Important thing to note about Quantum Break damage is affected by the Defense ignore of the 4 Piece Quantum, so it effectively increases your break damage. Quantum set truly does it all.
The anti-sinergy between Xueyi and Ruan Mei is real, specially on long fights where the enemies spend too much time unable to act. Absolutely not a problem in normal gameplay (MOC, bosses, etc), but it's a doozy in Simulated Universe. Still searching for the optimal Xueyi combo there. :(
@@EclipseCircle That's just her premium team for ppl who actually want to test her potential. She still works fine and do great crit + break dmg with just 4 star supports like pela, asta, and lynx since she already have the things she needs in her kit, she just needs boosts.
I found an excellent niche for her in SU is with the new erudition blessings. Using brain in a jar to ult twice will let you instantly rebreak boss every time they recover. With Ruan Mei she goes up to 495 Break value on single target. That's enough to instantly break the Argenti boss.
That aint a problem if you use Sushang as the main dps (and Xueyi as a pure toughness breaker) Edit: So the team is Sushang, Xueyi, Ruan Mei, and any sustain char. Haven't tried this myself so I dunno how effective this is.

Another point when regarding Sub Dps comps is that Xueyi doesn’t have the of best Synergy with imaginary element allies as of now. This is due towards a lack of enemy variety that has both quantum and imaginary weaknesses since only the swarm & its offspring’s has it. Due to that lack of variety it heavily slows down Xueyi Follow up attack.
Honestly, I think she's just neat. Plus, always a welcome addition to the team for quantum damage that doesn't require the crazy lucky 5* pulls like seele and SW. (I say this and end up getting multiple dupes of Ruan, March, and Tingyun instead of her lol) Update, yep still just one Xueyi, but hey least tingyun is finally e6 I guess, this character is really feeling like a stealth 5*, I just wanted her from this and it knows it
I knew my atk/BE + double crit planar pieces on talia/salsotto sets would come in handy some day! I wasn't sure if I was going to build her, but I have her relics basically done. Thanks for the guide, it made my 50:50 loss less painful since I managed to e4 xueyi.
CN Theorycrafters even find that E6 Xueyi is actually stronger than E0 Jingliu, both using Aeon. According to their calculations, E6 Xueyi with RM + SW would have higher damage per rotation than E0 Jingliu with RM + Bronya.
@@PersonaPrime it's E6 vs E0 so it's not that surprising, plus she gets the benefit of being Quantum (extra break dmg+RM break) vs Jingliu who's relying on nothing but her base kit.

Jingliu is considered the best DPS in the game by virtue of being easy to build and use, as well as being able to slot into any team. She's insanely busted, but not to the point that she'll beat out every other setup while being handicapped (don't forget, we're talking about e6 vs e0 and both using the free 5* herta LC here)
Thank you for the great guide. I had the worst banner pulls of all time here. Was planning on getting Ruan Mei with a couple of eidolons from Xueyi. Ended up spending 90 pulls on RM E1 and Xueyi E0 😆

I go for 70% crit, 180-200% break effect, ignore crit damage, if any attack - good, Aeon is her best LC (she will break pretty often, maintaining the LC's buff + it gives a lot of attack that she needs). Why ignore crit damage? We invest in her break effect instead. Yes, it will delay the enemies for a longer period of time, but it will also give us more break damage. Meanwhile, we just attack using basics and skill, which will give a lot of damage but themselves. hence, I prefer her with thief + talia. Her whole gimmick is that she breaks independently of the weakness type. So we could take her not only against quantum weak enemies
Once again, the game shows that Quantum is their favourite. They make a 4 star that focuses on break damage, in the only element that has a character that can apply weakness. They’re going to regret making Silverwolf for year to come
I really wish that Xueyi gains karma stacks when any ally attacks an enemy that has been weakness broken. That way she would have better synergy with Ruan Mei since Ruan extends enemies' weakness broken status. I think that buff seems reasonable for an e6 4* character.
The roll I want to try her in is a meme team that just doesn't let your enemy move. Huohuo for healing and energy. Ruan Mei for team buffing and break effect/efficiency. And then a main DPS, or in my case I want to use Welt for really triple dip in the action delays. Her purpose is simply to demolish toughness on enemies do get them trapped by Ruan Mei's action delays. It's gonna take work but it sounds really fun on theory.
On the bright side we've got new FH LCs coming in 2.0 which, without going into too many details, fix a lot of the choice paralysis for characters that want more niche LCs like Xueyi and Blade.

I got Xueyi E6 after 160 pulls (and Ruan Mei E1). She's still wearing level 0 relics cuz I'm building Ruan Mei but I can see the potential for a great sub Dps in her.
I have a creed since I started playing HSR : reunite family members... Hence, I use the Landau siblings together and now, with Xueyi showed up on my first 10 pull, I can finally reunite her with her sister Hanya... Too bad I don't have enough leveling mats and Hanya's SPD boots went to Ruan Mei so yeah, it will be along time before I field them...
I may have not gotten Silverwolf yet again this time but I will definitely get her on her next rerun (queue me waiting until 2025 for SW to come back). I really wanna do some mono Quantum shenanigans.
I usually watch multiple guides, when i want to know, how to build a character, because it helps to confirm what really is the best. I did the same this time, but i only got completely confused about planar ornaments.... some people recommend attack rope, some ER and some break effect. And orb was usually recommended with quantum damage, but here attack is suddenly much better. So how is it then? I know, that some of the choices also depend on what kind of role Xueyi has in the team (dps/sub dps), but those recommendations are still all over the place. It seems like, no one knows how to really build her, or at least i don't know, who is right.

i love xueyi so much! ever since i saw her in yukong quest. i even used my black swan funds to get her to e6. i planned to run her with topaz since she's a follow up character and she wants someone that can do consistent toughness bar. but now i have a mixed feelings to build her since she wants so many stats. and we are getting ratio for free.. but i will definitely try to build her still so i need to return to quantum cavern again
Managed to get her up to e4 - which is exactly where I wanted her to be, so I am pretty happy. Still have to farm for her a bit more, so rn using the Thief set as I don't have a good quantum set and I can also benefit from farming that set since I need it for Ruan Mei too.
I got 3 xueyi somehow, then lost 50/50 to bronya... at least i got ruan mei in the next 10 pull after that. xueyi design is still one of the best though, second only to kafka (for me, at least).
Imprisonment works on aoe sweep, qua explosion is for single target nuke. Ignoring toughness bar is so OP, and the herta light cone puts her at a solid level.
Something I don't think you mentioned that makes the Genius relic set especially good for her is the fact that (iirc I tested it) it's DEF ignore effect applies to her Entanglement break damage, which will already be pretty high because she's building Break Effect. Very useful if you have Silver Wolf who DEF shreds (DEF shred/ignore scales better the more you have) and who can help guarantee the enemy has a Quantum weakness for the max DEF ignore. (God damnit someone else already said this LMAO.) I wanted to ask, how do her Karma stacks work if she's not doing Toughness damage in intervals of 30 (i.e. with Ruan Mei or SimUni blessings)? I haven't tested her yet, and this won't really make a difference I do or not, but I am curious. Also (leaks) there's a new Light Cone coming out in 2.0 that grants a 56% Break Effect bonus, and increases her Crit Rate by 30% for 2 turns when using Ult (both numbers are at S5). Do you think it will be comparable to Aeon for her? Curious because some other Destruction units will definitely want Aeon so it's nice to have an alternative for her.
Great guide, thank you so much Mr. Guoba sir. Can you also please make a guide on toughness bar, and maybe include how much toughness damage can each character do, and each relevant enemy have. It's quite painful I can't preview how much toughness a burst can do so I often miss those beaks TT_TT
Xueyi + Ruan Mei isn't really much of an issue until you get to single target fights where you can't break another target using Xueyi or her allies. Her A6 more than mitigates the offset of accumulating points when she's the one breaking the enemy at 6-7 stacks if you don't have her E6 or 4-5 if you do. Using her ult to delete a elite enemy's toughness nets her mad karma gains, and if you are able to do that near your max stack count already OR if you are somehow put into CC where you team can get you points instead before the trigger, you will be fine for your next rotation anyway, because in non-Ruan Mei rotations, you would always have to work up from 0 anyway. Also, having an enemy broken, getting universal PEN, damage bonus, speed, and break effect is much more valuable than just raw ATK% because he scaling is low or C.DMG% (off the assumption that crits are still inconsistent even above 50%, the buff can still be wasted if you don't crit) from other buffers, AND the entanglement damage is better for her cause she gets to double dip in BE scaling while also giving your team some time to breath with the duration extension + entanglement duration if you are low on SP.
Xueyi looks so Fricking cool I knew I had to main her. Yesterday I used over 100 saved pulls to get c2 (don't snipe unless you know what you're doing. I got 3 five stars before c2 Xueyi, but I didn't mind getting some Ruan Meis)
Honestly I just pulled for Ruan Mei, I couldn't have cared less about Xueyi. I over prepped farming for Ruan Mei so I spent my leftover stuff on Xueyi and fell in love with her playstyle. _Man_ is she fun, I got mine to E3.
So far she is E1. After I get RM's signature LC I will fish for more copies of her and RM ^_^ Finally I have reason to level up Something Irreplaceable!
Was so focused on getting her to 145 speed for Talia that she now sits at 1.8k attack and abysmal cr/dmg stats... Welp, nice to have all those substats into speed but she deals no damage :')
how do u get those stats tho -_-'...? i initially was thinking of 70-150 CR - CD 100 BE 2k att 135 spd but i lowered my standarts to 65 - 120 80 BE 2k att 135 spd and they are still too hard to obdain T_T

Try Xueyi Bronya Tingyun Fuxuan, it should make her ult spam and break the enemies weakness everytime it act agains

I got her to E5 pulling on Blade's banner but haven't done anything with her yet other than put the Aeon cone on her (sorry Clara). Even though it's not her best role, I think I'll go sub DPS with her since I've got QQ as quantum DPS. Thanks for the guide, I hope you get some rest!
i love xueyi so much! ever since i saw her in yukong quest. i even used my black swan funds to get her to e6.
i planned to run her with topaz since she's a follow up character and she wants someone that can do consistent toughness bar.
but now i have a mixed feelings to build her since she wants so many stats. and we are getting ratio for free..
but i will definitely try to build her still so i need to return to quantum cavern again

The saving grace for me that missed 50/50 on Ruan Mei is getting E6 Xueyi and Ting Yun - At least got a nice new unit as consolation lol

Managed to get her up to e4 - which is exactly where I wanted her to be, so I am pretty happy. Still have to farm for her a bit more, so rn using the Thief set as I don't have a good quantum set and I can also benefit from farming that set since I need it for Ruan Mei too.
I read her ascension passive on her trial and was like: WTF? But not pulling rn

I got 3 xueyi somehow, then lost 50/50 to bronya... at least i got ruan mei in the next 10 pull after that.
xueyi design is still one of the best though, second only to kafka (for me, at least).
Imprisonment works on aoe sweep, qua explosion is for single target nuke. Ignoring toughness bar is so OP, and the herta light cone puts her at a solid level.
Something I don't think you mentioned that makes the Genius relic set especially good for her is the fact that (iirc I tested it) it's DEF ignore effect applies to her Entanglement break damage, which will already be pretty high because she's building Break Effect. Very useful if you have Silver Wolf who DEF shreds (DEF shred/ignore scales better the more you have) and who can help guarantee the enemy has a Quantum weakness for the max DEF ignore. (God damnit someone else already said this LMAO.)
I wanted to ask, how do her Karma stacks work if she's not doing Toughness damage in intervals of 30 (i.e. with Ruan Mei or SimUni blessings)? I haven't tested her yet, and this won't really make a difference I do or not, but I am curious.
Also (leaks) there's a new Light Cone coming out in 2.0 that grants a 56% Break Effect bonus, and increases her Crit Rate by 30% for 2 turns when using Ult (both numbers are at S5). Do you think it will be comparable to Aeon for her? Curious because some other Destruction units will definitely want Aeon so it's nice to have an alternative for her.
Great guide, thank you so much Mr. Guoba sir. Can you also please make a guide on toughness bar, and maybe include how much toughness damage can each character do, and each relevant enemy have. It's quite painful I can't preview how much toughness a burst can do so I often miss those beaks TT_TT
So there MAY OR MAY NOT be a free character coming soon that'll completely solve the Ruan Mei and Xueyi synergy

Xueyi + Ruan Mei isn't really much of an issue until you get to single target fights where you can't break another target using Xueyi or her allies. Her A6 more than mitigates the offset of accumulating points when she's the one breaking the enemy at 6-7 stacks if you don't have her E6 or 4-5 if you do. Using her ult to delete a elite enemy's toughness nets her mad karma gains, and if you are able to do that near your max stack count already OR if you are somehow put into CC where you team can get you points instead before the trigger, you will be fine for your next rotation anyway, because in non-Ruan Mei rotations, you would always have to work up from 0 anyway. Also, having an enemy broken, getting universal PEN, damage bonus, speed, and break effect is much more valuable than just raw ATK% because he scaling is low or C.DMG% (off the assumption that crits are still inconsistent even above 50%, the buff can still be wasted if you don't crit) from other buffers, AND the entanglement damage is better for her cause she gets to double dip in BE scaling while also giving your team some time to breath with the duration extension + entanglement duration if you are low on SP.

Xueyi looks so Fricking cool I knew I had to main her. Yesterday I used over 100 saved pulls to get c2 (don't snipe unless you know what you're doing. I got 3 five stars before c2 Xueyi, but I didn't mind getting some Ruan Meis)
Honestly I just pulled for Ruan Mei, I couldn't have cared less about Xueyi.
I over prepped farming for Ruan Mei so I spent my leftover stuff on Xueyi and fell in love with her playstyle.

Was so focused on getting her to 145 speed for Talia that she now sits at 1.8k attack and abysmal cr/dmg stats... Welp, nice to have all those substats into speed but she deals no damage :')
