What a shame that Natan didn't win. He clearly has the most unique voice. Erlend is great, and I'm not taking anything away from his talent....it's just that in the world of country music, his voice is actually quite common, especially in America where the music originated. But Natan's voice is so special....it has a "teardrop" in it that evokes a tinge of sadness and emotion. I really hope despite not winning that he gets signed to a label.
Natan was one of my favorites, the other one; Maria Petra. His voice is so special, as you mention; Erlend has a good voice, but is far more common ground. But I sure hope they (Natan and Maria Petra) get labeled. ❤️👍🏻

I mean, is it? This is a really really really hard song to perform well. The range requirements on it are brutal. Hardly anyone can do it…. Which is sort of the defining feature of cliche, no?

Unfortunately, my two favorites; Natan didn't make it to the superfinal, Maria Petra lost for Erlend. I feel it had to do with choice of songs/preferences amongst the voters. Erlend, has a great voice and made a great choice of song. "Both sides now" (Joni Mitchell). So beautiful interpretation. So congrats, Erlend, winner of 2021 The Voice Norway. Actually, I think all the finalists are winners. A great step career-wise for all of them. Just listen to Maria Petra's song Lonely, written and composed by the magnificent young woman herself.
