Queens live performances are iconic. They are true rock legends. And as far as Freddie there are not enough words in the English language to describe how great Freddie was. R.I.P FREDDIE WE MISS YOU WE HEAR YOU SINGING FROM HEAVEN
Queen was magic through and through. They are so much more than just Freddie. When people start down the rabbit hole, it is easy, of course, to only se9e Freddie. But all four made this band. The drummer, Roger Taylor wrote this song, each of them contributed some of their biggest hits. They are all highly intelligent, the guitarist, Brian May (nickname Bri) is an astrophysicist on the side. Brian and Roger sing are the lead singers on tunes as well. John Deacon (Deacy) the quiet bassist as he is not a singer, is often overlooked and ignored (except by us), but as you go through their music, once you get settled in, pay attention to the brilliant musicality of each of them. The underlying bass gave these songs life as well. One thing to know is they were four super nice, down to earth, funny good men. Freddie was actually quite shy in real life with the sweetest heart of gold. He was a multi faceted entity that defies any adjectives to truly describe, he was pure magic. Once Queen grabs your heart, they never let go. I love your reactions, your great.
The most amazing part of this performance is that his voice was shot before the show, but he powered through it even though he wasn’t at his best. Which just shows that his B game was still better than most other’s best. Plus this was during Live Aid with the biggest bands from the world at the time, and Queen stole the whole show.
Live-Aid full performance you must see! Alot of Bands and singers performed that day. But everyone who witnessed this day agrees with Elton John "They stole the show "
Highly recommend that you watch the rest of this 22 minute set... it really does provide an exquisite sample of Queen their talent, musicianship and the showmanship of the legend that was Freddie Mercury (b 05 Sep 1946) . If you do not have anything planned for Freddie’s birthday then that would be an excellent tribute (if you can wait that long 😍) 👏👏🎤🎹🎸🥁bass🎸
Queen's performance at Live Aid is considered as arguably the best live performance of all time! At Live Aid, there were 75 acts playing a total sixteen hours of music and Queen utterly stole the show with a 21-minute set. I was raised on Queen music and they kinda ruined music for me because I've never heard anything better. Queen wrote some timeless anthems that are still played today. Lead guitarist DR Brian May was the reason I picked up an electric guitar, not that I will ever hold a candle to Brian. That homemade Red Special produces a unique iconic sound. Queen's live performances are amazing! RIP Freddie LONG LIVE QUEEN!!!
Indeed you are correct. Queen did help inspire Lady Gaga. She's a massive fan of theirs, so much so she's often moved to tears when speaking about her admiration for Freddie and the guys.
Great reaction! Yes, Lady Gaga's stage nane was inpsired by the song, which itself was inspired by the drummer Rodger Taylor's toddler who once uttered the phrase "Radio Caca!" (which apparently is actually interchanged with "Gaga" at some point in the studio version). Since you enjoy the live performances I would recommend "White Queen" live at Hammersmith Odeon 1974, "Who wants to live forever" live at Wembley 1986, among many others
Isn't it great to look back & see no Bloody mobile phones at one of the greatest performances of all time, Freddy a true showman had them in the palm of his hand, a time when people watched the artist performed
Read the bios online & watch some of their interviews. Its informative to hear Freddie speak & see his sense of humor. Very self deprecating & modest, as when he corrects an interviewer who calls him the leader of the band. Freddie says ' I'm not the leader. I'm the lead singer. I'm not a general. We're 4 equal people. "
Freddie was the man!! Queen had the best set of musicians you'll ever see assembled on the same stage. Add those together what do you get. You get the best band there ever was.
Oh my goodness, I've said before I was VERY fortunate to see Queen live, and like I said before Freedie was our puppet master, and as you can see the puppets followed him all the way. My memories for life. Thank you Queen. And thank you Dani, your bringing a whole new generation to Queen...R.I.P. Freddie gone but not forgotten.
This song originally was released in the early ‘80’s and was a top 20 hit for Queen. This concert was from Live Aid in 1985 in London at Wembley Stadium where over 100K were in attendance. Queen always put on a great show…
You have to see the whole set. Live Aid gave every act 20 minute sets. Queen blew everyone away. This was recently voted the best live performance ever. Please do the whole set! It's incredible!
A really good review, my friend from school introduced me to them along with ELO. Those two bands are my Favourites . I also like the Carpenters. Each are very different but all three are ones that take their craft to the limit and unite people.
Dani, Happy Birthday to Gigi! I'm going to echo some of the other comments that you should definitely check out Queen's entire performance at Live Aid. It's about 20 minutes long, but worth every minute. Pretty much every other act that performed that day said Queen stole the show. One of the all-time great live performances.
You really need to react to Queen the whole 1985 full concert it’s only 20 minutes long it will blow you away I was there it’s the best experience ever
Other artists have said of Queen is the past that they are well named, because their lyrics are very intelligent and so is the way they piece together their work on the different instruments but Freddie is by far the star. Their performance is so majestic.
Hey Dani, Uncle J-Man here. You know I love Queen. The crowds that come out for them, they were so loyal and in love with Freddy and Queen. Freddy was special to watch and listen to. I guess were lucky that Lady Gaga took Gaga and not Gugu. Lady Gugu just don’t do it. Again your right on point with the reaction. Your musical spidey sensors never fail you. See you at dinner tonight. We’re going to Stefanos for Ginas birthday and they have the best Calamari. I think we’re gonna need to family portions tonight. I’m already hungry. See you guys later ❤️❤️❤️
I have to agree with everyone who is telling you to watch the entire 20 minute Live Aid set. It is considered to be one of the greatest live performances of all time.
Oh no! Please do the entire Live Aid set. Yes it’s 20 minutes but you’ll wish it wouldn’t end! You’ll see why it’s considered the best performance of the whole event
I will never forget seeing them live here in Kansas City! Love of my Life is another great Queen song performed by Freddie is often overlooked, but shows his great vocal range that no one will ever be able to recreate
The anthemic feel comes from Freddie, credit to him 100%, because hes singing with authority, aplomb and he emphasizes the words, he does it even to the more mellow songs. A good comparison to make is Radio Ga Ga performed live by Queen+Adam Lambert, a very different style of delivering the lines.
Dani. like many of the other commenters have strongly recommended, you should watch and react to Queen's entire 20 minute performance from 1985's Live Aid Concert. They were incredible and absolutely stole the show. You will love it.
I third the entire Live Aid performance. life-changing performances. Hard to believe Freddie died in 1991, as everyone said, until the day he died he was full of beans.
Happy birthday to your sister!! Loved the reaction. I thought Freddie was advised by his doctor not to perform, due to throat issues-nodules? That what makes it more amazing for me personally. I suggest Fat bottemed girls live at the Bowl. 🔥 Much bless
Oh you need to watch the entire thing ...it gets better....Something that occurred to me after you mentioned it , Every motion Freddie made was so ...Royal , I don't know how else to say it . His motions , the way he would move or motion his arms , etc... were all so theatrically well thought out , He commanded respect and gained control of the audience from the moment he stepped on the stage, and maintained it , seemingly effortlessly the entire show..My God they just don't make em like that anymore .
You should also listen/watch the studio Bohemian Rapacity tune. Although live is amazing it will show you the great art of good musical production, it’s a rock opera.
HI Dani! (I have a cousin named Dani)... I'm SO HAPPY to see you joining the "Queen Train"! Anyone who reacts to Queen/Freddie Mercury gets an automatic Subscribe from me. As I know everyone else is saying, you really NEED to react to the entire Queen Live Aid set in-one-go; it's about 20 minutes long. (Reactors always say "Gosh, 20 minutes will be so LONG, tho!" THEN later they say "GOSH, that went SO FAST, it didn't feel like 20 minutes!") Because the energy of the performance BUILDS from the first song to the last. ALSO, I saw that you reacted to Angelina Jordan's cover of Bohemian Rhapsody (I LOVE Angelina, BTW, she's amazing.) You really NEED to go back and react to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, TOO! (Did you know that Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody has been voted the Best/Most Important Song in Rock Music History?) An EXCELLENT rule-of-thumb with Queen/Freddie Mercury is: When in doubt, go with a LIVE performance over the studio version of a song (unless you want to do both). Queen may be the ONLY band to boast that their live performances are always BETTER than the studio because they had a philosophy that the live performances should be a whole "experience"; they worked harder than any other band, I think to bring that to their fans when they were onstage and Freddie always fed off the energy of interacting with the fans in-person. (Which is why Freddie has been voted the Best Front Man In History). BTW, Queen is the only music group to have the distinction that ALL of the band's members is individually inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame as a song writer, for writing a hit song. AND, recently, guitarist Brian May was voted the Best Guitarist In Rock Music History (narrowly beating out Jimi Hendrix, who came in at No. 2)
THE Name of Lady Gaga came from this song :) great reaction do more :) btw you already listened the song that i said to you? where Freddie sings opera?
Happy b-day to Gina! Great reaction you should watch the whole Live Aid it was not really even a Queen crowd but Freddie could perform! A great song and great performance is Who Wants To Live Forever live at Budapest 1986 th-cam.com/video/Czwe5Yi42mQ/w-d-xo.html.
you know what's mind boggling? Freddie Mercury had a throat infection on this one and was advised by his doctor to not perform but f*ck yeah, he's Freddie Mercury!
As someone who sang with a cyst on her vocal cords -- did a full tour, recorded an EP -- I can completely understand the magnitude of that. It is not an easy feat -- I finally got surgery last summer -- it was the hardest thing to go through as a singer, thankfully I came out of it strong!
Have a look at Elvis' "don't leave me now' from Jailhouse Rock, I think you may have watched the film by now. I love you checking out the Elvis songs especially his younger years stuff. Oh and by the way you are such a cutie, so pretty, a pleasure to watch and listen too. All the very best from the UK, Del :) x
The ultimate showman, Freddy had so much more to give, and it's so sad he was taken from us so many years too early.
Queens live performances are iconic. They are true rock legends. And as far as Freddie there are not enough words in the English language to describe how great Freddie was.
R.I.P FREDDIE WE MISS YOU
WE HEAR YOU SINGING FROM HEAVEN
You should watch the entire queen live aid performance. It's around 20 mins long you will love it!!
I've got the DVD set of the whole concert
Yeah
Just hang around when the set finishes for "Is this the World We've Created?" by Freddie and Brian. A small piece of genius.
Agree. This is only a sample of the performance. You should watch the Queens full Live Aid performance. Highly recommend it.
Happy birthday to you Gigi 🎉🎈 love and happiness

agreed but U2's performance was awesome also
Live Queen is the best , perfect machine made from four pieces everytime, so much energy👑
Queen is a rare rock band that sounds better live than on record. It's amazing!
It’s unreal!
Happy birthday to your sister and yes queen was great
Always fun watching someone see this for the first time. They’re just not ready.
Happy Birthday gigi you beautiful soul!!!
You needed to watch for 60 more seconds and you woulda seen Freddie control that crowd with them singing back to him..
I was so disappointed she didn't watch Freddy "play" the crowd.
@@sherrybrown5295 Some versions cut that part. Bummer.
NO ONE worked a crowd like Freddie Mercury!!! Legend!
Happy birthday Gigi !!!
Highly recommend that you watch the rest of this 22 minute set... it really does provide an exquisite sample of Queen their talent, musicianship and the showmanship of the legend that was Freddie Mercury (b 05 Sep 1946) . was an amazing event - I remember tuning into this on TV as a 16 year old lad. Queen rocked it out of Wembley. Vale Freddy, forever remembered.
Freddie Mercury could charm a crowd like nobody else could.
He could have them eating out of his hand, such was his command of the them.
Almost all their songs sound like anthems. It’s remarkable.
Enjoy your Queen journey! Wish I could discover them all over again
Freddie was the man!!
Queen had the best set of musicians you'll ever see assembled on the same stage.
Add those together what do you get. You get the best band there ever was.
Happy birthday GiGi! Enjoy the great Queen music your sister is presenting!

Queen stole the show that day. David Bowie shouted at them "You Bastards!" when they got off stage because he had to follow them
Happy Birthday GIGI and I hope you have a wonderful day with family and friends !!
It only went for about 30 minutes, but it is definately the greatest concert of all time
Hi Gina.....and the bestest birthday wishes EVER for you today!! :)

Having seen it live on TV it was a spectacular event. They stole the Live Aid show....that was beyond a huge event.
Just so you realize what a gift he was to the world musically.... he was sick during this concert with a sore throat.
Happy Birthday to your sister 🥳
Freddie was in command of the crowd alot of the performers said Freddie & queen stole the show
Lol never to old to learn new things. 😎 the catalog is vast.
It's never too late for Queen
I was in hi school when they came along, instantly hooked .
Happy birthday, Gigi!
Enjoy the video that one of there songs they don't play much on the radio any more and there's a lot other's as well
I will never forget seeing them live here in Kansas City! Love of my Life is another great Queen song performed by Freddie is often overlooked, but shows his great vocal range that no one will ever be able to recreate

Queen was the only band that had the volume turned up louder than the rest of the bands !!
If you get a chance, another performance from Live Aid is "Bad" by U2. Trust me, you will love it.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎉
I think you could probably say that there's Queen and then there's the rest of the bands and artists. They are in a League of their own.

You should react to It’s a Kind of Magic live at Wembley Stadium.
For an amazing example of his vocal range and talent, see: Queen - Impromptu Wembley First Night. I watch it quite often
happy b'day gina.
I'm late, but Happy Birthday Gigi!
As a long fan of QUEEN please honor the entire band.
Adam Lambert, Chicago, 2019.....Took my daughter to see Queen......Check that out,. Great concert.

steely dan is another gem waiting to be discovered. hint hint.
MORE QUEEN... Too Much Love Will Kill You, live performance in Budapest of Who Wants to Live Forever
You have yet to dive into their ballads, all 4 members were incredible composers on top of their other talents.
you know what's mind boggling? Freddie Mercury had a throat infection on this one and was advised by his doctor to not perform but f*ck yeah, he's Freddie Mercury!

You need to review the entire Live Aid performance...critics consider it to be the best live rock performance in history.
I’ve had multiple requests for this! Will do!
As many as 1.9 billion people were watching that live...
Watch the entire Queen set - best 22 -25 minutes you's spend - remember that he had also been diagnosed with AIDS and was told not to sing at Live Aid
