Good morning from sunny Columbus, Ohio. It's great to meet all of you from around the globe. Just a little history from 1976. I'm 70 years old and I had a great opportunity to sing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on special occasions in the 1970s, not as a member of The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, but as the baritone section leader (for 3-1/2 years) of 40+ young men in the Mormon Youth Chorus (MYCS). The youth chorus and symphony was for young men and women (18-30 years of age). We were basically a young Tabernacle Choir and had to accept the same requirements as members of The Tabernacle Choir. Back in the 1970's, The Tabernacle Choir members needed to: be 30+ years old, be worthy members of the Church, be willing to attend all Tabernacle Choir practices (Thursday evening rehearsals, etc), participate in General Conferences of the Church and scheduled performances (around the world), memorize all music in the Choir's main repertoire, and have a successful audition with choir directors. A Tabernacle Choir member could stay in the choir for a maximum of 25 years. A full compliment of singers in The Tabernacle Choir is 360 members. There were 360 members of the Mormon Youth Chorus, as well. MYCS traveled to choir performances, primarily in western portions of the United States. We were awarded Emmy's for many of our performances. MYCS began in the 1960s and ended in the 1990s. Dr. Robert C. Bowden was the chorus and symphony director of MYCS. The Mormon Youth Symphony became part of what is now The Tabernacle Orchestra at Temple Square. Many MYCS chorus members became members of The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square. On July 4th, 1976 (Independence Day and The Bicentennial of The United States of America), both choirs (720 voices) along with The Utah Symphony Orchestra participated in a worldwide television and radio broadcast from The University of Utah Conference Center (now the Jon M. Huntsman Center). Yes, we sang "The Battle Hymn of the Republic," church hymns and other patriotic pieces. I was 24 years old in 1976 and was so moved that tears ran down my cheeks as all 720 of us sang "The Battle Hymn of the Republic." I don't think there was a dry eye in the audience. Those years were some of the best years of my life.

I have some music in my background, and at 86 (and blessed with good health) I still treasure the choir and orchestra, and truly value the Spoken Word (ALL VOLUNTEERED). Love being able to go back to prior broadcasts, as I did, just now (02/27/22)

    Rev. 22:1-2
    1. And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
    2. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

It seems that TH-cam inserts ads at moments in time that are very disrespectful to the performance. Obviously no thought given to when an ad fits into the performance. I hope The Tabernacle Choir considers posting on Rumble. I would rather watch a performance that is not butchered by poorly timed ads.
