cheeks. And all these wearing school uniforms!
      Tribes and ethnicities exist across Africa. It is not a bad phenomenon, in fact, it can be used as a vehicle for social good. Ask the Igbo, they will tell you of the Social Clubs and Age Grade Systems used to transform our people educationally and economically after the civil war. The problem is when politicians and scoundrels activate same and religion for evil. Inkatha was primarily what ethnic group? That's right. Tribalism in alive in South Africa. We call it Xenophobia, fancy word just for you all. And isn't there a part of South Africa where you are not welcome to live, build, thrive if you are not White? Or would rather call it segregation rather than tribalism? Or is it racism? And how is it between the blacks and the Indians and coloreds? If you don't acknowledge it doesn't mean it's not there. It only becomes tomorrow's war.
      There are Nigerian high school kids who can outperform some Nigerian university students. But this can be a generalized statement. Obviously, it depends on the socioeconomic background and environment of the individuals. I would personally stay away from making such a claim. But it does not take away from the general message the video is attempting to convey.
      Listen, I am sometimes saddened at how my childhood dreams and aspirations for Africa have panned out. I was nine years when I borrowed and read my first African Writers' series novel from my dad's library. Zambia Shall be Free - Kenneth Kaunda; On Trial for My Country- Stanlake Samkange; The River Between- Ngugi Wa Thiongo; Tell Freedom - Peter Abrahams (about South Africa). These and many more broke down borders, language, distances for me. It was simply Africa, my Africa. Now what?

    I think it would change a lot of things.
    Because a lot of Africans actually provide jobs in South Africa. So there would be a lot of job flight in South Africa because of this.
    Apart from that, 75% of the some of the big cities. About 75% of those houses are occupied by foreigners. Meaning this action of theirs is going to affect the South African real estate. Because when you send out the Africans. Who would be able to pay for those houses?
    I don’t know, I just think it would affect the South African economy a lot. I’ve never been there. But I read a lot. There is so many information on even country available everywhere.
    Lastly, there is also a possibility that many other Africans might tend to see South Africa in a negative light. That’s the diplomatic aspect of things, especially as we’re all on the same continent.

If big cities are occupied by immigrants, where do South Africans live, another misinformation about South Africa. Majority of African immigrants in South Africa come from countries with low income countries such as Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe,etc. They do not provide any job opportunities for locals other than seeking to compete for the few that exist.
    Other Africans should respect that we are a sovereign nation that decides what values to follow, so they should not try to impose Nigerian values on us. If a 5 year old walks around on her panties an adult shouldn’t look at her in a sexual manner. We are not a nation of pedophiles which sexualise school girls. We give a good balance between girls exercising autonomy and expression. They are not married women and the size of a skirt doesn’t determine whether a person is sexual promiscuous or not. Why are south Africans always playing defense whenever someone constructively critizes their country,even when you do so with genuine intents. So sad that we can't converse with ourselves,competing over absolutely silly things. Nigerians will criticize south Africans of having inferiority complex (for attacking innocent Africans bcos they see Africand as easy targets),while Caucasians can do as they like,steal,pillage,murder S.A indigenes with no repercussions.while south Africans claim Nigerians are all types of criminals,simply BC os they are terrified and threatened by our hustle and intellects and also how we spoil their women with money,causing them to always chase after Nigerian men. Each and every black Africans should understand that out only real enemies are Caucasians and we have to grow out of this stupid mentality of fighting amongst ourselves while Caucasians pillage and the spoils of our land,this crab in a basket mindset must change.we need to start using our god given brains if we want any type of respect from other races in the world. Europe's have no borders but they come here propagate hate and divisions and we fall for it every time. I give up. Maybe Caucasian racists are right maybe we are truly mentally inferior,so sad.

    Can you give yourself time to comment about Zimbabwe, your country. Or is there not a morsel of comment to talk about. You are bitter because you people have left your country in tatters together with your husband's country that is the most corrupt in the world.
