You don't have the undisputed greatest game winner of them all this season: Giambi's second blast down 4-3 with two outs to win it 5-4. By the way, is it just a coincidence that you published this on the same date that Giambi hit that blast, or did you see the game and thus were motivated by it to make this video?
Next year is going to be very interesting. The first thing they should do is resign Baldo. There are going to be a lot of questions about the lineup. Where will swish play? With Gomes most likely catching every day that moves carlos to first. Does that mean they will platoon Swish with Raburn in right? And what would that mean for Stubbs? Is Chiz the answer at third or are they going to address that? Santana the permanent answer at cleanup? Maybe the biggest question of all is what are they going to do with Lindor? Great season I just hope we build on it over the winter.
I would like it if they resign Ubaldo, but I don't think that's gonna happen. He's looking for a multi-year deal, which is something the FO won't do at this point. We still have a few quality arms for the rotation, but it would be nice for Ubaldo to build upon a good year with the right people in Cleveland. The lineup is actually more set than it sounds. Swisher seems to be the everyday option at first with the signing of David Murphy, and Santana seems to be the primary DH if his little "experiment" at third base doesn't go through. Stubbs got traded, so platoons of Murph and Raburn in right, as well as Chisenhall and Aviles at third look like the quick fix for now. Since the FA market doesn't have many affordable power hitters with decent upside, Santana will have to assume cleanup duties again. As with Lindor, he seems MLB ready now, but I believe Cleveland will milk Asdrubal Cabrera's contract year for what it's worth and hope for a bounceback. Honestly this offseaason was a wash for the Tribe so far, and it's banking on a lot of variables. The only drastic improvement so far has been the bullpen, and if things go on as they have been on, that's all the change we might see. The Tribe is hoping that Kipnis, Raburn and Brantley can build upon good years, that Bourn, Swisher, Cabrera, and Chisenhall can bounce back from bad ones, and that a few young arms in the rotation (Salazar, Kluber, McCallister) step up. It's great that the Tribe made it to the postseason, but we can only hope they can repeat after losing some good talent to free agency and not doing much in the way of recreating that talent through spending. All this being said, I'm a bonafide Indians fan through thick and thin. No matter what happens, I'm confident they won't disappoint next year at this pace.
firstly... Ubaldo is not worth the $20 mil per year he is seeking... he wasn't even worth the $14 mil qualifying offer from the Tribe... about $10 mil per year is all he is worth IMO... in the 2.5 years we had him, he was only good for half a season... so i can't blame the front office for not wanting to hurry and resign him - his inconsistency is a big question mark.. Swish will get his regular playing time.. he will most likely rotate between 1B, RF, and DH if needed... you might see more of a platoon between Raburn and Murphy though - which is fine if you ask me.. Raburn is not an everyday player, he's best suited for his spot starts and pinch hitting like he did in 2013 - Murphy will most likely see the majority of the time in RF... between Gomes and Santana.. it's clear the starting C job is Gomes now - meaning Santana will have to split time with Gomes at C, Swish at 1st, Chis at 3rd and also being a DH.. Lindor isn't the real question... he'll probably be called up at some point in 2014.. the real question is what are they doing to do with Asdrubal Cabrera?.. if you ask me, I think he'll be traded before the start of Spring Training, or at the July Deadline - either way, Cabrera isn't going to make it this whole year as an Indian... the latest rumor is that the Indians are linked to possibly resigning Utility Infielder Jamey Carroll - which if they do, that make our infield overcrowded.. If that does happen, then Asdrubal could be shipped off shortly after... with Lindor waiting in the wings - Mike Aviles could step in and fill that void at SS until Lindor is called up.
Thank you! I will try and include more Hammy in the next one!
you missed the best one of the whole season giambs walk off homer against the white sox 5-4

Tom Hamilton is the man, but Rick Manning and Matt Underwood on TV are vastly underrated
There is no one, and I mean NO ONE that pumps up listeners like Tom Hamilton. Best announcer/commentator in MLB history.
