YES IT'S BACK thank you Jeff as an Australian this warms my heart and considering where this map is located it's about 200km away from my home town and we do the thank you thing but we do it like right blinker left right left
Hi Jeff, if you want to drive like a local here are some tips. Where there are no lines on the road, come up onto the crown of the road, i.e. drive down the middle of the road and move over when necessary. Our roads are crowned to shed water, so driving on one side means you are leaning to the left, which makes the trailers move around a lot more, it's dangerous and uncomfatable. It's also much safer for braking. When someone wants to overtake you, do not move over. You will drop your left wheels off the bitumen and throw a cloud of dust, rocks and all types of shit everywhere and they won't be able to pass, you will also break the windshield of every vehicle behind you. Keep your wheels on the road and when it's safe for them to pass put your right indicator on so they know it's safe to go around. If you are on smaller roads, especially access or remote dirt roads, you can run a fourth trailer. It's common to run an extra trailer (or three) up to a main road so you, or a second driver won't have to come back so far for your second load. Finally, road trains are not rare around here. People are used to them and most locals know the deal. Just do you, and most of the time they will move around you. Watch out for tourists and caravans! Enjoy nothingness. Also, we pronounce the U like 'you' ('mewsic' not 'moosic') so those town names are even harder to say than you think...
Do you flash your lights to let other drivers know when it's safe to pull in front after overtaking? He said that it was only an American thing but I have found truckies to be the most considerate on the road, will let you know when it's safe to pull in front and if you do the same in return you always get the left, right and then left flash from the blinkers to thank you. Definitely not an American thing, more of a courtesy and polite thing to do..
Yes always. Flash to let them know the back of the last trailer is past and they can move back in. Then left, right, left, single flash to say thanks is traditional for areas where radios are not common. Out here we are almost always talking to each other on the radio so you see it less. @@Matty12787
Man, that truck must have been built on a Friday, someone put the steering wheel on the wrong side! Ok, that's my terrible joke of the day done... 😂 Seriously tho, it blows my mind how good these mods for ATS have gotten! Just getting back into it myself after investing in a Thrustmaster T248 and shifter and have been blown away by how realistic you can make the game look and feel now!
You mean the right side of the truck
Definitely the right side 🇬🇧
At first I thought jeff was driving on the wrong side of the road and then I remembered it's Australia 🇦🇺

I actually grew up with a classmate that came to the US from Australia, it was great while it lasted.
roadtrains can overtake, they even overtake other roadtrains, they co-ordinate over cb so the driver ahead can tell them when it's clear since they are so far back and will need to spend over a minute in opposite lanes to get around
Would be good to do with Convoy
Channel 40 mate it's an Aussie thing
What they cannot do things is waiting behind a Caravan driver until the roads are clear.
Absolutely amazing Jeff. Thankyou for showing trucking from my beloved homeland. In my part of Australia that’s actually a B-triple and would be wearing the “Long Vehicle” signs. I see these setups on the road a lot.
I just go off of google images and a lot of the b triples I have seen have the road train signage
@@jfavignano It’s very confusing in my state as some of the other states consider it as a road train but in South Australia the authorities classify it as a long vehicle, thus the long vehicle signs. It was even very confusing for my some of my family who were truckers that drive the massive beasts
@@antarcticvikingIts only allowed on a Type 1 route. Therefore is a roadtrain. Can do a dollar
@@antarcticviking in south Australia a b triple needs road train signs i drive one at times :D its a length thing not a combination
Awesome video Jeff! Absolutely amazed seeing you drive on the map, can't wait too see you take the ferry from Cooladdi to Straylia map.
Little info for people that might have some questions from the video ❤;
That entire route 14 is getting a revamp soon, since it's an older road, and be continued from Cooladdi all the way to Quilpie soon. + Lot more Australian AI vehicles.
The Victoria part is entirely work in progress, but I have let that in for players that are eager to take a little peek there.
Hey m8 you’ve done so well with this! I drive a b triples every now and then from gatton Qld to Clermont. Would be wild to see that intergraded in there one day! Keep up the good work 🤙🏼🤙🏼
@@willnewing4240 thanks man!! Who knows what the future will bring
My absolute favourite custom map, your work is phenomenal
@@willnewing4240 I know Gatton very well, would love to see that too!
When ever I try play the two maps together straylia is v2.2 and outback map is 5.1, the game crashes when ever I try to visit Norseman truck dealer with no other mods
OMG i remember playing the first beta for this map, wow im happy the Rob has been updating this
This is randomly just what I needed. I don’t even play this or drive trucks but it’s nice to watch
Looks amazing Jeff! I live a bit North of there, those graphics look so awesome, and quite real tbh.
We do say thank you with the indicators in Australia
hi Jeff I am a Road Train Driver in Western Australia and i have to say the roads are not as smooth in real life for instance most dirt sections are corrugated and the seal bitumen are full of pot holes and if driving a triple the last trailer tends to be a pain but happy to see our profession make it to ATS
Yeah that road looks smoother than an F1 track. I think he is getting bumps in his rig though.
That truck sounds so good! 🤤 Great video as always Jeff.
Kenworth Australia which operates freely from its parent company PAACR makes the most toughest Kenworths and some of them will have 15 to 29 years with some trucking firms.
I love the sound of the engine.
I think its 62mph (100Kph) because that's the open road speed limit in Australia the same as here in New Zealand.
Depending on how the road is graded and in what state. A vast majority of our highways are 110 kmh (68mph) however a lot of large companies are mandating their fleet are restricted to 90 kmh (55mph) for fuel and maintenance savings.
Seeing as the vast majority of heavy vehicles are owner operated, they choose their own speed up to the max each state allows.
Some highways in the NT are 130 kph or 80 mph.
You make this look easy, I'd never be able to make the super precise turns even with a wheel like you do. You're the King of Truck sims. 😎
You can do it!
To answer your question, most countries do the flash of the hazards to say thank you - here in Australia trucks and people who know how trucks work thank each other with left, right, left indicator flash. The remainder of the population spend most of their time flipping each other the bird.
I've been to Australia multiple times and every time I would not want to go back to the US! Such a great country enriched with wilderness! Now make a video on a Jeep tackling those trails in the wild!
I live in Queensland where your discovering that map so cool to see you enjoying it Jeff 😎
got this map yesterday and did gameplay of it today have to say this is very dam cool and look forward to see where this project will go so want more of my home Country now but know its better to take time to get it right.
I’m from the U.K. but always enjoy you doing the Aus stuff (and enjoy driving it too, although occasionally wish the scale was more like 1:10 or even 1:5 - but the detail Rob puts in is incredible)
This reminds me of Outback Truckers. Top notch content!!
Hey jeff sorry I haven't commented in a while, ages really tbh, but b4 this vid has even started, dude, u made me, been waiting for this 4 ages & as a Aussie who watches outback truckers on 7mate I'm so glad this exists
But yeah have a great Christmas mate and keep safe 👍
Hey Jeff FINALLY found a free winter snowy weather mod the other day and so happy that I have a snow mod FINALLY for ATS
Finally Jeff is in Australia! Hello from Sydney!
You should really make a video on the Jeep mod, perfectly sits in American and Australian environment
The name on the back of that trailer is actually where I am from. Echuca, Victoria. Pretty cool to see a local company’s trailer in an American game🤙🍻
Good video Jeff keep it up ❤
nice road trip
DAMN YOU JEFF! I got excited and thought it was Truck World: Australia
One day
I noticed that this is set in Queensland but the police car that overtook you at the start, is a western australian police car lol, other than that, great video mate!
It’s cool that they put the drivers seat on the Australian side
I watched one of the American Truck Simulator episodes last night from 2020 and it was about the Frosty Winter Mod from the State Line of California and Oregon to British Columbia and you said a thing called "You Christmas Crap" when that Coca Cola took you of the highway. Funny
GDAY jeff nice to see the land down under from the land down under ...
Letting someone know they can bring it back in by flashing lights is a thing here in Oz mate. Thanking them is usually either a quick flash of Hazards to Left, Right, Left of the indicators. It is used around the Cities a bit but mostly on the open roads, it seems to be a dying thing as a lot of younger Truckers are not that courteous.
14:47 cinematic shot was pretty awesome.
AWESOME VIDEO JEFF
Great vid jeff
Keep up the content I love your videos 💖💖
I had no idea this existed!! As an Australian I’m way more interested in getting ATS now. Does anyone know, does the map cover the any of the West coast or just East? (Yes I realise that’s very far)
(If this is answered later in the video I’m sorry, I don’t have much time to watch or research but I will be back)
Gotta say hello to the moo-moos!
Randall!?!? There’s a cow outside!!!!
These videos are so relaxing
Spending time with family on Christmas
SCS needs to make Australian Truck Simulator
Hey mate thanks for checking out the Mod wish we could have finished it but shit happens
hello man amazing video
Thanks for the visit
love the truck videos jeff!
Hi jeff awesome video
Would be almost hell to think if the map would have been made 1:1 scale looks awsome
Much love keep it up 👍
Love this ats videos Jeff
Let me translate some for you haha
Mundrabilla - Mun Dra Billa
Eucla - U Kl a
Cocklebiddy - Cock L Biddy
Great work Jeff :)
Awesome video 👍😀
looks awesome!
This might make me download this game again. 😂😂
I used to live in a town a couple of hours from Charleville. I miss it but I don’t miss the heat lol 😂 Jeff you should listen to the song Charleville by Slim Dusty cuz that’s all I was thinking when watching this 😂
I think American truck simulator looks like such a nice game to play .
It is, I play it everyday for many hours
Oh it is
It is
ATS and ETS2 are so much fun and relaxing.
If you have a decent PC, it is. Otherwise, it's a stuttering glitchy unrealistic nightmare, lol
Think it needs the centre line most aussies roads have centre line etc or fog line . But awesome
Would love to hear tire screech in ats
You heard it here in this video
@jfavignano Yeah I know, but it's not in the main game, is it? If it is, I must have that setting off or something cuz ive never heard it!
Feels weird seeing you drive on the right side of the truck and the left side of road.
Typical american mindset
You should go to Mitchell in Queensland that’s where my dad was born I saw it on the map
EPISODE IDEA, you be a bad guy and have Bugs or vis versa be a bad cop like 1 of ur gang members infiltrated the police force. The ideas are endless and you guys could make some sick content ! Everyone tag Bugs , Ryan and Jeff or just blow this up so they see it
Nice B-triple love seeing the Aussie stuff but still on the small side for where I am in AUS lol I get Triple and Quad road trains and B-quads ( difference between a b-trip b-quad to a traditional road train is the b-triple has the 2 smaller a trailers then the bigger b trailer at the back a traditional road train is the b trailer/the large on this one and it’s 3 of them connected via dollys)
It’s funny, technically the b triple isn’t a real road train 😂
@willnewing4240 😂 get your facts right little boy I've been driving trucks in Australia for 24 years B triples are road trains 😂
Yeah it is always a battle when I do anything Aussie because people don’t think I take two seconds to google these setups haha
@@The_Aussie_Truckie brother I drive b triples. Of course I know they are road trains. But because they don’t run a dolly you always get the die hards saying they technically aren’t trains. You understand where I’m coming from
You guys are going to need a bigger police force for gta 6
Cool!
I love playing this game drunk. its hilarious. I also turn cops off shhhhhhh.
Jeff, what other countries do you plan or are planning on driving in ATS?
I love the WA towns in SA 😜
cool jeff
Hey Jeff, this is off topic of the video, what do you use to record gameplay and get your voice audio in. I have OBS but it isn't picking up my voice when I start recording for some reason.
when Riot control simulator is released
Hey Jeff, what do you use to free look around? Only think I can think of is your wearing a quest type VR helmet or some sort of eye tracking but I genuinely don’t know how that would work
Track IR
how did you get right hand drive? is it possible for me to use it on other ats maps?
When you accelerate do you push the Pedal all the way down?
what Happened to the divider in the Street or Highway you don't want to get close to the other side west and south
Is this the only aussie run the game has? I grew up in a phillips kenny and would love to relive the sydney to ardmona
Finally some more Aussie content. By the way, don't try and do the Aussie accent, it's really really bad 👍
I didn’t do an Aussie accent because yall get too butt hurt
Where is the engine pack? I wanna use this but i cannot find the download link for it in thr facebook link
Why are the roads so narrow? They so much space to make the roads wider.
Only problem i see mate is you are always driving on the curb of the Road, here in australia we always drive in the middle of the road and only go over when a car comes but we never ever go off the road as all the rocks that fly up will shatter the car window. so for safty reason it is better to keep the truck on the paved road at all times.
Unless there is another Road train coming the other way. there are a few other things but your in a simulator so you will never experience the real thing.
what kind of graphic mod do you use
great content, is the map available for download or purchase
yes
JEFF PLS BRING BACK UR SHRED LESSONS
Hey jeff, how do you do to turn the game camera. I see your wheel has no controls on it, so i was wondering if you have some kind of sensor
He use TrackIR I believe.
He always has the equipment that he is using listed with links in the description under each of these American Truck Simulator videos 🙂
im first keep up the good work jeff.
❤❤
Does this map work on ets2 1.48 if we put it?
Are you ever going to come back to BeamNG? There's just been another update that I think you'll enjoy as someone who plays truck sims.
Your mod list load order must be just hectic and long 😅
Come on dude gotta do a winterland event video
Planned
Hey good day Jeff am a subscriber am trying to build a ats Sim for my self do u know how to configure the guages to work with the game
As real world truck driver and vegan I will never haul living creatures 😁
B triple
BTw Norseman to Eucla is in WA not SA
I live in Australia
Hey Jeff, would you like an invite to play in the Skull and Bones Closed Beta?
As someone from the town please pronounce Charleville properly. Its like Charlie ville.
Cool
What is the link to the pack R ms13 engine mod?
Bro at first i though its beamng drive 😂
