Album Of The Year 2024, calling it now. This mix is really bringing out all of the righteous characteristics of each member of the band... can't get over how sinister it's sounding already.

The entire band sounds amazing but the rythym section in particular sound phenomenal, the bass tone and cymbals really stand out
As someone who is finally working on learning about the mix and not being a little wuss wuss, I just want to go ahead and say on behalf of me and my deathhead soulmate bff of the last 15 or so years, we appreciate a lot Boss & we also appreciate the fact, you specifically made sure the supplied audio you were FLATINING was a part with the Euros Blast Cuttttin because we have always cut euroblast no matter the cost but no loss & it's nice getting notes from the big boy Boss himself who geniunely smiles when he hears fucking EURO BLAST CUTTTTing with riffs.. I'm stoked to finally work, learn and release my own death music insteaad of going to a studio and we definitely add you as a contributor. Yeah. Boss. Flatline 2. Riffs. Cutting. Euro Blast.

love job for a cowboy and excited to see how this sounds. i love doom and gloom and i hope this has a similar kind of sorted chaos that those eps had. for me sun eater was almost too coherent and neat and was held back for it.

Left a comment on the Northlane mastering video about the level jump increase. Now you aren't doing that here and to monitor the change is so subtle. I hear more tightness, subtle roundness to the low end, and punch but it's so light. Definitely pulling a great organic and clarity forward mix and master.

It sounds great! I'm very very excited for this update! Are there any controls (like low or high adjustable filters) that will allow me to further boost the lows (for more punch or density) or highs (for more air or details)?

First thing I notice about this mix when the single dropped is that it didn't sound as squashed as most other metal releases these days. I guess the hybrid mode in Flatline 2 explains a bit of why. 😂

Why did you feel the need to specify natural phase mode?
Must have something to do with pre-ringing
I find it has a gentler tonality, so it's less to do with technical factors. It's the mode Fabfilter suggests most closely approximates the phase response of analogue EQs.

If you're doing less than 3dB movements you should change the scale on FabQ to 3dB instead of default 12. Visually will help not look like you're doing nothing lol

This is a bit silly, he's clearly using different digital plugins, like Acustica. There's some good, some brutal digital saturation plugins out there.
