- Just arrived is this immaculate example of the ultimate Mercedes-Benz W126 sedan, a 1987 560SEL finished in stunning Anthracite Metallic with Palomino leather. This car was traded to us by the original owner, who has driven and conscientiously maintained it since originally leasing it in 1987. This car is equipped with power and heated seats (front and back!), full leather, power sunroof, driver airbag, ABS brakes, leather wheel and shifter, factory "aero" alloy wheels, and much more. This is one of the finest examples I've seen in years, and the only one owner car I can remember in ages.
This big Mercedes has been freshly serviced by our workshop, with everything found to be in good working order - the engine runs smooth, the transmission shifts as it should, the brakes are in great shape, and the AC is cold. These cars were the ultimate sedans in the 1980s, and are increasingly collectible today. What I love most about them is that they perfectly balance old and new - they are vintage enough to be made to classic Mercedes standards, with incredible build quality and bank-vault construction, but also modern enough to have airbags and antilock brakes, and be comfortable drivers at highway speeds. i bought one at an impound auction yesterday for 300 dollars all original, was stored at a storage facility until recently, no rust!!!!! interiot is intact also lol giving it to my dad as a christmas present

Back in the day in 2005 my dad traded a 1974 VW bug and a 1974 450 SLC for the EXACT SAME 1987 560 SEL in Anthracite grey metallic with palomino interior. Like you said Bill, makes one certainly feel like Chairman of the board. Wow Bill you redline'd that 560 SEL like a rocket 🚀 I'm a HUGE fan of Bill and the entire team at Auto Haus of Naples Florida.

Dave Lennard in France a very good condition W126 560 SeL or SeC in few mileage (under 50K miles) can sell it 20 000€ (22K$)....same model with twice or more mileage but in good condition cost is maximum 12 K€ (13 500$)...... but another model of W126 in short whelebase dont exceed 5k€ (6K$) for a 500...and 3k€(3,5k$) for a 280 to 420......

Dave Lennard in france its top price (i had write SEL for 560)...its the true flagship of star brand.... in France people hate big engine(v8 and v12...are just for rare pearson)

I had buy my 600sel (w220 2001) a littl bit under 10 000€ (12 000$) in 2012 (100 000 miles )...nothing for a big engine.......its the price because people is silly and like cruise in horrible economics shit eaters cars ....its our chance for us( smarts guys)

Im teary eyed. Thinking of selling 'my baby' 1987 W124 E class. Gold, leather interior, 200 auto for a few hundred quid. She needs a new front middle exhaust. Still Has original 30 year old exhaust. And some other minor bits n bobs. I've Had her 12 years. Love her to death. Am I crazy to sell or crazy to cry ?

As only Mercedes can do it, a truely toally mega car, I had a 190E some years ago, it was built like a tank, Mercedes spent over £6m developing the 190E. I now own an E Class 3.2 CDI Estate which I bought in 2009 with only 62000 miles on the clock, now there's 145000 mies up, as things stand I ðont think I'll live long enough to put the miles up on this beautiful car, but hell, I'm going to enjoy every minute trying, thanks Mercedes-Benz...

Needs bigger wheels, needs to be an inch lower at front and an inch higher at back, that would level her out perfectly.
If you own or are thinking about purchasing a v8 powered Mercedes from this era, make sure the plastic timing chain guides are replaced.
My father had one of these. I loved driving it. So smooth and graceful but still powerful, especially for the 80's. Would love to drive one again sometime.
Rolls Royce was far better built than merc. I know very well but all you need to do is see how many rolls Royce are around and how many Mercs. I had one of these a class and it ended up being scrap. Good cars but not a patch on Rolls Royce.
I had a lovely 420 SEL a while back, even with high miles the big sedan was a fantastic automobile. Even with an E55 I miss the big sedan.
Such great videos, makes me want to buy my next MB from you! I have a 91 and use it as a daily driver. Nothing feels like it, just amazing attention to detail. I love how timeless it is and how everything still works perfectly.
