At this stage of life, we are lucky to be able to date ourselves! 😉. In the words of Elaine Stritch. But we're still HERE! And Here's to the Ladies who Lunch!
@@conradmartinez4175 Good afternoon 😊. Not to worry! Mine eyes have seen much 😳 but also have poor vision! So few are aware of the GREAT Legends of Entertainment. I'm a huge Elizabeth Taylor fan. A few years ago, I was looking for a new book on her at Barnes and Noble. Young lady at desk had NO idea who Elizabeth 👑 was! 🙁 . I almost went all NORMA DESMOND on her. Check out Elizabeth Taylor accepts Jean Herscholt Award post . Her speech is EVERYTHING she was about! The last of the GREAT STARS 🌟 🤩 of Hollywood's GOLDEN DAYS ✨ 💛 💖. Hope to continue the conversation 😀. Curious, I'm in Midwest. Where are you? Nothing becomes a LEGEND like BLACKGLAMMA! Remember that? 😉
@@conradmartinez4175 Never made it to Vegas! Guess maybe it is land of so many LOST things that I think we both treasure. Great headliners and attractions like Debbie and Liberace museums to name a couple. Gone with the wind and yes, my dear, I DO give a damn! 😉. I'm in NW Ind, about 1hr from Chicago, but get in there much these days. 🙁 . We had a dinner theater in a nearby town that had top stars 🌟 🤩. But that too is gone 😢. Hope you are having a great day 😀 😊 😄
Probably the best Bette impersonator since the lovely Miss Barbara Heller. If you haven't seen Heller perform, simply look up the Dean Martin Celebrity Roast of Bette Davis. She has a small part there.
Yep.I read the book by Liz Fuller. It was FUNNY! Due to a hotel "strike" in the 1980's, Miss Davis came to stay (for MONTHS) with Liz, her 5 y.o. Christopher , & husband John. Liz was a HUGE Bette Davis fan, & a sort of "quirky" woman, just like the play shows-- but nice. They really DID try to contact Bette's mother via Ouija board & hold seances. This visit was just after daughter B.D.'s book came out, AND her stroke & mastectomy, so Bette was an understandably shattered woman.
Very talented, excellent one-person play. This would be good to see along with the two tributes to Kerouac(by Vincent Balestri) and Tesla(by Frank Tabbita).

Witnessed a show he put on at the Beef 'n' Boards as Judy Garland in Indianapolis, severar years ago. And my GOD, he was good. Bailet is obviously just imitating Bette Davis as a parody of herself (although that's what she had become by then! However, it was obvious that Garlan was inhabiting his body, his mind, and certainly her voice. Even different STAGES of her voice, where he became the Legenday, Immortal Judy for a couple of numbers ..... and then suddenly have a break-down slurring her words and openly suffering!
I'd love to comment, but I just washed my hair, Blanche. Besides, I have a letter to write to JIM BAILEY in Heaven above saying YOU ARE JUST TOO MUCH! Love ❤, Bette!
Fabulous. 👌✌️🙂😍
omg he sounds just like her

Omg, the voice is perfect. You’re an amazing impersonator. I wish we had drag like this nowadays. Thanks so much!

i don't really like parody on Bette Davis, but this guy is just amazing!
Bette became a parody of herself.

Who is Bailey's co-star here? Judith Light?

Even the cigarette damage to the voice is there.

huh... who is bette davis?
isn't this from a play based on a book about how some suburban family wound up with Miss Davis as a houseguest--a true story, to boot?

The thumbnail, that's patty lupone!
what was this? this shit was awesome!
I would rather watch Jim's impression of Barbra Streisand than Barbra herself!
