You should have mentioned that you reduced scaled the cleaned up external scan model along its locale coordinates system. Great video, so far. 😑🇦🇺🤜🏼🤛🏼☮️🍀😎
Hi, first of all great explanation for variety of ways for internal cavity scanning. However, I curious about how do you align scanned silicone geometries with the main scan??? With feature align or you scan the silicone when it in the port for the alignment?
Hey Mark, if I'm just getting into 3D design and looking into learn 3D scanning and reverse engineering down the road. What online courses and software do you recommend for beginners ? Awesome videos, thanks in advance.
this is very well put together great job! im writing MA thesis on 3d scaning the "inside" of objects and it's fascinating!
Straight up incredible!
Glad you enjoyed. Many more videos in the works.
Dude this video is amazing, thank you!
Thanks

Excelent content! really useful
Thanks. We have many more in-depth application specific videos in the works. Expect another one next week.
Amazing
Again great content, thank you guys. i want to ask you for the stl file of the sectioning part to use as an exercise if its possible

We used the partial alignment tool in Design X. You can select the area of silicon and the mating area of the part and align them.
How can I acquire one of those probes? It looks perfect for my use case

Anything you can find on TH-cam. I don't know of any other free training out there.
Lots of videos online but most of them do not share the file being used.
Please share the stl file for practice 🙏
HI MD, these parts were all real paid projects and we don't share customer's data. Sorry.

how much would it cost to 3D scan a cylinder head from a 4g63 motor?
Send us some pictures and we can give you an idea of cost.
In place of silicone rubber you can use a coating then scan with x-ray 🤷🏻♂️
You can certainly CT Scan the parts however, it can be very expensive on large parts.
