I have somehow been watching locker room tours and equipment guy videos the last few weeks on youtube, and now this one shows up... it is produced so good, and I hope the Chicklets crew do more of these
Been to a couple ASU hockey games this year. The crowd was into it and the games I went to were sold out. It was a great environment! It’s funny they want more D1 hockey teams on the west coast. Would be great to have a west coast division someday.
So fun watching games there. ASU is on its way to getting top recruits and building perennial winners. AZ hockey IS Doan and it's great to see Josh carrying the name forward.
They are starting to tap into more of the ever growing pipeline of good players coming out of California and are close to stealing some solid Western Canadians away from Denver and North Dakota. Just gotta get in a conference
We definitely need more college hockey locker room tours. There are tons of football and basketball tours but the hockey gets over looked. 10/10 great production and the hosts crushed it.
That sucks that you had to go through that, but I'm sure you would do the bare minimum amount of research (or just know by cultural osmosis given the video you watched) to know how this got paid for yeah?
So much fun catching a game there. Saw the Avs at Mullet and boy was it pricey but awesome. The ASU games are hella fun too. ASU also got some of the cleanest unis in college.
Liane Blyn used to run Athletic Based Training in Holliston MA. She'd work with all the high school kids and was incredible for us. Our hockey team went from 1-18-1 to 12-8 and went 4 rounds deep in states. A lot went into that but the fact the entire team worked out together throughout the year and her (and her husband Rich)'s help went a long way.
For real, I remember the ACHA days as a fan, like maybe 300 people showed up for big games. And the locker rooms were such dives. Loved it, and sad to hear its closing.
Pegula Ice Arena at Penn State is unreal too. I got a tour of the facility during 90% construction in 2013 as an engineering student and was blown away. Better than some NHL arenas!
These kids have it made. Playing hockey in a warm climate, super hot women on campus. ASU is known as a elite party school. What more could you ask for? Enjoy it boys
so THIS is why NHL is so adamant about having hockey in Arizona. Build up the base, alot of high income to pay for it. To hell that it's hot down there, they have the resources to sustain hockey rinks. I play year round in Canada and it's awesome to play in the summer, go in with flip flops, after the game a cold beer feels extra nice.
I can totally get your frustration if you are affiliated with a school that is paying a lot of money for sports and not for students. However, I think quite a few people don't realize the bureaucratic red tape that is involved with paying for these things. These school are not just shelling out a quarter of a million and stuff directly for sports facilities.
Watching this as a Swede is just unreal. College guys in the US play in nicer facilities than literally any SHL team. Insane how much money y'all got lol
Went to Rangers/ Coyotes game, 70% of the crowd was wearing Rangers Jerseys, only 5000 seats and the arena was still not full . The Coyotes should spend 1/2 the money ASU is on their team, maybe they can start drawing a crowd again.

Fuck yeah. Corby was the equipment manager for the short lived ECHL team the SF Bulls. I drove the Zamboni there and made lots of ice.
