Nice of you to make the video. However, the adjusting rod at 6:33 installs horzontailly not vertically. The purpose of the device is it allows the owner to adjust the tension/slack in the chain as time goes on.

David, thanks for posting! After 5 videos, you are the only thoughrough one actually showing electrical connections, and programming the keypad etc etc. Thanks alot, will be installing mine today. One thing extra that would help, is to tell viewers how many wires and what size to run for the infrated safety sensors (I guess you didn't install them, mine came w/ a light which is easy to figure, and 2 infrated sensors one has 4 wires the other 2 I think). thanks again.
Thanks for the video, gave me some good information. I installed my unit, took me a couple of days. I was taking my time, but I also had to remove the old 19 year old Eagle 1000; I did not want to spend the $1800 so I bought this CO-Z. If anyone asked me if they can install it themselves, I would say yes if they are 1. Handy 2. Have all the necessary tools. Regarding the necessary tools, I had to use my grinder to custom make brackets for the magnets. I used a chain link remover because the chains that came with the unit were too small; I used my old one but had to shorten it some. I used my 3/8 powerful drill to drill down into the concrete. I had all the wrenches to use for the various nuts. I had special drill bits to drill into the gate rods, the magnate brackets I customized. So, unless you are handy type and have all the necessary tools I would hire some help to install it.

This video is exactly what I needed to help figure out this gate opener. I wanted to use HomeLink and found out that the built-in transmitter will not work and needs another 'homelink bridge' adapter. FYI for those that are looking to use this with homelink
If you used a 'homelink bridge', can you tell me which one exactly you used to make it work with a homelink transmitter
My 2004 F150 has HomeLink and I was not able to pair my remote unit to be able to use my truck's visor buttons. What am I doing wrong?

This video has been so helpful thank you so much. My motor is very similar on the outside but the circuit board on the inside is exactly the same. I was having trouble with the dip switches. I now know what they mean. Thank you. Picked up lots of other great tips too 👍
My 1st unit I installed was 3 years ago. They have improved the circuit board connections greatly, like putting in the reverse motor switch, and the push button connections.

Thank you so much for this video! Most helpful I have seen so far. I just purchased a home and the previous homeowner only gave me one code (which I reset the way you did in the video). I can't do the second one since I don't know that code. Is there a way to reset both codes if one was lost?

Thanks for the Video. Does it come with a transformer? How did you wire the transformer to the cable that goes to the recepticle. The transformer I was looking at does not have ground connection . I would be using a 12-2 romex with TOPENS DPS180-U Waterproof AC 110V-240V to DC 24V Power Supplier. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Hi , what is the keypad you used , do you have any link from where you bought it , I bought one but it didn’t work and when I’d try to program it it wouldn’t work and when I’d want to use the actual remote it wouldn’t work and I’d have to program the remotes back

Where can I find remotes for this? Do you have an idea? I have bought from Ali express ones that I thought were comparable, but they are not. Is has been an headache to find remotes for this motor

At 4:21 you show part of the page for the control board wiring. Do you know where I can find that? We don't have the manual but need to find that page describing the control board wiring.

Moved into a new house where the previous owners did not leave us the remote controls for the Py600Acn gate. I went to Home Depot and bought 2 Genie universals. I’m having trouble programming. Are they even compatible?
leva peace no they are only compatible with the co-z remotes that you can purchase on eBay and Amazon
I installed two motors front n back of the hse (100’ ) synced two remotes to each motor . Why do both motors open at the same time if remotes were synced to each motor ?
Go in to each board and hold the learn button down for about 30 seconds and clear all the remotes. Then hit the learn button, and the big button for your primary gate on all remotes. Go to the 2nd control board and do the same except use the small button for your second gate. I got this done for 4 remotes. Your remotes are probably on the same big button so they use the same frequency. Each button has a different frequency so in effect, you could operate 4 gates with one remote. Nobody tells you this but I've spent some time in electronics while working for Pacific Missile Range.
How did you attach the keypad to the piece of wood? Also, do you know how to change the batteries on the back side of the keypad? Please let me know. Thank you! :)

Can you wire a button to operate the gate? I would like to have one in the house. I know I could just get another wireless remote but I would like a wired one.
Yes. The manual shows the push button connections.

Yes. I recall they have a warning light connection. Should be able to use that, but, really? An LED?
I just installed a CO-Z and everything went well opening and closing, but my delay timing to automatically close works opposite. It opens the gate after 30 seconds. Any suggestions thanks

There's a travel direction switch near the bottom and it's marked forward or reverse just change it

I would assume so. think of key pads and remote openers as just devices that send out a signals. the gate opener can remember many signal devices . also i forgot to mention that the 1 key pad can open 2 different gates or the same gate with 2 different codes. this is helpful if you have renters because you always have the master code and can change the 2nd code if renters change.

What do you when the motor is on the left side of gate cause the book says that the default is a right side mounting ? Do have switch wire or something thanks
Manual says to switch motor wires U and V, and there is also an SW1 to change direction.

Have the same issue, dip switch 1 is supposed change from right side to left side motor install...I tried it but didn’t work. Will try changing cable U & V see what happens per instructions on manuel.

I have not tried it with other remotes but the frequency does matter

So you split the power from an outlet?
You can but i have it on its on a breaker with lights on the same circuit
when I use the key to make it manual to open my gate it wont move when i try to open my gate manually
For the one in the video i turn the key to unlock the handle, then you flip the handle open towards you

Im having trouble with mine. It keeps opening up on its own, any help is truly appreciated.
You probably have a timer for it to close after a few seconds and your reverse switch might be on the wrong position. So when your gate is close, your motor thinks thats its actually open and then tries to close it but ends up opening it instead. Try checking your reverse switch. If you pause the video at 5:34 you can see the reverse switch on the bottom right side of the screen. To the left of the white relay under the brown and yellow with green line cables.
Is it a 110v or 220v system?
110. The listing on Amazon says 110-220 but i hooked up my 1st motor on 220 and it burned right away.
How can I disprogram the control
Hold the learn button down for about 30 seconds to clear all remotes. I think that is what you are trying to do.
Bracket that holds chain to gate should be horizontal NOT vertical

My wire are black white and brown? Can't get it to turn on
Mine runs on 110v electricity which is 1 hot, 1 natural, 1 ground wire. If your electrician is trying to run it on 220v electricity make sure that your machine can take it. Mine did not and the motor burned making me buy another. The colors dont make a difference but the way you wire it does

@@jesssevela5133 hot wire goes on the braker. White (neutral) wire goes on the neutral bar. And your green ground wire goes with the other ground wires and sometimes along with the white neutral wires
