Good choice, you don't have to handle the intense bureaucracy and insurance issues/regulations that come with it. Please do a "Your Journey" video, would be interested to see that. Also love your hairstyle, it suits you!
I see you're uncomfortable talking about the exact salary residents get. You've avoided it in more than one video. Not sure the reason, but it helps others coming in to know if it is enough to move to Dubai or not. Daily living in Dubai is expensive, as is housing. From what information I've been able to gather, residents get paid 10,000 dirhams per month of which 2,000 is held till the end of the year because of fear of people leaving the residency midway either because of visa problems or other issues. This is for Dubai residencies at Rashid. This may be outdated information, so it would be great if you could confirm or clarify if this information is correct.
Love you content Dr it's been a real eye opener, I'm gonna go through your videos in the next few days, I graduated from medical school in Latin America in 2013 and have been working as a GP ever since, I wanna be the best surgeon I can and that's the reason I've been looking for great surgical residency around the world, your videos really make me wanna work in an awesome place like Dubai, thank you again for making these videos, they are gold in digital form.
I LOVE how you face lights up when you talk about your first experiences doing intern work, You can tell you love where you are and I love seeing people happy with their work, loving your job is so important with your personal well being.
A big congratulations to u Dr. Raga... U r doing a great job , keep doing it , good luck... I luv your videos , u r a inspiration for many of us ... Lots of luv from INDIA ...
P.s new sub 😉😊 (I wanted to be a marine biologist working with dolphins and then as I got older, and doing a lot of volunteer work at a nursing home doing art activities with the residence, I decided I wanted to be a nurse) I now live with two disabled people whom my Husband and I care for full-time in our home. (My Uncle, being one of them, has had 2 strokes and is partially paralyzed on his right side and his gf has a TBI from her families car getting hit by a drunk driver when she was 8 years old, her twin sister passed and she was in a coma for awhile before she woke up) I LOVE working with people and got my CNA when I was younger and went to college for nursing but the nursing program was a LONG wait so I started working in the home health field and fell in love with it, and have been doing it ever since. My dream is to get my RN or BSRN eventually. ♡♡♡Can you do a vlog of a tour of Dubai, I have heard it is so beautiful ♡♡♡
Do not get Residency in a country you do not live. Most countries do not accept a residency from another country. Even if they do, there is additional training and multiple tests
Medical Intern If that's where you want to live, sure go for it. But fyi, UAE does not provide permanent resident visas or citizenship no matter how long you live there. So if they change the laws and cancel your work visa you'd be forced to leave there. If you still want to live there, do it, but I thought everyone who's planning to do their residency there should be aware about all the cons of it as well.
More videos! Your such an inspo !! Im a dubai resident studying in my final year of medschool in india ... looking forward to doing residency in dubai!
Hello Dr raja congratulations on your success..I wanted to ask if you please be specific about the salary? Is it 10K? 12k? 15k? I really need to know this

Hello Dr Raga My question is, for non UAE residents, is it better taking DOH exam for a GP and latter apply for residency after getting the DOH licence or taking EMREE from the outset? Thank you Please answer 🙏
@doctorraga thanks for the video. I just watched it and thanks for addressing my question, but you really didn’t answer the question of “how to find clinical attachment opportunities in Dubai...” I understand that having LORs from Dubai physicians are not a requirement for applying for the residency, but for those who are interested in finding such opportunities, how do we find them? Is there a site or broker firm you used, etc? Also, could you kindly find out from your friends about the Dubai 1 year internship? Can we apply without having done the internship in our home countries/countries where we attended med school? Is it a strict requirement for the Dubai residency application? Are there possibilities to be offered to do the internship in Dubai if we are accepted into a Dubai residency without having done the internship? Thanks a lot!
Hey Dr. Raga! I am really confused about this year of internship. For example, I am from Spain, my MD degree was 6 years and the 6th year was all hospital rotations so entirely clinical. Is this what it means? since graduating i work as a general doctor in a health center in Ibiza, while i await to decide where to do specialty with my partner, probably dubai! would this serve as the internship? i am very confused, your help would be appreciated, love your videos!
hi!Do they check that whether a candidate has been in continous practice without a period of 12 months gap as mentioned in eligibility criteria while applying for residency?
thx Dr Raga for all ur answers.. BUT for the application for the EMSTREX u said we need a emirates ID .. So those who don't have a family in Dubai or a sponsor there can't not have one?
Yes please, can you ask for more details about the internship? I have just graduated from medical school and I'm planning to move to Dubaiediately without doing internship in my country, so I want to know if this is possible
congratulations please which medical school did you attend, and as a US citizen do you need a work visa? And what is the salaries range if you don't mind. you talk of doing fellowship in many countries after residency in Dubia, Does that include USA or you still have to do residency in the US
whats the starting salary for doctors in UAE? here in germany for instance it is around 4300 euros per month in the first year (but taxes cause you to obtain in the end like 2600 or sth like that). thx in advance
Joseph Thomas You need 3 years of work experience after competing your MD. You have to pass DHA/HAAD/MoH license exam and then you can start working there.
