Thanks for watching. Public transport and shared vehicles are not suggested due to their comfort, cleaniness. I suggest go through a travel company they can guide in such senstive place. Jan would be the best time. Phase 1 is mandatory for phase 2. Phase 2 is must visit. You will surely enjoy. Bookings opens 15-20 days prior. You can check from J&K cable car website. You cam contact Travelabhi.in they guided me very well.

Do you need to change the car at tanmarg for gulmarg? I was told taxi association doesn’t allow local taxi to go to gulmurg, we must change taxi at tanmarg

Not at all. Taxi do go till Gulmarg. In tanmarg you just rent shoes, overcoat. I travelled with Travelabhi.in they are really reliable in Kashmir.
