Con su Ova, su viaje en el tiempo para después enterarse que nada de lo que había hecho tuvo efecto, le tocaba destruir a los androides con sus manos, conocer a su padre, entrenar junto a el, ver a su maestro Gohan redimirse siendo aun un niño, regresar y destruir a los androides junto con cell... Este era el final perfecto, en súper se lo tiraron :/

Future trunks is one of my favorite characters. He isn't a brooding pessimist, but he's grounded and smart. He makes the best of what he's given and fights for a better future. Even plagued by life-scarring memories he remains polite, kind and compassionate. Why is there no spin off for him...
DDDestinyDestination True enough. Still, the Shin Budokai games were rather disappointing for me. I'd like to see how Trunks deals with the dangers facing earth using his own resourcefulness and cunning, as opposed to calling on Goku and friends to save his timeline.
Leon Goodstriker I like the set-up they have going for him in Dragonball Online and Dragonball Xenoverse. Future Trunks being the leader of the Time Patrol makes perfect sense, as he's helping to fix everything that could fuck up all of the Dragonball timelines.

Esta es la lección que nos dejó Trunks y el tema central de toda la saga de Cell, escapar de los problemas trae más problemas pero si asumes la responsabilidad de tus decisiones y no pierdes tus valores en el proceso al final saldrás victorioso.
Trunks escapó de su futuro e hizo un futuro aún peor en otra línea temporal, él se hizo responsable de lo que pasó y ayudó a los guerreros Z a pelear con Cell a pesar de morir y eso le dió la experiencia y poder suficiente para vencer a los androides de su universo y salvar su línea temporal.
(Toriyama está increíblemente subestimado; Dragón ball y Dragón ball Z eran MUCHO MÁS que batallas sin sentido algo que ni GT o Super podrán replicar jamás..)
Hasta mitades de la saga de cell, era una obra excelente, desde que cell llego a su forma perfecta la serie fue en picada.

@@MrBurgerPal He shouldn't have brought up the US version in the first place, but DBZ was also extremely sanitized and bogged down by needless additional (and needlessly rewritten) dialogue that grossly underestimated children. the WWE and MMPR (more this than MMA) stuff was definitely not an image that was suited to the franchise at either its actual debut period or anytime after the Funimation version.
The vocal thenes are the only songs worth a damn from the jp soundtrack. Everyrhing else is trash godzilla music

Hearing this song again kinda makes me wish Dragon Ball Z had the balls to commit to sticking with Trunks's timeline for its story. We lost so many beloved characters, but I feel like those were sensible sacrifices for them to go out on and a more successful passing of the torch to the next generation than the Buu arc managed, which everything that came with Battle of Gods/Super sort of undid anyway
Trunks's story is one of proper hard-earned story progression and consequence, while the Buu arc's focus on magic solutions to a magic enemy kind of felt pulled out of the ass/cheat code-esque, and therefore against the creed of the Z fighters who swore off using the dragon balls to wish their android/Cell problems away (I like that the whole of humanity is what it took to defeat the final bad guy of the story though, not just the strength of one man would cut it this time). He could have still gone back in time and do the entire Cell arc storyline, but then it shifts back to him in his timeline with him as the story's new focus and main character, with the rest of the DBZ cast being supporting cast to him, and Trunks taking lessons from super saiyan 2 Gohan back with him
And I prefer to just pretend the blue-haired Trunks of the Zamasu arc is a different timeline version of him... Hence the quotation marks on the arc's official name. Certainly not my Trunks
