How you talk about the blog Era & no Joey Badass, Spitta, Smoke Dza, Stalley, Action Bronson ,Ab-Soul, Schoolboy Q, Sir Michael Rocks, or Dom Kennedy Mixtapes on here?? 🤔
They could’ve dropped How Fly and put 1999 on the list. As great as How Fly was it was a collaboration mixtape. Joey Badass 1999 definitely deserves its flowers.
Bullets Vol.2 was when I first met nip back on Venice beach and let me say that there has never been another artists on Venice beach that carried himself the way he did. That did not force his music on you, knew how to sell himself, and was and is the best project I have ever heard come off the beach. And knew he was going to be special
Gucci Mane EA Sportscenter, Wilt Chamberlain series, Chicken Talk; Lil Wayne da Drought series, Dedication series, No Ceilings; Jeezy Trap or Die. those ain't blog era tapes but some absolute classics.
I know technically it’s not a “mixtape” per se (it was an independent album) but Section.80 by Kendrick was apart of the blog era and an instant classic. Probably should’ve been in these brackets over O.verly D.edicated for me.
He talked about everything except the actual music on the mixtapes. He compared what was going on around each mixtape and not the actual music. Get someone who knows what they're talking about
@@SMJDC don’t get me wrong. I like Detroit too but the FF series was what made me a fan & the rest of the fans before he really became mainstream. I seen more people wear pow chains & Tisa snapbacks after FF 3
Yeaa DC2 washes OD. But as someone mentioned 1999 would of been deserving of a spot on this list. Honorable mention Logic's Undeniable. Man so much good mixtapes out there and this brought back memories. Peace and love
Detroit over KIDS? Every song he mentioned of Sean ain’t even on THAT mixtape. KIDS was the beginning and THE mixtape of that era. Same with LONG.LIVE.ASAP..
@@tevinheard24 yea it’s good but my point was the songs that he had mentioned that supposedly made Detroit better than KIDS wasn’t even on the mixtape that was on the bracket.
What is the best blog era mixtape?
Where is Monster, 56 nights. Y’all weird
So far gone hands down
SO FAR GONE OVER ANYTHING
Rare Chandeliers by Action Bronson & The Alchemist
@@Complex Kush & OJ
Currensy deserved his own solo tape on this list. He helped define blog era tapes.
Not 1 singular one that was big enough tho
Weekend at Burnie’s, Pilot Talk
@@Osei_Bean_8ryant Stop it. You just don't know.
@@nottheonefromearth wym lol. I like currency. He doesn't have one
@@Osei_Bean_8ryant You may like currency.. This is about Curren$y.
J Cole 'friday nights lights' is legitimately A1
Straight flames!!!!
He's COMPLETELY wrong about KRIT. That one project kept KRIT relevant for over a decade.
I’m a Nipsey fan and I agree!!!
Krit had tons mroe great tapes after that
How you talk about the blog Era & no Joey Badass, Spitta, Smoke Dza, Stalley, Action Bronson ,Ab-Soul, Schoolboy Q, Sir Michael Rocks, or Dom Kennedy Mixtapes on here?? 🤔

The blog era gave us so many classic mixtapes.
Where’s 1999???
That was towards the tail end of the blog era
DC2 was the most downloaded mixtape ever on datpiff how did it lose so quick
I respect it.. but sad not to see any Curren$y. I mean Covert Coupe was something else my Gs.
Agreed. Curren$y was one of the kings of blog era mixtapes
Dreamchasers 2 one of the biggest mixtapes of all time. It’s definitely better than Overly Dedicated.
Facts. If it would of been section 80 I might of said that even tho that might be considered a album but Dreamchashers over od all day
Facts
🧢
Krit was here is way better than bullets got no name… 🤯
I’m saying lol. That’s not even nip best mixtapw

Dedication 2 easily lil Wayne hands down best mixtape ever
They definitely forgot about that but it's just there opinion and what they pick but D2 definitely definitely would have been on there
Dedication 2 & trap or die was before the "blog/mixtape era"
I ain’t gonna Lie Tyga’s Well Done and Black Thoughts mixtape was a vibe to me
You’re not alone fam!!!🔥🔥🔥
True that was peak Tyga in my opinion. He’s a better hit maker now but lyrically and stylistically this was his best form to me.
How u gunna out kush & oj up against how fly cmon that's just lazy

Definitely
Yeah that’s one of the defining projects of the mixtape era to me tbh
Curren$y- Covert Coup should of been on here. Alchemist is the GOAT!
Kush & OJ I wish y’all put more mixtapes on here but I wanna see more of these!
Surprised no mention of Days Before Rodeo 🤔 And put some respect on Libe Love A$AP
come on LIVE. LOVE. ASAP had so much impact. changed the game like no other on this list. smh
KIDS influenced that album and Rocky taking that route.
Live. Love. Asap for sure!
Kendrick over Meek when it comes to Mixtapes is Crazy
Having no Spitta is disrespectful.
This dude wasn't even rating and comparing the tapes half the time smh, just going off the artists' big singles of the era.
He talked about everything except the actual music on the mixtapes. He compared what was going on around each mixtape and not the actual music. Get someone who knows what they're talking about
Greatest era for mixtapes
Y’all are terrible for putting Wale and Cole together on the first round lol
Danny Brown Detroit state of mind
Imagine choosing Detroit over any of the finally famous tapes 🤦🏾♂️
They sleep
Finally famous3 was 2009

Acid Rap
1999

All better than so far gone I’m sorry
This needs a part two or a redo cuz ya homies BUGGING!
Bruh, is Bullets Don’t Got No Name 2 really that much better than K.R.I.T. Wuz Here??? I feel like he was supposed to think about that a while longer
K.R.I.T. Wuz Here
no Soul Tape ?! 😱😱
Edit: ah okay just saw it is only about artist who came out in that era too 😁
1999
Joey Badass 1999 is at least a top 3 mixtape of all time no argument
Nah
NO CURREN$Y?
KRIT Wuz Here should’ve went over BAGNN
Friday Night Lights and Kush & OJ are the best. Then More About Nothing and Return of 4eva.
Big Sean's finally famous vol. 3 should be up here too
This Era was such a good time. It brought so much excitement to the rap game and music in general!
Live Love A$AP is way better than Acid Rap
Waaaaaaaay
People tend to foget how important that mixtape was in the blog era......sheesh started a whole movement in Harlem.
@@JayMuggah88 It was like the pinnacle of "cloud rap"
Da Drought 3 is still the best mixtape of all time.

think they shoulda had the marathon instead of bullets ain’t got no name
Thank You!
Yall picked the wrong Wale tape
Plus The Pink Lava Lamp deserves to be in here
Also Finally Famous 2 > Detroit
one of the toughest brackets to date
Definitely Kush & OJ for me but I ain't mad at So Far Gone winning...
Cabin Fever
J. Cole - Friday Night Lights is the only answer. Runner-Up is Drake's So Far Gone
Wale mixtape about nothing and LLA are classics
A whole episode on “blog era” mixtapes and not ONE solo currensy tape??? Like seriously….
This was all bangers
Kush and OJ, no debate.
We'll never see an era full of free music ever again sadly
Carl is wildin.
1999 clears all
Kush and Oj and it ain’t close
Acid Rap over LIVELOVEASAP? Detroit over KIDS? Yeah I don’t need to go through the rest of the vid lol
Undeniable no question it was ‘So far gone’
No Wayne? No Soul tapes from Fab? No Rich Forever from Ross? 🤔🤔🤔
Mixtape era goated
I feel like you were either acid raps or Rocky
Friday Night Lights
KIDS
Kush & OJ
That’s the top 3.
live love A$AP should have made it to at least top 4
who does the seeding why is acid rap and live love against each other first round 💀
wait.... no No Cielings!?!?!?!?!?
Sad that The Drought 3 wasn't included.

joey badass deserve it with 1999 and Dom kennedy from Westside with love 2

LIVELOVEA$AP, Flamers 2, and Drought 3 and the greatest mixtapes ever. Sorry.
I would say section 80
Section 80 was his 1st album, not a Mixtape but I get what you saying bro
