Second half redzone woes notwithstanding, if this had been a real-life game, I'd have walked away feeling pretty darn excited for Rattler's future if I were a Saints fan. "You were a few ticks less than perfect against Mahomes" is far from the most damning of indictments, and I can easily imagine this game having gone down to the wire if the Saints secondary hadn't given up that deflating end-of-half deep bomb to Hollywood Brown… or if, for that matter, they'd actually made any defensive stand of substance beyond the opening drive. Also, that fumble getting kicked up at 1:02:50 was cool as hell. Not sure if it actually obeys the laws of physics, what with Madden being Madden, but eh, Lattimore plucking it out of the air was something else. Shame the Saints offense only got a field goal out of it; settling for three there was their own death knell, methinks.
