YOU'RE THE BEST!!!! Hit me with those WIPS - I love reading them all!! For me this week, I'm working away on another fairy wedding dress (the IG mates will know what I'm talking about!) Hope you're well & sending lots of love this week.
I’m working on a denim patchwork dress. The bodice is the top portion of some thrifted overalls I’ve had for a while but don’t wear as often. I have to gather the skirt and then attach to the bodice and it’ll be finished. I’m also going to add some patches from a purple flower print fabric scraps. Much love from a Texas girl! 💜
Love purple with denim.@@alogg1360
Team voice over here! Love listening to all the little tips and your thought process (and you still hear the steaming iron and the snipping in the background - best of both worlds!)
I love a little voice over explaining things! even tho I'm not really a beginner it's still super interesting to see how other people work and I learn so much still. the asmr sounds are lovely too, maybe a little of both?? 😅 love you!!
OK that's so helpful!! I can do that!! hehehe Thank you for watching mate!!
[looks outside at 5* Celsius weather] Summer dress??? - oh, Australia. this is such a cool dress!!! I can't wait to make it one day
hahahaha Australia things!!! I hope you stay warm this winter
I LOVE this dress!😍 Also the final look with the boots is so cute!
Aw thank you so much!!
Prefer with voiceover, but would watch your videos regardless. Love your work!!
love it!! thank you for the feedback!!
The dress is adorable. You made the pattern drafting and construction look effortless.
Aw thank you!!
Voice over is a must! Dress is adorable!
OK YAY!
I love your smile girl. Keep on rocking it
Please keep the voiceover. Not only does it provide the best explanation and tips but you’re also a joy to listen to 🤍 thank you for another great video. I’ve been meaning to try try oversized collars. Thank you for the explanation.
Love the circle skirt with rectangle tier! So dreamy, I have to try it
Thank you so much!! It's just a sweet little detail!
Lol watching this video instead of sewing because I don't have a sewing table either and I don't really want my back to hurt today 😂
take care of yourself!!!
Definitely stick with voice over during sewing sections! Love your commentary!! ❤
beautiful, appreciate your feedback a lot!
So beautiful, great job!
I like your voiceovers! You sound so happy and engaged that it makes me more enthusiastic about my own projects!
Im making a ruffle dress in red chiffon that has a bright pink flocked flower pattern 😊
Oh yay ok that's great! Thank you for your feedback - means a lot! Also that sounds DELIGHTFUL!! ALL THE BEST
Your insights and advice are so helpful! Voiceovers 4 ever! 💖🌷🎀
ok amazingggggg!!! thank you!!
Still working on my patchwork crochet sweater. Soooo close to being done with the squares for assembly!
love it!!!!! assembly is such an EXCITING TIME!!!
I love your videos. I'm working on Christmas gifts for 13 sister-in-law's and 2 daughters and 1 granddaughter. So far I'm not done with any of them. But at least I started them.
13 sister in laws!!!!! Did I read that right Cindy!!!! Wowza you must have your hands full. I hope all your gifts come along beautifully. How thoughtful of you to make them all something unique & handmade. Take care
Carly, hope this helps but you added a frill to your collar. A frill is a strip of fabric gathered up. A ruffle is cut on a curve (circular) so that the smaller, inner sewing edge is flat but the larger edge circumference creates the floof.
This happy dress suits your gorgeous bright personality so well!
Thanks so much for the info!! I appreciate it!!
THIS IS SO CUTE!!! this year i want to see more of my own clothes and i’m so happy i found your channel for tips and motivation 🥹🩷
Lovely dress❤
I'm recycling a leather motorbike trouser and sew a handbag from it.
And I've two quilt tops in the making
Greetings from the cold and windy north of Germany
Thank you so much!! Oh wow that sounds like a fascinating project. I hope it goes really well! Hope you're staying warm in Germany!
Lovely dress. Reminds me of one I made in school back in the 1980s. Mine had a similar white collar.
Very cute. Love that you thrifted the fabric!
it was an awesome find!!
I love the dress!!! I turned out great. I enjoy your videos , you are so talented.
thank you so much! and thank you for watching!!
Beautiful dress.. ❤ Luv, luv, luv your fashion eye 👁🗨!!! And great camera presence. You, not the dress 😊✌️
Aw thank you so much!!
I love the voiceovers! This was a lovely video to have with my morning tea and start my day! I'm currently working on a holiday throw pillow, can't decide is I want to add piping or ruffles to the edge
OK YAY!! That's great! Aw I hope you have a wonderful day mate - and also !! that project sounds so fun - a hard decision between piping and ruffles but I'm sure it'll be awesome either way.
I really adore how this came out.
I wish I had your crazy hair 😭
hahaha!!
It's almost winter here. But it's okay, because I'm a weirdo who actually like snow.
I'm still working on my maternity pants I was working on last week. I kind of set them aside and didn't touch them because I'm also moving so I've been packing.
Oooh brrrrrr! I'd love to experience a white Christmas one day so enjoy it for me!!! Sounds amazing - I hope you go well with moving & with your pants!
I keep forgetting that you're in Australia 😂 Greetings from cold Europe!
hahaha so far away!!! hope you're staying warm!!
What a lovely dress! It’s a shame you ran out of fabric for the rectangle piece! Yesterday I made a hip bag out of waxed canvas and regular canvas and it was a super quick sew. Next is a ruffled princess dress for my 7 year old
It turned out just right in the end!! Ooooh that's amazing - sounds great!! Your 7 year old will be so happy!!
Hi Carly!! Just wanted to ask, is there a reason you did two separate tiers when you could have done one tier of a long rectangle since the bottom was just one long rectangle? 😅 omg idk if that made sense??? Essentially why not the gathered circle skirt in one piece? 😭
Hi mate !! hehe not really any reason at all!! It would be more practical to just do one tier of rectangle skirt, or a longer circle skirt but I guess I just liked the extra detail of that seam line!! It kind of falls in a slightly different way to a regular rectangular skirt or a regular circle skirt!
BUT totally unnecessary and just a silly little detail haha!!
i'm SO envious of southern hemisphere folks rn :(( it's so cold and dark here haha
Love the dress! I’m making a hobbit vest for my husband 🪡🧵
THAT'S AWESOME!!
Save the asmr for the short form videos! I like the sound of your voice and the explanations are 10/10 helpful
I've never been able to successfully add a rectangle ruffle to a circle ruffle. It always looks wonky and doesn't go right. I wonder what I'm doing wrong?
Dress is so cute! I like ASMR for sewing videos and also voiceover. Both are good. I prefer them over music interludes mostly because if I don't like the music chosen, it's distracting.
I have two WIPs: a denim a-line maxi skirt and living room curtains.
It is a bit weird!! Took me some playing when I did it the first few times so I understand!! I just go slow and keep pulling my fabric to make sure it sits as flat as possible. Hope your WIPS go great!!!
Love your site. Here is a request. Let’s see what you can do with sophisticated style. No frills. 👍
Hermoso !!!
YAAAAAASSSS. new subscriber and been binging all your videos! I love watching your videos while I crochet.
Aw heyyyyyy!! Thanks for watching!! Happy crocheting 💖
hey carly! Where do you get your fabric scissors from? also, i would prefer a voice-over of what you're doing to understand how it's done, still a beginner so your explanation helps! thanks >.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
With voice overs, please.
Too easy!!
Personally I prefer voiceovers. Im not @n asmr -loving person ❤
PERFECT!!!
Love the casualness of the dress, so carefree.
Again another inspirational vid. Love the voice over as it really Locks in techniques for me. I also want you to know that over the last week i have watched all your videos and you have given me confidence to be so more creative with my material as i am getting into my scrap material and going to patch work some material for the very first time YAH and then make a sundress that i have been tweaking to fit ever so perfectly - thank you again for all that you do and create
Aw thank you Tonia! Ok that's so helpful to know - I'll keep them in!
and YESSSSS that amazing!!!!! I hope you're loving it & having fun with the scrappines of it all - you're amazing. :D
You’re the best!
