This is soo true, every video of note making and organizing are sooo over-complicated. I tried a lot of them, it just ends up with me not wanting to read anymore :)
I find this video very useful. It has all the important points. I think more people should watch this video. I would add links to second resources (for additional information). Especially for non-fiction or studying.
Very insightful as always. I think your idea of creating something with the notes you've gathered is absolutely necessary. What good can our notes serve us if we never use them? The few times I have taken the time to write a review or use what I gathered in a conversation with a friend it has opened up the text even more to me.
Personally, I don't take notes from the books I read because many of them aren't worth remembering. If a book is good then you will remember the important parts. I can remember all of the important scenes, characters, the beginning, middle and ending of 1984 for example, and I didn't write a single note about it.

One thing I do is take a lot of screenshots of quotes I like. 👍
