    Personally I could care less if he juiced. People don't get excited to go to a sporting event to see gentlemanly competition, they go to see highlights. Of all the games I've seen, I have few vivid memories of specific plays or moments. But just hearing the sound of the bat when Canseco beat the living daylights out of a ball and sent it flying 500 feet, is a viceral experience I'll never forget.

    • @carlinrulez

      Steroids shouldn't be cool in any sport. Baseball is held to a higher standard than football.

    • @TheLocalLt
      @TheLocalLt 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      jamie thornton individual records are much more important in baseball and these records were greatly altered by steroid use. Steroid use in the nfl doesn’t visibly change anything about the game whereas it totally changed baseball

      @@TheLocalLt Please, guys cheated in the past ust a smuch if not more. They used amphetamines, which are more performance enchancing than steroids. They altered the ball, and so on.

    • @TheLocalLt
      @TheLocalLt 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      itheuser First amphetamines or greenies are not performance enhancing, it’s no different than taking adderall before a test. It’s a slight help for sure, but doesn’t affect your physical performance at all. Taking steroids is adding dozens of pounds of muscle that otherwise would be physically impossible to achieve, yes you still have to work out to get there, but so what, if a player can go way harder in the gym for way longer than other guys, that gives him a massive advantage. Why do you think Bonds was pissed in 1998 and started juicing? Because he knew he was better than Sosa and McGuire but because of steroids their numbers were better and they got all the attention that summer

    • @itheuserfirst3186
      @itheuserfirst3186 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@TheLocalLt Ha!. Steroids don't add dozens of pounds of muscle. Yes, amphetamines are performance enhancers; especially in sufficient amount. They allow you to focus, and sometimes obsess over accuracy. Why would someone take an adderall before a test if it wasn't performance enhacning. Just take some caffeine. It affects your mental acuity, which affects your physical accuity. Steroids don't gurantee anything.
