I don't think it has so much to do with color as it does with newer generations having lost the ability to bring soul to their music. Audiences back then had a greater demand for quality. Today's audiences just demand skin and stage antics. If you go on today's pop artists videos, you'll find fans defending them by trying to argue that the voice isn't as important as song choice and that lip syncing is only logical because their idols can't be expected to sing, dance, and walk across the stage at the same time. I went to school with Nona from Junior 4 to Trenton High. My dad worked with her mom. Knew her well. We were always right up to this day friends. They are amazing talented and wonderful ladies. Great song was a big hit.....their first song was I sold my heart to the junk man. :) Love you guys xoxxo

If fashion today were half of what it was in the 70s i'd be happy.
70's were fashionable unlike todays hobo stolen garments tattered, that got run by shredders and shit that cost what 1000 dollars?
At least they would try to dress up and look decent, not like they rolled out of bed 🙄
You have to realise these are stage costumes not everyday wear. Not everyone in the 70s looked and dressed like that as you can see from the audience.
