I'm pretty sure the Retconing of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilvers origins was done since Disney/Marvel studios didn't have the full rights to them at the time and Spider-Man selling his marriage to Mephisto was one of the dumbest thing ever

Retconing Scarlet Witch and Quicksilvers origins, that along with the 1st resurection of Jean Grey are top 2 for me. Damn everytime I almost forget about Gwen and Norman's affair I get reminded.
The one with Jean's first resurrection came on orders from the very top. The suits felt that what Dark Phoenix had done (feeding on a star and killing 5 billion individuals) was *so* heinous that in order to bring back Jean, they *had* to somehow absolve her of all responsibility. But you probably knew that.
I'll tell you the one retcon that I hated the most was when they changed it so that Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch were no longer Mutants. Of all the things that have been done that one really, grinds my gears.
Stan lee himself said that peter was always meant to be with gwen Stacey and they killed her off without his permission because he wasn't working at marvel at that time
Lying to Tony about his parentage is no good as he doesn’t need another reason to drink. As for Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver, I believe Marvel wouldn’t have the rights to them for the Avengers if they stayed mutants hence the retcon. Perhaps with X back under the house Magneto can get his twins back.
Marvel had the movie rights for Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, but not for mutants. I think making them not mutants was more Disney not wanting to promote (even indirectly) a competitor any more than they absolutely had to. I was kinda surprised Disney never made Marvel can the series they didn't have film rights to.

I think Marvel/Disney just couldn't call them mutants in the movies (because Fox had the film rights to the X-Men and related properties), and Fox couldn't call them Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in the movies (because Marvel had the film rights to the Avengers, and Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are arguably more strongly associated with them). I think the retcon was more an extra middle finger to Fox.

Yep Wanda and Pietro needs to be retconned back into Mutants. And I was okay with the three-some Jean, Scott, and Wolverine had. It made them really interesting. But if Wolverine had to find another woman he could do very well with Storm.
Which for super-heroes that are flagship characters the hero is supposed to NOT take up the demonic villain on their offer and tell him to get back to Hell where he belongs.
About the Pietro and Wanda retconing, Disney and Fox could use Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver because they were equally part of the two franchises (Avengers and X-Men) just like they could use the Skrull (Captain Marvel and Fantastic Four). But to avoid too much confusion in the audience, they decided to let Fox use Quicksilver (therefore killing him in Avengers AoU) and keep Scarlett Witch (therefore Fox cutting her scenes in X-Men DoFP). BUT the retcon was actually a RETALIATION against Fox (among other things for their slaughter of Fantastic Four). And it was JUST a part of it. Writters were forbidden to create new mutante and, MOST OF ALL they canceled the FF Comics.

The only good explanation why Mephisto wanted to make the marriage never been would have been the way to erase their child from existence. There were plot points in Clone Saga that hinted that they might have had kid that was taken away from them. Mephisto could see the kid as a danger to some of his more mystical plans as the kid most likely would have connection to the web of life and the totems like his/her father had. Thats is the only thing that I would accept as the explanation as no other way the event had any sense other than some persons personal opinion of not liking that Peter was married.
If it was retconned whatever was done to remove the stigma placed on Charles Xavier about him being in love with Jean Gray. Undoing his role as teacher to something derogatory that made no sense. A lot of love is given to Jean suitors all over there was no need for this.
Yes, that was a complete violation of everything the character represented. He ran from responsibility and even when EVERYONE including his aunt's soul and God is telling him to let her go he instead sells out the life of his unborn child just to get her a few more months or years of life before she ends up dying again, while he's left an aging and very alone man.

I think the new Galactus back story is pretty weak, where he was no longer reborn in a cosmic egg through the big bang, but is Black Winter's Herald and Thor one shots him.

I could see it that Jean, subconsciously rejecting what was happening to her basically created a clone of herself that she put into that pod, a clone of her prior to the changes and none of the memories of what happened. So no cosmic entity copied Jean instead she created a copy of herself.
I always thought it was pretty wierd that Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, who were raised by the High Evolutionary's cow lady housekeeper on Wundagore Mountain with it's mystical clay were co-incidentally mutants. Yes, to order that change to the storyline you'd have to really hate Gwen Stacy to paint her in such a poor light. The children really being Peter's would have not harmed the character, but quesada was obsessed apparently with hating on things he thought 'aged' a character like marriage and children (projecting his own issues onto the character).
My least favorite is what happened to Darkhawk. Originally his power came from an amulet made by a space crime boss to enhance his agents. Later it was retconed into the Fraternity of Raptors and turned into a villain group for Guardians of the Galaxy. I guess so Marvel can keep the copyright.
