Congratulations Andras, I bought and devoured your work on the principles of the center, the best I have seen in clarity and importance in chess, note: 10/10. Your videos are sensational because you manage to explain clearly, for different levels. Thanks for sharing these videos on youtube. I recommend in your next work that the videos have a reasonable price as was this course. I look forward to your next job soon and don't be so humble, J. Aagaard is very good, but you are clearer ... Greetings from Chile.
Thanks Alejandro, appreciate the kind words and the support. Pricing is a tricky matter as it is greatly defined by length of course but hope to keep it reasonable. CPR 2 is massively underway, I will keep the community posted about its future release. Thanks for the support again, amazing to know i have followers in Chile!
Cool stuff, I'll give this a go. I currently go for the 2... Nf6 line where I know a little bit of theory - learned it also because it's easy to decline the Morra into that, shame on me -, but I never quite understood Black's plans in that line.
fantastic stuff. I know you're principally an e4 guy but I'd love to see you take a look at some d4 stuff, especially some of the tricky hypermodern stuff in the indian defense family (QID, grunfeld, KID, nimzo, something like that)
Great Job Sir! I saw many videos for Alapin. I didn't like Gotham Chess because he focuses on move orders rather than focusing on ideas plans. I found your channel to be a great one! for studying openings. Thanks ☺️
thanks once again :) I personally love to play the IQP against the alapin and white usually goes for it, so I don't even think much about this variation :D One might mention that I had a couple of people play 1. e4 c5 2. c3 d5 3. e5!?, which after Bf5 you very likely transpose into a french-type structure with the "bad bishop" outside the pawn chain. Nc6 is another move here. Maybe a lower-rated blitz thing?I don't know
repertoire-wise, what do you recommend against the delayed alapin? 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. c3? do you lose a tempo with d5 anyway or go for Nf6? how does it differ from the 2. c3 line?
It seems to me like if you're a 2. d6 player, you should play the nf6 line since it works just as well in the 3. c3 lines and if you're a 2. nc6 player you should play 2. d5 since you could transpose into the same line in the delayed alapin
Technically if you buy it without the video, it is an interactive e-book. That said, along with most reviews, I would highly recommend to buy it with video!
Thanks again. I love the way you get to the point and also make what is 'hidden' to players like me visible. I find that videos like this help me direct my own stufy. Do you have any time for the black pawn sac? I have been trying 1.e4 c5 2.c3 d5 3.ed Nf6.
Hello Andras great video! i've dreaded the alapin for a long time, but hopefully i will do better next time i face it. I don't quite understand why you default square for the queen is d6 as it blocks our own bishop. In my mind it would be better placed on d8, but i'm sure your idea is better, i just don't like playing moves i don't understand. Is the idea to potentially fianchetto the bishop on f8?
Thank you or saying "they announce". You are the ONLY presenter I have seen so far on TH-cam that doesn't use "he" for a generic chess player! Also, nice concepts after d5
This is great! I'm putting in a vote for the Rossolimo!

Outstanding presentation of ideas for black in Alapin. Quick, short and to the point. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for helping me on my Sicilian journey
Good day to you sire
My absolute pleasure! Have a good one!

Now that I have covered the morra for you, you can easily swap. That said, nothing wrong with Nf6 either!
Best opening video I have seen in a while!
Thank you for your work and effort!
my pleasure!

I am only biased towards e4 because I know it better, but I value d4 just as highly! Will definitely cover some stuff later!

Thanks and welcome onboard!

yea, I omitted early e5 pushes as they allow black very problem free equality, as per described by you!
Not a sicilian person myself, but always great to watch the concepts. Thank you!
Hopefully later will cover openings that interest you more. Thanks for the nice words!
THANK YOU for making this video
My pleasure sire!
Phenomenal! I can finally tackle this annoying opening! Thanks!
Just what I needed here. Thanks very much
Great stuff! Thank you!
3:00 what about 6. Nbd2 with the idea of Bc4?

After the correct nf6 ( definitely not delayed d5) white does not have e4-e5 which is why it’s not really good.

Great video!
Your course on the centre is only available for chessable?? or we can buy book also?

Well explained plan against the Alapin Andras . Thanks. The Delayed Alapin seems popular atm. How best to deal with this please?
beautiful video, thank you. Have you looked into g6 against the Alapin instead of d5? What are your thoughts on it?
