Thank you for taking the time to thank me. I make these videos to help others learn how things work and so they can try and tackle making repairs on their own. This way we can all save money and time from taking our RV's to a repair shop to sit waiting to be repaired for months. th-cam.com/users/MichaelBracewellTheTravelTrailerGuyvideos
Your welcome, I hope this video helps you make the repairs needed to your furnace. Thanks for watching and your feedback. www.youtube.com/@thetraveltrailerguy/videos
Thanks for the very helpful video on the Suburban furnace. Our Mini Lite is going on 3 years old, and we often camp along the coastline of the Delmarva Peninsula. So I guess I better take a look at my burner tube.
Your welcome and thanks for watching. I sure was surprised when I saw how bad it was. The good thing its easy and inexpensive to replace and you can do it yourself. Thanks again Ray, I appreciate your comments
Thanks for the video Michael. Very helpful as I’m thinking I may have the same model furnace as you have and someday I may need to inspect/replace the burner.
You're welcome Rob. I have a strong feeling ours failed because of the coastal air being drown in the chamber but I may be wrong. I'm thinking people camp inland a lot won't have this problem but I may be wrong. I hope you can let me know what yours looks like when you inspect it someday. Thanks so much Rob :)
Hi Michael, we just recently went out for the first time in our mini, what surprised us was the noise! Can you tell me what kind of insulation that was, measurement wise and the clearance? Thanks so much, wonderful episode.
Hello Nena. Insulating this area sure helped us, it doesn't block out all the noise but it helps a lot. Here's what I used - www.homedepot.com/p/R-Tech-1-in-x-4-ft-x-8-ft-R-3-85-Insulating-Sheathing-320821/202532854 / Unfortunately I can't find The "Suburban Installation Manual for Model NT-20SQ" for the furnace on line (You may this in your folder you received with your trailer). It says "Adhere to the following minimum clearances from the furnace cabinet to combustible construction" Front 1" - Sides 1" - Back 0" - Top 1". As you can see I left much more clearance than what was required, its up to you if you would like to add thicker installation (Home Depot Sells Different Thickness) I Hope this information is helpful, thanks for watching :) th-cam.com/users/MichaelBracewellTheTravelTrailerGuyvideos
Thank you for watching and commenting, I appreciate it. Its amazing how this burner broke down like this. It was a easy fix :) I'm happy the rest of the trailer isn't rusting, we keep it washed and waxed. Thanks again Ken
Nice coverage for a "How To" Michael. I bet we haven't used our heater 100 hrs yet over 4+ years. But? If I feel lucky (meaning I won't break anything), I may have to check mine for a good blue flame at least. LOL Thanks!
Thanks for taking the time to document your repair.

Thanks Michael :) I was shocked how bad it was but happy it was a easy fix. I'm thinking yours is okay :) Take care Michael and keep enjoying life
@@thetraveltrailerguy I think you are right on about the salt in your atmosphere there. Very corrosive indeed. :)
@@garlandstyle5797 Yep but its funny, the trailer frame isn't rusting, only very little spots here and there
This video better have some explosions. Kaboom 😛
Sucks about the cold trailer
LOL - I'll tell you that burner sure was messed up
@@thetraveltrailerguy Yeah, that thing looked nasty. About ready to crumble apart. Good thing to check if you use the furnace a lot.
@@aguyandhiscomputer That's for sure, I wonder how many more look like this out in trailer land
