    Is it true that when testifying before the Senate subcommittee, this knife broke down in tears and accused Kavanaugh of gripping it's handle inappropriately at a batoning party in 1982?

      Kevin Blanc That's right..he only pounded his own baton himself, until he met his wife, who used to be a majorette in the marching band, and now she Twirls his baton. except on nights that she has a headache..then he has to go back to pounding his own baton again..just like any other normal married household.

      You have it wrong. This knife was virgin-batoning at that point! Never had it been wacked into fresh moist wood.

    You should have reviewed the one with the ring on the handle because I will only pay too much for a knife if it has two handles to flip around or a ring on the back.

  • @bRad-ns6iy
    @bRad-ns6iy 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I like the blade shape, I agree with you about the sheath. It rides too high, having a knife handle dig into your side sucks.

      I'm thinking of buying some of those dangler rings for all those knives I own that ride too high.

    I want one for a skinner

  • @grumpyoldwizard
    @grumpyoldwizard 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That’s one of them there Prepared Mind designed knives. Brous makes one very similar to it if its out of stock. The problem with Bark River is the handles are extremely slippery. I put gun grips tape on the handle. I would call the blade a clip point skinner. I bought a Bush Bat and found it to be a cool looking blade but very uncomfortable in the hand.

    • @AdvancedKnifeBro
      @AdvancedKnifeBro  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes... polished Micarta takes away all the ergonomic advantages of micarta. I prefer non polished.

  • @kjbenner

    I bet suggesting that 154CM and CPM-154 are the same just caused a bunch of steel snobs to poop their pants.
    Also, that blade shape is clearly a semi-ulu.

    Having a magnet inside the sheath just seems lazy. BRKT has added them to other models as well. Maybe because lots of their friciton sheaths come loose, as did 2 of mine.

    • @AdvancedKnifeBro
      @AdvancedKnifeBro  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah... that magnet does only a little... the fit isn’t tight enough anyway. I don’t know why companies overthink sheaths. This sheath would be great if it had a big piece of leather looped and Stitched on the back, getting handle butt to belt height... then a loop and a snap. Little more awkward to close, but that way you don’t lose your knife.

    Many on-point comments, good job! Unfortunately mine (in A2) came about as sharp as a hammer. Couldn't dent a pudding if you tried, really hard (the trying, not the pudding). On the upside, the sheath, once I surgically removed that stupid magnet from it, is a great carry for my North Country EDC (and THAT one came as sharp as it gets). Anyone desperate to acquire a blunt JX6, let me know...

    I will always love 1095. So long as something is affordable, it's a great option. I will never understand the steel snobs. You use your knife to open the package of cat food you bought on Amazon because you didn't want to put on pants and go to the store. It doesn't need to be forged by Hephaestus. I opened a box with a spatula the other day.

    Knife videos raise one question for me....why can't people just bite into a damn apple?

      Man, apple and corn always get caught in my teeth. I always use a knife on them. Less peels between my teeth when I eat small pieces.
