Returned from marjora 2 weeks ago with chuffing covid, so not so relaxing for me and my husband. Spent 4 days in bed on returning home, only now feeling better. So glad you had a great time xx

We stayed at the Electra Palace the following month and were very impressed. Having experienced several all inclusive holidays I would say it is near the top of the list with the two negatives being that it is in the middle of nowhere and secondly the pebble beach. There is however plenty on offer within the complex, the pool area is fantastic, and I found the standard of food in the buffet restaurant pretty good. It offered a good selection, especially the desserts. Yes it's not the Ritz but for an all day all inclusive restaurant it's pretty good.

Thanks for vlog. I think jet 2 categorise this as a 4 star plus hotel and are cheaper than TUI. Ive always found TUI more expensive & theyre obviously chancing it categorising it at 5 stars. presumably
Wonderful video. My Grandmother (yaya) was Greek and lived on Rhodes had many a happy time there, she lived in Koskinou.

By the way, 8 minutes walk you are in the village, with nice coffees and restaurant,.. It's a brilliant place for windsurfing. That's why the stony beach is awesome, because you're not sandblasted. Windy season june, july, August.
toatally agree with you on all the comments on the food lovely hotel tho stayed last year back to pefkos for us this year tho self catering
Did you book the bus to Rhodes town in the hotel?

You're very tanned and look well 😊 Always nice to get away. I'm not a fan of All Inclusive in large resorts especially because it feels like going back to the unruly school dinner hall and quite dysfunctional/hit and miss with cheap food sources.

I drove into Rhodes today , it was hell to park lol , but such a lovely place , we are staying in a villa near Lindos for a couple of weeks . X

Thanks for the very honest review, I am not really an all inclusive or even a hotel fan myself as prefer to stay in villas or apartments and eat out in various places We love walking round the local villages in the evening too
Indeed. Ideally my type of holiday too though we’d booked this as we’d told ourselves we needed a total break unlike our Menorca holiday in June where we investigated everything everyday. It made the criteria for a relax but yes, don’t think I’d do it again. Thank you for watching ♥️

We are booked to go in Sept, looking forward to the chill time, but a little apprehensive there’s nowhere local to walk to 👀. What did the evening entertainment consist of? Have fun! Wonderful! The evening entertainment was of a very good standard and we also went in September. I’m not a drinker but my partner didn’t have any problems with drink availability. Rhodes town is great for a day out and there’s lots of lovely places to go to either by hiring a vehicle or local buses but yes the hotel itself is a little stranded . I hope you have a wonderful holiday xx

The ✈️ footage made me chuckle a little, because I’m sure that’s not something they highlighted in the brochure 😂 It reminded me of this beach in St. Maarten called Maho Beach where the planes literally fly right over you while you are lying on the beach. It’s an absolutely incredible once in a lifetime experience and photo op, however much like your video highlights the novelty wears off pretty quickly there as well.✈️🌊🏝️

Thank you. I’m not too sure to be honest. I think it was the fact you get 2 meals for free in the “nice” restaurants and a better room. We certainly seemed to have a nicer room than some people but the food let it down x

Ooh forgot to mention that. Well, actually we didn’t but it was because they made a mistake one night with us. You have to book in advance for both the Italian and the Greek restaurants but they got them the wrong way round one evening so they gave us the 2 other nights free. However, yes apparently if you want to go to these on more than one occasion you do have to pay. Disappointed to find this out as the buffet was like school dinners and not 5* at all. Shame as the rest of the hotel was lovely. Thank you for watching ♥️
Hi, I’m thinking of booking here in the summer. Could you hear the noise of the planes from your room, did it seem to bother you at night? x
It’s a lovely place. No we couldn’t hear the planes at night. We had a pool view room. They were very frequent throughout the day but it wasn’t a problem . I was more distracted by the pool entertainment in the day - the music could be quite loud but we would switch from pool to beach when we wanted peace and quiet. The choice of both was a good mix of
Who did you fly with? Were going here with jet2 and don't fly home until 23.55 but I've heard that once you check out you can't use the all inclusive anymore, it's a long day without.
Yes we flew with jet 2 also. You can sometimes pay extra to keep your room longer but we couldn’t because the hotel was full. We were offered a shower room for 40 minutes at a time of our choice on check out day and were allowed to use all the facilities on our last day. There is also a little shop a pub/small restaurant opposite where you can go also. We didn’t encounter any problems on check out day. Hope this helps and have a lovely time xx
did you end up paying extra for the use of italian rstaurant btw. we have booked to go here in may
Ooh you will like it very much. We didn’t pay the extra in the end as there was a mix up - I’ll explain in this Sundays vlog! But yes, the rules are you get 1 free evening meal in the Italian and 1 in the Greek per week. You can use the Italian restaurant at lunch time as part of the all inclusive package. I’ve noticed since we booked, the rating has gone down to 4* plus x
Hi polly, what month did you visit rhodes. It says you posted 6 months ago but was wondering if you went earlier on in the year?
Hi. Yes we went the middle week of September 2023. Rhodes is extremely hot and even until October remains around 30 to 35 degrees x
Hi, looking to book this hotel can you please tell me if there is a strict dress code for men in the evenings? Been reading mixed reviews about this!
They did state smart dress for the evening when we booked but plenty of people were dining in shorts-I don’t think it’s overly strict. Lovely place but mixed feelings regarding the food and as long as you are happy to stay in one place ( unless you hire a car ) it’s great. There is absolutely nothing around the hotel though no other bars or shops for a few miles x
Did they end up charging you for the multiple visits to the Italian?
No they didn’t - we did tell reception on departure that we had but as the individual restaurants didn’t bill our room, the reception told us there was nothing to pay x
Did you get charged extra in the end for booking the Greek and Italian restaurant twice?
No we didn’t x
Also was it easy to find your way back to the bus? 😂😂
Yes the hotel organised the bus to and from and you are dropped in a central car park in the town and given a time to return there to be picked up x
