FYI: Best taros in the world are from Taiwan & Hawaii, no need to add anything else. But I really do miss what mother used to make as sweet taro chowder, that’s until I learned she added lard. Stay safe and healthy to all.
I haven't been to other countries, and I don't know where the best taro in the world comes from, but Taiwan's taro has always been fragrant and tender, which I like very much. Lard can add the finishing touch to food and enhance the flavor, you know it's too slow lol.
