Nice reaction. This was special, it was Momometal's first concert as an official member. She was revealed as the third member at the end of the concert the night before, so the moment Su called her and Moametal across was the first time she was called by name on stage.🦊 BABYMETAL have been touring the world every year (when they could) since 2014 ... but they've not gone to NZ yet. They have been to Australia a couple of times.
Nice reaction. I now recommend reacting to BABYMETAL - Ijime,Dame,Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014,UK (OFFICIAL), which is the performance that legitimized BABYMETAL worldwide.
◼ 🤍 🖤 ◻ Su-metal has been the lead singer since BABYMETAL began in 2010. They other members provide back up vocals. There have been a few occasions where one of the other members has taken the lead, like performances of 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!' that celebrated one of their 15th or 20th birtdays. Moa (still with the group) and Yui (who left in 2018 for health reasons) used to perform four songs without Su as "Black BABYMETAL". Moa has performed some of those songs as a solo. BABYMETAL have never performed in New Zealand, but they did appear at the Good Things Festival in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in late 2018. They came back in 2023 for headlining shows at the same three cities.
Great reaction again! "Monochrome" is a beautiful song, in every version. There are more 😉 Yes, they tour the world, I was lucky to see them in 2023 in Cologne, Germany (they come to Cologne regularly, since 2014 😉). I experienced "Monochrome" live in person, it was phenomenal! As jakemuller already told you, they visit South America for the first time this year. Especially the Brazilians begged them constantly, since 10 or more years, to come to Brazil. Their wish will be granted, finally! BABYMETAL even do a headliner concert in Lima, Peru! Only continents left without BABYMETAL concerts are Africa and Antarctica. I wouldn´t wonder if they visit these one day, too. Su-Metal said in the past, that she would like to conquer the world... 😉 Funny that you mentioned "The Other Two", as this song is from their album tiled "The Other One" 🤣 Moametal and Momometal usually do backing vocals and harmonies only, but they did sing the second half of "Headbangeeeeerrrrrr!!!!!" at their special birthday concerts. These concerts were titled "Legend M" (Moametal) and "Legend MM" (Momometal). Fans changed the song title accordingly into "Moabanger" and "Momobanger". You´ll find those on the "For The Fox God" channel, if you like to react to them. Both performances are great, no, awesome! How about a double reaction? 😉 Momometal has a special part in the song "Metali!". You probably wouldn´t recognize her talking with that voice, but it is her. In the LIVE version she does a growl afterwards (her first growl ever. Most probably prerecorded, but it is her voice. I was SO surprised by it!). This is another recommendation 😉
This is in Yokohama, but yes, Babymetal travels a lot. They're about to travel to their fifth continent this year: South America which they hadn't visited before. They usually do tours all over North America, Europe, parts of Asia. They went to Australia but not New Zealand yet.
This song ends up being loved by a lot of people, especially this performance . The way Su calls Moa and MoMo in and hums the song . Special moment as this was Momokos' first full show as MoMo Metal. It was announced the night before she was an official member of BabyMetal at the end of the show . The magic number was back ❤❤❤ Experienced this live 3 times never gets samey it just feels great 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Great reaction! This is an absolutely stunning performance and a favorite of many fans. Here are a few tidbits to help with your Babymetal journey: *Concert Name:* Babymetal Begins - The Other One. 2-day show in Apr 2023. *Venue:* Pia Arena MM, in Japan, ~10K fans. *Significance and Context:* Original 3rd founding member Yuimetal officially left in Oct 2018 due to health. Afterward, Babymetal was formally just Su & Moa. They had several temporary backup dancers, and then in 2019, three backup dancers (no mics) called "The Avengers" rotated into the 3rd spot. One of them is Momoko. Due to Covid-19's after-effects and later Babymetal's hiatus, they've had a bit of a rocky few years. Upon their return from hiatus in late 2022, Babymetal announced the release of their 4th album "The Other One", and resumed live shows actively. Su & Moa has also decided the put an end to the chaos to restart strong, which meant the death of the old Babymetal and the birth of the new Babymetal. This culminated with Momoko being announced as the official 3rd member, becoming Momometal at the end of the 1st day of this concert (Apr 1st, 2023). This Monochrome performance was on the 2nd day, now with Momometal as the official 3rd member, with a mic, new and updated outfits, and a new logo. After this concert, Babymetal hit 2023 hard, with almost 100 shows across Asia, Australia, EU, US, and EU again in a span of ~200 days. Hope that helps! *Other suggestions, if you love Monochrome:* *_Syncopation (Legend MM 2024):_* Melodic, but heavy and fast-paced, with amazing guitars and of course, Su's stunning vocals. Amazing song all around. The show Legend MM was Mar 2024, for Momometal's 21st birthday. *_Brand New Day (Fox Fest 2024):_* Very chill and vibey, features Tim Henson and Scottie LePage, guitarist from the US band Polyphia. You can find these on the "For The Fox God" channel, in HD, with subtitles. 🤘🦊
Been to two BABYMETAL concerts: Austin, Texas in 2017 and Nashville, Tennessee in 2023....HAD A BLAST! Great stuff! I've been a BABYMETAL Kitsune/ Child of Inari for around 12~ years or so now. I survived the GWoT thanks to these girls. As they grow, we grow. All their songs have interesting intros. You have no idea how much this band means to me!! I love the Kami Band, as well.
Monochrome is my favorite song of theirs. I would suggest Karate, Live at Legend MM 2024, which has the same composer. Legend MM were the concerts to celebrate Momo's birthday after she join the group.
Great to see you enjoy this so much :) They haven't played in NZ yet but they visit Australia sometimes, hope you get to see them live at some point! It's so worth it!
Moametal and Momometal do a lot of things, interact with the audience and catch stuffed dolls that fly to the stage, pass flags or microphones to Su-metal, perform some little games during breakdown...etc. But they also have their own songs. Thanks for your great reaction.
Good one, thanks! To see a spectacle like this, you need to go to Japan. But they also tour worldwide and have performed in Australia a few times. I admit that the tone of these guitars and bass still surprises me today after having watched and listened to this performance an unhealthy number of times. And since I like small details (because of what I just mentioned), there is a moment during the humming / lights / group hug scene when Su-metal searches for the edge of the stage. That's called being a freaking pro. 🤘🦊
Nice reaction. I think you might have been bit by Babymetal. All the signs are there. This is a wonderful performance and a very poignant one in this was the first night Momo performed as Momometal. You can see the happiness in all the ladies faces. Great job!
This was at Babymetal Begins: The Other One - Black Night & Clear Night, which was held at PIA Arena MM in Yokohama on the 1st and 2nd of April 2023. This was the show where Momometal officially joined the group. It was announced at the end of Black Night (Night 1), that Momo would be the new "scream and dance" member, then on Clear Night (Night 2) was the first show with Momo as an official member with a microphone, and all wearing the new outfits. I was at this show so I got to see it live and it was absolutely magical. I've been to a number of Babymetal shows, and this is still my favourite. Babymetal toured Australia in June last year, playing in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. I live in Melbourne, so I went to all three shows. They only do these kinds of massive arena spectaculars in Japan. When they go on tour the show is more simplified to make it more portable; the tour shows are great fun since you get to see them in a smaller setting and they goof around more, but the big shows in Japan just hit different. I've been to Japan four times to see them in concert and they never disappoint. Babymetal was created around Su-metal's voice and stage presence, everything else is built around her talent. Babymetal's backing band are called the Kami Band. The lineup for this show was Chris Kelly (guitar), CJ Masciantonio (guitar), Clint Tustin (bass), and Anthony Barone (drums).
👍👍 Moa and Momo are vocal talents in their own right. Moabanger LIVE (Moa takes lead vocals for Headbanger on her 20th birthday) HQ Pro Shot Momobanger LIVE at Legend MM Concert 2024 (Momoko takes lead vocals for Headbanger on her 20th birthday) HQ Pro Shot Moa solo Performance of Onedari Daisakusen LIVE at Budokan 2021.
Babymetal does concerts around the world but you will never experience this without going to Japan. I realized my dream to see them in Japan for Legend MM. I will certainly be back! And I recommend you do the same.
Great reaction to an even greater song. You are from the Shakey Iles? You will no doubt get to see Babymetal in Australia sometime, perhaps their next world tour. I saw them in Brisbane in June 2023, but they also played in Sydney and Melbourne on that tour (keep an eye out for their support band on the Australian leg of their tour [RELIQA], as they were really good as well, I was impressed by them). The concerts outside of Japan aren't like their big Japanese events, they are much more scaled down and less "showy", however, Babymetal holds nothing back in their performances for their smaller shows. They still have the same interludes, they make appropriate stage entrances for each song, and they have the kamishibai (the pictorial video stories) before important songs or when there is lore involved in the performance of the song. Whilst I would love to see a big Babymetal show in Japan, I actually think I would prefer to see them in a smaller venue. At Brisbane, there was about 3,500 punters there and I was on a balcony overlooking the stage. I would have been no more than 20-25 feet from the stage, I had an unimpeded view of the whole band and the three girls of Babymetal. I was so close, I could see the small beads of sweat working their way through the makeup the girls were wearing. More importantly, I was super impressed with the performance of the band and vocally, Su only missed one or two notes for the whole night, she was a little pitchy early in Megitsune, but that was the only blemish. Flar3z, if you ever get to see them, do it, I promise it will be a show you will remember forever.
If you want to hear Moa and Momo's voices a little more, you can listen to iine they did at this same concert I believe. im sure you can find it by searching for babymetal iine 2023. It is not line by the way. there are two i's.
