What a mystical sound this instrument makes, it's totaly different from the sound of larger organs, and because of the not fixed wind pressure (actaly regulated with the pumping hand) far more expressive.
Alejandro Massó. Marcus Stahl, master Renaissance and Middle Ages Organ maker, with workshop in Dresden, is by far the best positive and organetti maker in our time. Anequaled voicing, without possible equivalent for centuries, enhances the mystery of each note. It calls out tears in every audition. A solid reference in the 21st Century.
Thanks for your quick response. I was trying to see on your website where is the option to see the prices and buy one but I didn't find it, could you please help me?
Casa Kundalini Yoga Sat Nam I only make instruments by commission, therefore in the upper price-range. If you feel like it, further inquiry via marcus. stahl@web.de
you make it sound very 'middle eastern' for lack of a better phrase considering the geographical location of europe i could say it sounds oriental but even that is not what I was aiming for anyway kool God Bless
Wonderful! Is it cone-tuned? (Does that hold forever?) Is the lowest pipe there a "3' G" or so? Is the "keyboard" close to standard sized (it looks like it might feel a little "large?")
Very beautifully played. I'm intrigued by the pitch standard you're using? Is it A 415 Hz? Aren't most reproduction Medieval instruments made to a modern pitch standard?
Thumbs up for those people who are still genius and skillful enough to build and play these wonderful and demanding instruments today.
If a flute, Duduk, senza vibrato strings and pipes had offspring, this would be it. It’s expressive and haunting.

Yes, you are fully right.
Schmystical. Everything can be 'mystical' when used right.
I want to build a pipe organ but this would be a good thing to start crafting, plus the sound would satisfy my medieval love
Just make sure you opt for pipes with high lead content. so you get that "Dark" sound.
This is the most fascinating instrument I have ever heard.

zo verschrikkelijk mooi. gebouwd en gespeeld. en opgenomen.
Marcus is an inspiration! He is MADE of music.
Thanks, very kind.
I second that!
It sounds like a viola da gamba ! Wonderful sound, and it is so well mastered ! Congratulation !

Oh dear god. This is so beautiful.
Cantar, hablar y suspirar. Excelente título. Saludos y felicitaciones 😀👍👏
Fantastic instrument - lovely playing, as well. Haunting melodies, sound.
Magnifique... Quand les silences donnent son sens à la musique...
Bravo! Very fascinating. Thank you for the upload.
Концовка топ!😅
Спасибо за ролик, ждём покатушки с гонок!
Beautiful playing .
stunning. magical.
A breathy sound. It is a welcome difference with the 'normal' organs. They are loud and harsh in my opinion.
Beautiful!
This is really an awesome instrument. And its ancestor of accordion :))))
Super! Very interesting!
Marvelous instrument. Does anybody know where can I buy one of these beautiful Organettos?
I made the ones you see:www.marcus-stahl-orgelbauer.com
But there are some other builders as well.
Just get informellen and come back if you wish.

Fantastic!
The fifth at 1:26 was very nice
Narrow down the sharps . they take away from a truly beautiful instrument

Scott, danke. Mein übernächster Kunde ist in Wien. Da komme ich also gerne vorbei. Bis dann!

What’s this piece called
you make it sound very 'middle eastern'
for lack of a better phrase
considering the geographical location of europe
i could say it sounds oriental but even that is not what I was aiming for
anyway kool
God Bless
Bravo Marcus ! Sehr schöne Lugende Stella. Muss aber kalt gewesen sein...
Wonderful! Is it cone-tuned? (Does that hold forever?) Is the lowest pipe there a "3' G" or so? Is the "keyboard" close to standard sized (it looks like it might feel a little "large?")
It is cut to length. And g, yes. Keyboard is just standard width.
Has anyone ever made a Portative with wooden pipes?
There are thousands. I never did.
@@MarcusStahl I'd imagine they'd sound more like a recorder ensemble in that case. Am I correct?
No. Recorder sound is better imitated with stopped pipes. As you can hear in my vids of the Chartres portative.
@@MrInitialMan, in fact, making a convincing portative organ is something of a task, even for experienced builders.
@@MarcusStahl Okay, I definately hear the resemblance with stopped pipes--sounds a bit like my tenor recorder. :)
Very beautifully played. I'm intrigued by the pitch standard you're using? Is it A 415 Hz? Aren't most reproduction Medieval instruments made to a modern pitch standard?
This one is 465. Sometimes 440 is used, 415 only for baroque music.
@@MarcusStahl May I ask why 465? It must be difficult to play with other musicians?
What kind of pipes are you using on this little guy?
Who is the maker of this instrument?
Description :)
Hide your sons!
Beautiful!
