Absolutely loled at that first edgy name but I know how he meant it. MCRT is definitely part of the new era of raves/ hard dance. His approach is unique - he's that guy that don't give a fuck but he gives. The irony / satire he brings or cute aspect like that Horse track etc or funny track vids where he makes fun of the fact that people are sometimes being too serious about meaningless things, meanwhile keeping the tracks groovy and pro. It's just something different and that's why I respect this. Hes being himself

really nice and interesting podcast but Playful mag - please get an audio editor! the volume differences and pops while speaking are crazy annoying and the interviewer sounds way lower in volume. put some compression and limiting on the voices.

y’all forgot one important thing. there’s no way to become a ghettotech artist anymore. either u r one or none. that era is over. u can only play ghetto… but never become ghetto

how is music not politic when you name yourself NZI? I don't agree with many things he says like fuck safe spaces. Everything is political in this world, he says himself that he is angry about things and expresses them thru lyrics. House and techno were born as safe spaces for Black LGBTQ communities. I agree with his point that many DJs are the same and look the same and we need more creative stuff. But this has nothing to do with politics.

He, and many other artists mean it in the sense of mocking the harshness of those words. Think Mel Brooks making 'Springtime for Hitler', or Armando Iannucci directing the film Death of Stalin. They showcase the symbols, the ideals, and sometimes actuality of what those people were like, but they make them a farce through mockery and taking the power.
To name yourself MC-NZI is mean to give a middle-finger to those that may think you are down with that bullshit in 2020. I have friends and family who would sticky their anti-skinhead tracks onto hidden NEOGAF literal skinhead forums just to piss them off, but then talk to those assholes to learn more ways to make fun of them. Denying their hate the power is to triumph over them.
