My dad's funeral was today and I had this song played at his service.. he introduced me to Eminem's music at a young age, and his music was one of the many things we bonded over. My dad loved his daughters just like Eminem loved his.. I will forever love this song and it will forever feel like my dad is speaking to me through the lyrics of the songs.. Rest In paradise, dad I love and miss you so much💔
I don't have a history of parental divorce or anything similar, but this song still manages to get to my chest because of what I've been through these last 18 months. My mother fell ill with cancer and this Sunday she passed away, but in the 18 months that we have lived, my father has been the one who has given me comfort through the process. My mom was a great mom and it's not her fault she got sick, and my dad was always there for me. I guess that's what the songs are for: everyone interprets them and feels them in different ways.
It's only the gen z kids who want to cancel him because they have been brainwashed into thinking that free speech is bad. They don't realize that cancel culture and the death of free speech will only usher in the birth of oppression and tyranny.
im happy eminem because it reminds me of the stuff my parents used to tell me when i was younger because i was adopted i didnt get to see my parents or my sibilings and this song fills me with joy and memories
My Dad listened to Eminem before and after I was born. He still does today, but when I was about six or seven my parents split up. My Mum found out he was " Cheating " With my babysitter when it was really all a lie. But every night after my Dad left I used to listen to this song. I cried to it every night because I just wanted my Dad back. My parents have gotten back together and everything is fine now but every night I listen to this song. Eminem has become my coping mechanism and I hope I one day get to meet him.
This reminds me of my dad who is currently in jail.I was gonna see him in 24 months but they reduced it to only 14 what a blessing.3 years away from my dad i miss him like hell.
@@ILY_Allah its ok I am learning to cope with it. I see my mom every weekend and because I havent had a dad in forever I kinda dont remember I have one sometimes. Its kinda weird but idk
My sister used to play this song for me as a child and tell me it was “her song to me” rlly hits when ur all grown up fr Some lines in this song really hit hard as my dad was present but never around and my mother was neglectful and eventually lost me completely due to her addiction. It’s just wild looking back at this song and actually seeing how real it was to the actual situation and how mature my sister had to be at such a young age to have to be there for me. There’s real pain in this song and tons of people can feel it, to anyone else dealing with your own or someone else’s addiction you’re not alone.
This song was so beautiful and it is currently one of my favourites. Most of the songs I know are really repetitive but this one was so good and I love it. Even the little "Hehehe" at the end was nice
As someone who's had a pretty rough child hood this song hit home I'm used to Eminem songs being fast beat and upbeat. But this. This surprised me and i love it. Love ya Eminem
The chorus reminds me a lot of my past. "Now hush little baby don't you cry" -I had to move to my dad's because my mother was alcoholic, the first week I was there I cried myself to sleep. I had moved away from everything I loved. "Everything's gonna be alright" -My dad always said this to me, even if he was arguing badly with my step mom. "Stiffen that upper lip up, little lady" -I'd try keep calm throughout it all and laugh it off. "I told ya, daddy's here to hold ya through the night" -I'd run into my dad's arms crying a lot. "I know mommy's not here right now and we don't know why" -When I lived with her, she'd be out until times like 1am and always come home super drunk. "We fear how we feel inside" -I have anxiety, and I just hated the feeling I got around her. "It may seem a little crazy, pretty baby, but I promise, mommas gon be alright" -My mom has this mental health issue, and it makes her snap and act horribly violent. I was dragged out of the house and took to my nanas at 6am once because of her. I don't know why you even bothered to read this, really, and I apologise for venting.
You don't need to apologize. Everyone has a right to express their sadness. I'm so sorry that happened. I can't tell you i know hos it feels, because i don't. All i can say is that it's shitty that happened to you
I'm so sorry all of this happened. It really is such a terrible thing to happen to children so young. My difficulties are nothing compared to what you had to go through, but I know for a fact that all of that hurt. I'm so proud of you for staying strong. Don't give up, I believe in you 🤍
Eminem❤️🔥 I'm so glad he had the confidence to sing this, I can hear the pain in his voice that breaks my heart ❤, Eminem is a great father, I'm proud of him🎉
His story was the rawest because he was so open to tell the world his struggle .. I will always love Eminem his pain was felt !! He said 8 mile was literally everything he had to deal with 😞 but he is an amazing dad till this day
Everytime when i listen to this song i use to cry, i'm a unknown child i don't know about my true parents, i was raised by a unknown family! They treat me well.... But sometimes i really needed to see my own mom's dad's face once for one last time 😢 this song last forever ❤
I’m 9 years old and i know eminem because i have lots of inappropriate swearing teenagers that talk about gangsters and i play a game about it , i know drugs, weed. I WOULD NEVER DO THOSE STUFF! and i’m 9 and i know thease are NOT WORDS.
Lyrics : Yeah I know sometimes things may not always make sense to you right now But hey, what daddy always tell you? Straighten up little soldier Stiffen up that upper lip What you crying about? You got me Hailie, I know you miss your mom, and I know you miss your dad When I'm gone, but I'm trying to give you the life that I never had I can see you're sad, even when you smile, even when you laugh I can see it in your eyes, deep inside you want to cry 'Cause you're scared, I ain't there, daddy's with you in your prayers No more crying, wipe them tears, daddy's here, no more nightmares We gon' pull together through it, we gon' do it Laney uncle's crazy, ain't he? Yeah, but he loves you girl and you better know it We're all we got in this world, when it spins, when it swirls When it whirls, when it twirls, two little beautiful girls Lookin' puzzled, in a daze, I know it's confusing you Daddy's always on the move, mamma's always on the news I try to keep you sheltered from it, but somehow it seems The harder that I try to do that, the more it backfires on me All the things growing up, his daddy, daddy had to see Daddy don't want you to see, but you see just as much as he did We did not plan it to be this way, your mother and me But things have gotten so bad between us, I don't see us ever being together Ever again like we used to be when we was teenagers But then of course everything always happens for a reason I guess it was never meant to be But it's just something we have no control, over and that's what destiny is But no more worries, rest your head and go to sleep Maybe one day we'll wake up, and this will all just be a dream Now hush little baby, don't you cry Everything's gonna be alright Stiffen that upper-lip up, little lady, I told ya Daddy's here to hold ya through the night I know mommy's not here right now, and we don't know why We fear how we feel inside It may seem a little crazy, pretty baby But I promise momma's gon' be alright Huh, it's funny I remember back one year when daddy had no money Mommy wrapped the Christmas presents up and stuck 'em under the tree And said, "Some of 'em were from me, 'cause Daddy couldn't buy 'em" I'll never forget that Christmas, I sat up the whole night crying 'Cause daddy felt like a bum See daddy had a job But his job was to keep the food on the table for you and mom And at the time every house that we lived in Either kept getting broke into and robbed Or shot up on the block And your Mom was saving money for you in a jar Tryna start a piggy bank for you, so you could go to college Almost had a thousand dollars 'til someone broke in and stole it And I know it hurt so bad, it broke your momma's heart And it seemed like everything was just startin' to fall apart Mom and dad was arguin' a lot, so momma moved back On the Chalmers in the flat one-bedroom apartment And dad moved back to the other side of 8 Mile on Novara And that's when daddy went to California with his C.D And met Dr. Dre, and flew you and momma out to see me But daddy had to work, you and momma had to leave me Then you started seeing daddy on the T.V And momma didn't like it, and you and Laney were to young to understand it Papa was a rollin' stone, momma developed a habit And it all happened too fast for either one of us to grab it I'm just sorry you were there and had to witness it first hand 'Cause all I ever wanted to do was just make you proud Now I'm sittin' in this empty house Just reminiscing, lookin' at your baby pictures It just trips me out To see how much you both have grown It's almost like you're sisters now Wow, guess you pretty much are, and daddy's still here Laney, I'm talkin' to you too, daddy's still here I like the sound of that, yeah, It's got a ring to it, don't it? Shh, momma's only gone for the moment Now hush little baby, don't you cry Everything's gonna be alright Stiffen that upper-lip up, little lady, I told ya Daddy's here to hold ya through the night I know mommy's not here right now, and we don't know why We fear how we feel inside It may seem a little crazy, pretty baby But I promise, momma's gon' be alright And if you ask me too Daddy's gonna buy you a Mockingbird I'ma give you the world I'ma buy a diamond ring for you, I'ma sing for you I'll do anything for you to see you smile And if that Mockingbird don't sing, and that ring don't shine I'ma break that birdies neck I'd go back to the jeweler who sold it to ya And make him eat every karat, don't fuck with dad (haha)
This made me burst out in tears when I first heard it..My mom always sang this to me and it made me so happy, but now, she's gone..she passed away in 2018, and I still can't get over it..
im so sorry that happened to you.. and dont worry i bet ur mom is looking at you from above, always proud that their baby has grown to be such a strong, sweet, beautiful human being i love you

Come from 2109 hell yeah! 😂🎉
Am from 2100
I'm here from 3069, Hi!
Your father
This is an apology song to his daughters and it's just so sweet
When I’m gone was the same way
My dad's funeral was today and I had this song played at his service.. he introduced me to Eminem's music at a young age, and his music was one of the many things we bonded over. My dad loved his daughters just like Eminem loved his.. I will forever love this song and it will forever feel like my dad is speaking to me through the lyrics of the songs.. Rest In paradise, dad I love and miss you so much💔
Sorry for your loss
I‘m so sorry for your loss! Rest in Peace
Rest in peace to your dad I'm so sorry for your loss hope your doing okay and your dad is okay in paradise ❤
Sorry for your loss :( may he rest in peace
im sorry for your lost
"we fear how we feel inside", felt that hard.
May her soul rest in peace ❤
@@donikamustafi3837 I appreciate it a lot, thank you ‹3

12 years ago? We are getting old my friends.. I will never get tired of listening to eminems songs.
More than 12 actually
19 years old
My Dad listened to Eminem before and after I was born.
Damn sorry to hear that
Mt dad left when I was 1

My sister used to play this song for me as a child and tell me it was “her song to me” rlly hits when ur all grown up fr
Some lines in this song really hit hard as my dad was present but never around and my mother was neglectful and eventually lost me completely due to her addiction.
It's crazy how all this actually happened, and he found a way to put it into a song. Written so well and makes so much sense. Chills ong
And how he is an amazing father to Hailey and Lainey. What an amazing man
If this dosen't make you cry, I don't know what can

This song is so from the heart and it’s probably the best song he’s ever made
It is one of the best songs he made
Didn't think I'd see you here
As someone who's had a pretty rough child hood this song hit home I'm used to Eminem songs being fast beat and upbeat. But this. This surprised me and i love it. Love ya Eminem

I was here in 2007 and still know this song
@Thaddeus Arnall dang that's sad but this song is very VERY good!
The chorus reminds me a lot of my past.
"Now hush little baby don't you cry"
-I had to move to my dad's because my mother was alcoholic, the first week I was there I cried myself to sleep. I had moved away from everything I loved.
"Everything's gonna be alright"
-My dad always said this to me, even if he was arguing badly with my step mom.
"Stiffen that upper lip up, little lady"
-I'd try keep calm throughout it all and laugh it off.
"I told ya, daddy's here to hold ya through the night"
-I'd run into my dad's arms crying a lot.
"I know mommy's not here right now and we don't know why"
-When I lived with her, she'd be out until times like 1am and always come home super drunk.
"We fear how we feel inside"
-I have anxiety, and I just hated the feeling I got around her.
"It may seem a little crazy, pretty baby, but I promise, mommas gon be alright"
-My mom has this mental health issue, and it makes her snap and act horribly violent.
All i can say is that it's shitty that happened to you
@@1sg.Airhead Thank you so much. Knowing actually cares is quite shocking for me.

I sang this at like 8 years old thinking they were just words
Now I'm here...I and these are NOT words
But they are words
It's fucking art
When your happy you enjoy the melody
When your sad you know the lyrics

I sat on my sofa and cried for atleast half an hour. It’s deep , really deep.
Lyrics :
Yeah
I know sometimes things may not always make sense to you right now
But hey, what daddy always tell you?
Straighten up little soldier
Stiffen up that upper lip
What you crying about?
You got me
Hailie, I know you miss your mom, and I know you miss your dad
When I'm gone, but I'm trying to give you the life that I never had
I can see you're sad, even when you smile, even when you laugh
I can see it in your eyes, deep inside you want to cry
'Cause you're scared, I ain't there, daddy's with you in your prayers
No more crying, wipe them tears, daddy's here, no more nightmares
We gon' pull together through it, we gon' do it
Laney uncle's crazy, ain't he? Yeah, but he loves you girl and you better know it
We're all we got in this world, when it spins, when it swirls
When it whirls, when it twirls, two little beautiful girls
Lookin' puzzled, in a daze, I know it's confusing you
Daddy's always on the move, mamma's always on the news
I try to keep you sheltered from it, but somehow it seems
The harder that I try to do that, the more it backfires on me
All the things growing up, his daddy, daddy had to see
Daddy don't want you to see, but you see just as much as he did
We did not plan it to be this way, your mother and me
But things have gotten so bad between us, I don't see us ever being together
Ever again like we used to be when we was teenagers
But then of course everything always happens for a reason
I guess it was never meant to be
But it's just something we have no control, over and that's what destiny is
But no more worries, rest your head and go to sleep
Maybe one day we'll wake up, and this will all just be a dream
Now hush little baby, don't you cry
Everything's gonna be alright
Stiffen that upper-lip up, little lady, I told ya
Daddy's here to hold ya through the night
I know mommy's not here right now, and we don't know why
We fear how we feel inside
It may seem a little crazy, pretty baby
But I promise momma's gon' be alright
Huh, it's funny
I remember back one year when daddy had no money
Mommy wrapped the Christmas presents up and stuck 'em under the tree
And said, "Some of 'em were from me, 'cause Daddy couldn't buy 'em"
I'll never forget that Christmas, I sat up the whole night crying
'Cause daddy felt like a bum
See daddy had a job
But his job was to keep the food on the table for you and mom
And at the time every house that we lived in
Either kept getting broke into and robbed
Or shot up on the block
And your Mom was saving money for you in a jar
Tryna start a piggy bank for you, so you could go to college
Almost had a thousand dollars 'til someone broke in and stole it
And I know it hurt so bad, it broke your momma's heart
And it seemed like everything was just startin' to fall apart
Mom and dad was arguin' a lot, so momma moved back
On the Chalmers in the flat one-bedroom apartment
And dad moved back to the other side of 8 Mile on Novara
And that's when daddy went to California with his C.D
And met Dr. Dre, and flew you and momma out to see me
But daddy had to work, you and momma had to leave me
Then you started seeing daddy on the T.V
And momma didn't like it, and you and Laney were to young to understand it
Papa was a rollin' stone, momma developed a habit
And it all happened too fast for either one of us to grab it
I'm just sorry you were there and had to witness it first hand
'Cause all I ever wanted to do was just make you proud
Now I'm sittin' in this empty house
Just reminiscing, lookin' at your baby pictures
It just trips me out
To see how much you both have grown
It's almost like you're sisters now
Wow, guess you pretty much are, and daddy's still here
Laney, I'm talkin' to you too, daddy's still here
I like the sound of that, yeah, It's got a ring to it, don't it?
Shh, momma's only gone for the moment
Now hush little baby, don't you cry
Everything's gonna be alright
Stiffen that upper-lip up, little lady, I told ya
Daddy's here to hold ya through the night
I know mommy's not here right now, and we don't know why
We fear how we feel inside
It may seem a little crazy, pretty baby
But I promise, momma's gon' be alright
And if you ask me too
Daddy's gonna buy you a Mockingbird
I'ma give you the world
I'ma buy a diamond ring for you, I'ma sing for you
I'll do anything for you to see you smile
And if that Mockingbird don't sing, and that ring don't shine
I'ma break that birdies neck
I'd go back to the jeweler who sold it to ya
And make him eat every karat, don't fuck with dad (haha)
Congrats all that lyrics your our next song writer 😅😅 made my night
