  • Today we take on the infamous oil change on the new ford rangers. These have gotten bad press with the location of the oil filter. Honestly, it wasn't bad. All you had to do was turn the wheel and you could access all of it. Didn't even need to take the wheel off like some people say you need to.
it really was the fastest oil change that I've ever done.
    See step by step here.
Also see how disappointed I was when I dropped the spare tire and saw that it wasn't a "true" full sized spare.
Help me get to 1000 subs!!! I will start doing give aways once we get there to help give back to the community we have built here.
Put in the comments what you'd like to have, get those subs up, and I'll make it happen.
Don't forget to get your merch.

You should change it at 5000 regardless what the manual states.

Great video! How often do you change the oil on your Ranger? Was this the first change that you have done? I am at just under 6,000 miles and was thinking of changing now, but the manual advises every 10,000 miles. Thanks!

I’ve been going every 10. Oil looks good when I check it and hasn’t been burning any. If I notice oil looks darker I’ll change it sooner.

@@Twisted500 Do not follow ford oil change intervals. Every 5000 thousand is best......

Howz it! Great video. Did you have to use a tool to remove the oil filter? And did you have to torque the drain plug to a specific set or just a nice quarter turn to make it snug? Mahalo in advance!

Yes used a standard filter tool to loosen it. And no, just tightened until it was snug.
