We may have finally found our Mike Hilton replacement in Beanie Bishop and their similarities are pretty remarkable! Both 5’9” and 180 lbs and change. UDFA and having play making abilities at the Nickel Corner position. Looking forward to see him develop, this breakdown shows his growth in just a few weeks. Beanie!!!!
After the bye, Sutton will be back. His snaps will almost certainly come ,mainly, at Bishop’s expense. But it will be nice to have quality DB’s further down the depth chart. James Pierre has become a special teams dynamo, and his play in the second half last week was excellent. Bishop caught more passes than Davonte Addams in the second half. We have depth on this team. That hasn’t been the case (especially at DB) in the 35 years the I’ve been a die hard fan.
Great tape breakdown Alex. It was so cool seeing how pumped coach T and everyone was when Beanie got the game ball vs the Jets. 🏈 Looking forward to Monday night vs the Giants.
I was never too upset about a young (clearly talented guy) figuring it out, what was upsetting to watch was he seemed to bear the brunt of the blame for communication problems on the back end.
Fans have absolutely no patience. If u ever wanna get better at fighting. Go get ur butt kicked. If u wanna become a better pool player. Go get ur butt kicked. After a while u get tired of getting ur butt kicked and u learn.
he has been getting beat in this cover 3 all year. Even the second pick was luck, he is just not getting the depth or maybe he is just too short in that spot. He made one great play on the first pick and another one on the bubble screen. Teams will pick on him all year with this sideline over the top coverages.
Yea I think people are overreacting as usual to a couple great plays that had a lot to do with luck. Doesn’t change the fact he’s definitely the weak link in this defense. That said he might be the only weak link in this defense and once Cam Sutton comes back after the bye Beanie will be great to have as depth and provide a little versatility in personnel.
Failure is the best way to learn, fans, often aren’t patient
Fans try to let rookies develop challenge (impossible)
Not just fans, but coaches and executives struggle with this as well. Owners simply don’t give them the time to develop guys.
80% of fans would’ve benched Russ after the first 3 series.. that how crazy some of us can be

Never forget james Harrison was cut 4 times before becoming the most dangerous guy on the field
Wonderful analysis.

Great to see the growth from the Cowboys game where he was picked on a ton.
Know that loss helps to grow a Ring I think
Hip flip is a basketball move

I like to imagine him running around screaming "I got a beanie on my bishop, I got a beanie on my bishop!" after those interceptions. Go Steelers.
WVU!!!
With this in mind maybe ,, just maybe the 25 draft will have no need for AK to rail about the need to draft slot corners…
😮😮

He definitely has been getting eaten alive, however i will say he has improved in some areas
