TONKATSU Crispy Pork Cutlets Recipe

  • Crispy Tonkatsu 🇯🇵🎌👹👺 save the recipe👇👇
    INGREDIENTS
    2 capocollo (pork neck) fillets
    2 eggs
    50g flour
    50g panko breadcrumbs
    500ml vegetable oil
    salt and pepper to taste
    TONKATSU SAUCE
    20g tomato ketchup
    20g soy sauce (Mama Sita’s Toyo’t Kalamansi)
    20g BBQ Marinade (Mama Sita’s BBQ marinade)
    1/2 tbsp sugar
    lemon skin (optional)
    salt and pepper
    PROCEDURE
    1. Season the pork fillets with salt and pepper.
    2. Slightly cut the sides to avoid curling of the pork while frying.
    3. Bread the pork with flour, egg and panko.
    4. Fry in a pan with pre-heated oil until golden brown. (Medium-heat)
    TONKATSU SAUCE
    1. Mix ketchup, soy sauce, BBQ marinade, lemon skin, sugar and season with salt and pepper.
    2.Let it boil until thickened into a velvety texture.
